Great unique place
Insta-famous. I’ll leave it at that.
The waitstaff was lovely, attentive and I have no complaints. That said, while the presentation of the food was great, the food itself left much to be desired.
The squash blossoms were perfectly cooked, yet tasteless. The meatloaf was tasty, but the potatoes and toasted vegetables ice cold. The pot pie was fine, but more phyllo dough vs any type of pretzel.
Honestly, it was a bit of a disappointment and I had high hopes after drooling over their Instagram for months.
The brunch pancakes were sad and small. Totally not acceptable. My partner got the eggs Benedict and it was good but not good enough for us to go back.
Disappointed. My dish (chicken pot pie) was cold, out other dish (fish and chips) wasn’t good.
Service was also weak. Took forever to get a glass of wine.
Other customers to our left and right were also disappointed.
Had a reservation and was seated right away after entering. The restaurant is beautiful with the unique design and cute details. The service was great and the food came out really quick! The server was really attentive and came to refill our water through out the meal.
I got the impossible meatloaf, and I’m not a vegetarian, but wanted to try it. It was amazing! The mashed potatoes that came with the dish was so creamy and garlicky, I finished that before the meatloaf. My friend got the fish and chips and she really liked it too. I tried the fish and the batter was really crispy and thin, and the fish was juicy and soft. Her favorite-part of the dish was the pickled vegetables that came with it. Which later we were told is made in house. She also said the sauce was really good too, but I didn’t try that.
Would recommend and be back.
Overall very disappointing experience. The fact that it was basically empty should’ve clued us in right away that it wouldn’t be a great meal. All of the food (that was available) had too much sauce on it. The server didn’t know anything about the wines and took half an hour just to let us know the salad we’d ordered wasn’t available. The food was very mediocre and overpriced for what it was. Won’t be returning.
The restaurant is really hip and the staff quite cool. But the creative contemporary cuisine and fun cocktails really set it apart from other restaurants.Even the decor and ambiance is eclectic, fluid and free.
Very modern & sexy place for a nice casual meal with some good wine & cocktails. The staff were very friendly & attentive. Me and 3 other friends had a great time dining here. We had the burger with foie gras (highly recommended, we ordered 2 !!), smoked duck salad, roasted half chicken (sauce was very nice and balanced), smoked lamb, and chicken liver pate tartine. They were all good eats. The cocktails and wine were very good, I had a very nice old fashioned. Would definitely come back.
This restaurant turns up on searches for "vegan" in Yelp *but it does NOT have any vegan dishes*! They list an Impossible Meatball sandwich, which should be vegan -- but conveniently, right after I had taken a bite, the waitress comes back to tell me "the bun is not vegan." Gee, thanks ! The hostess had the kitchen make me roasted vegetables with a side of just the meatballs, so I didn't go away hungry. But come on! Also, on a Thursday night, we had to go to our third choice of cocktail *on their cocktail list* before they had the ingredients for it. This restaurant is not ready for prime time -- everything in that area of Greenwich & 7th is far better.
Nightingale is not open for lunch. Even if Open Table says you can make a reservation (and schedule a meeting) it’s not open. The menu looked great but we had to eat somewhere else.
Only three wines on the list, didn’t have the one I asked for.
Server was inexperienced and not knowledgeable of anything on the menu, possibly her first job.
Everything had smoked pork belly on it.
Food didn’t seem fresh, just stuff thrown together.
Only opened 2 weeks, they were out of most red wines on the menu, but with that said, food was beyond amazing, staff super friendly as is the chef that came to serve our entrees and inquire about the appetizers. This is a must try! You will not be disappointed-
We were loyal customers of Nightingale’s predecessor, Good, which we loved. We have eaten here once. The food was very good.
We also appreciated the noise level.
A wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
Mediocre at best food.
Staff was friendly but needed more training to understand the food selections.
Way overpriced for the quality and quantity of food given.
Second time at Nightingale. The first time, just after it opened, the food was mediocre along with the service. Neighbors reported that food had improved; it has. That said, service was on the amateur end of amateur.
