With ingredients sourced from the waters of the Lowcountry and a curated selection of the country’s most coveted raw oysters, French Master Chef Nico Romo offers a fresh take on seafood for Charleston's iconic Shem Creek. Winner of Best of Mount Pleasant Best Raw Bar '20-'24, Best French '21-'24, Best Seafood '22-'24, Best of Charleston Best Chef '21, '22, '23, and Best Mt. Pleasant Restaurant '23!

Del equipo editorial de OpenTable: Lyon-born chef Nico Romo is the youngest-ever US member of The French Culinary Academy, and his flair for French cuisine shows in the top-notch dishes at this cheery indoor-outdoor seafood bistro. Think wood-fired escargots with Provençal butter and flounder meunière. Of course, it being an oyster destination, raw-bar fanatics have plenty of platters and preparations to choose from, as well. Round it out with a glass of sparkling, white, or rosé from the French-leaning wine list.

Had a gluten free potato au gratin that was as good as their regular one which was awesome. Sydney, our waitress, was fantastic and we always enjoy the restaurant and take our out-of-town guests to you regularly. Tammy, our out-of-town guest, had the chicken cordon bleu and loved it. thank you and keep up the good work. Would be great to have a green side like asparagus or something like that.

Great food and service. One of the heavy set men in the kitchen area needs to learn to not sneeze on food that’s going out. Very unhealthy and a great way to contaminate the food.

Nico is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service is impeccable. Our waitress was so patient and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

We always love Nico but last night was spectacular and we had the best time ever. Andi was such a wonderful server, everything was perfectly timed and the food was amazing--oysters, escargot, flounder, sea bass, peach tatin and more. Kayleigh moved us from outside to inner dining room with a smile and no problems whatsoever. We love our dinners at Nico! I don't live in SC anymore, but I come back often and try never to miss an evening at Nico.

We like to sit at the bar. We converse with the bartender and learn a lot about the area and the restaurant. Caitlin was our bartender and she was very attentive, knowledgeable and kind. We started out with raw oysters that were very clean and smooth. We then had the Lyonnaise salad. Again, very clean and had a wonderful dressing. for entrée, we had the whole fish snapper, and it was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We went to Nico‘s because we had gone to his other two restaurants in Summerville, the Kersey house and Laura’s. The selection of food is quite unique and we have never been disappointed.

It was a wonderful, fresh and delicious seafood lunch with outstanding hand-crafted cocktails. Truly an amazing cute little spot right by the water with great staff and superb food. We look forward to our next visit.
