Nightingale - Minneapolis
The space is adorable, and it is conveniently located in Uptown. We had a very pleasant server who was incredibly knowledgable of the food and its contents - very appreciated for someone with food allergies. We were disappointed in two of the dishes we had - we actually sent back the mussels, and we received a new order that was still just okay. The halibut was just okay as well. The cheese plate was delicious, the hanger steak, rabbit pappardelle and scallops were perfection. I would eat here again if invited by friends, but it may not be my first choice.
Enjoyed our brunch only hiccup was sunny side eggs had actually came out basted medium.
Amazing food plus bottomless mimosas! What more could you want?
Good food, good drinks but we literally had to yell to hear each other.
Only for the bottom less Mimosa . Service was terrible I never got the food I ordered the pecan French toast taste gross it taste like it had bacon in it and we don’t eat bacon . That waitress may have given us a vegan version because that did not look right
Fantastic ambiance and servers, food was delicious, especially the oysters
Great atmosphere and excellent service throughout. The cocktails were delicious, and I like the variety of small and large plates on the menu. Only problem we had was the steak being overcooked but the server comped it with no fuss (and it still tasted pretty great). Definitely planning to return!
WONDERFUL food. My wife LOVED the halibut. It's our new downtown hangout.
Excellent food, very nice service. A delightful dinner place.
Really liked the throwback cocktails. Good service.
Much much much too loud! Super loud music and terrible music choices.
We didn't have to wait very long for our table. The good was good. I was full from the toasts and their bottomless mimosas that I didn't get to finish all my food. My friend and I stayed a bit longer after our meal was finish to take full advantage of the bottomless mimosas. Then we ordered a second course of French toast to share. It was fluffy and I like the cheese with the French toast to give it a little salty taste. The eggs Benedict looked pretty good and my friend enjoyed it. The bacon was done to perfection with the right amount of crispiness. The server was a little rude to my surprise because she had used the f word to describe that I need to get the breakfast potatoes. When asked for more ketchup, she told me to finish the current cup of ketchup first and then said she has something that will bring the potatoes to the next level. She brought out the aioli that is served with their fries. It was good. It tasted like a little bit of mayo mixed with thousand island dressing. Overall, a good experience and parking is a little bit challenging if you don't mind walking a few blocks.
One of the coolest vibes in the country. Unbelievably good food. A+++
Great, as always. Love the chicken liver pate with bacon marmalade. Amazing, and I would never bother to make this at home (so much work)! Nice biodynamic Syrah too.
Nightingale is a favorite for us. The dining experience never disappoints, and Friday’s meal of pink snapper and roasted vegetables was above par. Beverages were delicious.
Very happy to have discovered Nightingale. It is not on the FindMeGlutenfree website but their online menu is well marked for GF and on site they have a separate GF menu. The meal was excellent and no GF issues for our one GF diner. Between us we had a wide variety of items including scallops, arugula salad, roasted vegetables, lamb meatballs and the trio of sides. It is close to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, there doesn't seem to be dedicated parking but we had no trouble parking on Lyndale Ave. in the same block. They have outdoor seating and say they are dog-friendly so this would be a nice warm weather choice.
Best, friendliest service in Minneapolis hands down. Consistently wonderful food, great atmosphere, fun and diverse clientele. A home run every time.
Group of 12 and everyone loved their food. Ambiance and service was excellent, thank you Eva. Loved the live DJ spinning records. Over all a great experience.
Love the DJ!
I love Nightingale! The stellar service, delicious food, and fun/cozy ambiance makes it my favorite place in the neighborhood. :)
We highly enjoyed Nightingale's. The food was wonderful, service was perfect, attentive but not overbearing. The portions were just the right size allowing us to try several of the delectable options. We would recommend Nightingale's to anyone looking for a comfortable evening with wonderful food and drink.
Great happy hour burger special!
Excellent food and cocktails, to go with staff and owners who really take care of you. A go-to place when we have out of town guests.
Great place for brunch. All entrees were well presented and delicious. Too noisy for much conversation though.
this was a welcome discovery with a solid beer menu and a full bar. great for catching up with family and friends. all hail smash-a-saures rex!
Never had a bad meal! Everything is always amazing, the service is quick, and it’s always a great time
We arrived too early for brunch but they allowed us in to sit and have a coffee!!
Drinks were inventive. Bloody Mary outstanding!
Coffee cups very small?
The hash was amazing. The pork dish was outstanding!
The biscuits and gravy was too heavy due to the dark mushroom gravy however. The biscuit was great but again the dark color and mushroom flavor overtook the dish and made it not as attractive.
Overall very very good and we will be back!!!
service was good; food excellent; atmosphere--on the noisy side. i'd go back though
I loved the atmosphere, with the low lighting and cozy booths. The food was good and the service was great!
Interesting menu options with plenty to choose from if you're pescatarian.
Super good. Friendly. Yummy. Great music. Amazing food.
Our server was wonderful - attentive and lovely. She made our anniversary brunch special and kept the mimosas flowing!
Highly recommend this restaurant! The burrata pizza was DELICIOUS and we had such a good time!
My favorite spot for brunch, but just make sure you make a reservation.
Went for brunch, great food, great mimosas, but they have a DJ for brunch which I found kind of weird, really loud and makes it difficult to converse across the table. Overall still loved it!
Fun night out. Great Rye cocktail! Tasty steak. Professional, friendly service. We asked for extra olives and got them!!
We (husband and myself) were first time dinners.
Interesting menu and our selection were delicious.
We will definitely make this part of our rotation in the future!
I had high hopes for my first visit to Nightingale. The space and vibe of the place is outstanding and lively, but was the best part about the dining experience. Our server was attentive at first, but as the meal wore on she became less and less so. The popovers were below average to poor compared to those you can get elsewhere in the city or even homemade. The hanger steak was good, but not great. $28 for a small cut of beef and overly salted fries doesn't make much sense at least to my wallet. My gal had the ravioli, which while looking great on the plate had an off putting taste. 4 drinks, 2 mediocre entrees and some popovers for $110 is not an experience I will be repeating.
Everything was good- the wine list and dessert was our favorite part. Ginger spice cake with lemon crème anglais and pears was 10/10.
