   Good food, but not a top service and ambience of shabby place, especially exterior. Toilet facilities are dirty and some features are broken - just as you can imagine in a beach toilets ((. But pizza and ceviche were very good.

   We loved our experience here. I am not the biggest fan of sushi, however their sushi was one of the best I ever had. Full of flavour. Their pizza was amazing too, delicious. Happy hour was from 5-7pm with refreshing and tasty cocktails available. Lovely ambience inside both in the afternoon and at night. We loved it :) Will definitely be visiting again.

   The food was below standard. Truffle fries were not truffled. And the chicken satay was not what one expects from chicken satay. It was more of a plate with chicken in a cream sauce, which wasn’t pleasurable at all.

   Food served not as per menu. Chillies in dishes not specified. Very slow service. Only 2 dishes out of 9 ordered were to standard. Long wait for drinks. Worst dessert ever, ordered brownies and ice cream. We were served with polenta lookalike and sponge texture soaked in toffee. At the end management expected us to pay also for car park even though it states it’s free for nine lives customers. Food containing chillies were deducted from the bill however all other complaints were unacknowledged. Worst experience ever.

   Beautiful setting, nice atmosphere. Some of the staff found it difficult to understand basic English, had to repeat things a number of times. Whereas other members of staff were wonderful. If you’re eating steak, they cook them more on the rare side. Just to be aware when you order. Regardless good food

    From initial booking to the actual day - FANTASTIC SERVICE. Great place to chill over a smoothie, swim, have a lazy lunch and then chill some more. Ten of us gave it 10/10

    it was lovely. we were assisted exceedingly well. the music level was too loud.. it would have been lovely if i could speak in normal voice level to my loves ones and possibly hear the waves. orher than that we are very satisfied with our dining experience

    NineLives was a very nice spot to eat. The food came quickly as I ordered a margarita pizza and a virgin pina colada. The views of the Beach and the sunset just added to the experience

    Was too noisy at our table, waiting staff slow and some do not understand plain english. Waiters need more training and should look smarter including the head waiter/manager. Food is good and location is fantastic for kids and those that want to chill!

    Food came to fast! Drink the same time as the food! Some of us had sushi and some pizza ! As a main and the sushi came straight out when the pizza took 10 mins so our friends was watching us eat.

    Lovely birthday meal spent at the restaurant on our first night on the island. Whenever I’m here I always go to 9lives as it’s amazing. Thanks for the birthday sparklers in my cake as well xx

    A relaxed and enjoyable meal just right by the sea. If you have a young kid no problem to keep him entertained just get an extra beach outfit ! loved the atmosphere and food was good. book beforehand and choose sitting...indoors with Ac outside on the paved area, bar area section with sofas or else on the sandy beach.

    We chose Nine Lives for a celebratory meal during our time staying in Qawra after reading the large amount of positive reviews. We definitely weren’t disappointed with the excellent food and amazing ambience that comes with a busy restaurant situated on a beach in 24 degree heat at night. The mixed sushi platter, Peruvian chicken, Satay chicken, calamari and gyozas are all well recommended. A nice choice of reasonably priced wine was also a plus.

    We were very disappointed this time. They brought our starters with the main courses, forgot most of our drinks. We had to remind them twice to get the mushroom sauce that we ordered with the steaks, the meat got cold as we waited. Did not bring the potatoes and vegetables with the main dish, some of us had already finished eating by the time they brought them. This was on a Monday evening. I get that the restaurant was busy but this was unacceptable. The only positive thing was the food which was tasty.

    Waited over an hour for starter to arrive and when it did, it was cold so had to send it back. Was very busy and staff were struggling to keep up with serving tables. Main course was delicious though.

    We were politely taken to our table but as soon as the waiter came for the order the issues started. The food took nearly 45 minutes to come, it is a lot of time for 2 fillets of fish. My wife noticed that all main courses come with chips and salad and 15 minutes before the food came she instructed the waiter to replace the chips with baked vegetables. The food came with chips and salad and although we asked the waiter for the vegetables, we ate our fish before the vegetables arrived. The bill arrived a few minutes after I asked for it but I had to get up myself to pay. On the whole, the food is great but the service is not up to standard.

    My husband has the Peruvian Chicken to eat - which was delicious - and I had the Lomo Soltado to eat; asked for it rare, and that is exactly what I got. So many other restaurants we’ve been to that cannot make steaks how you ask. The sauce for it was very tasty, as well. Service is one of the best we’ve encountered in Malta thus far. They also have hookah every day, for those who enjoy it. Also, the Thai mussels are amazing, as is the chicken satay.

    The staff need to know their menu.. orders were forgotten both food and wine, drinks arrive after the food. Very long servants but definitely need more training.. not servants to blame but the management

    It was a nice brunch experience overall, however, the service was very slow. Despite this, the staff were friendly and nice to make up for it. The brunch menu was good, but the 'pistacchio cream' served with pancakes/croissants/waffles, wasn't creamy at all and tasted like marzipan. We didn't like the taste of it too much on our table. I've been to Nine Lives a couple of times since it opened, and always wonder why they are still serving single-use plastic spoons with coffee?! It's a backwards practice, that's far from being environmentally friendly. Also, it feels very cheap to stir your coffee with a plastic spoon in a restaurant. Great location, but there's definitely room for improvement...and please help save the planet by ditching the plastic spoons....
