Our food was served 10 minutes before the start of our show therefore we had to rush to eat and still missed the first 20 minutes of the performance. I would have understood if the restaurant was super busy, but it wasn’t. We order with plenty of time for the kitchen to prepare our food.
I ordered the filet mignon but the size of it was tiny, 4 oz or less, they should advertise it in their menu as a petite filet in order not to disappoint.
Food was very good. Only complaint was that my soup wasn’t very hot and my filet mignon was medium instead of medium rare as I had requested. Staff was very attentive and friendly.
It has been a few years since the last time I went. Dinner was excellent, before a concert. Cocktails done very well. Wait staff excellent, always checking and taking care of us. A real jewel of a place.
Food is good, but not that creative. My lobster mac and cheese had the same topping as my fish entree.
Always pleasant before a concert, though.
My friend and I enjoyed a nice reasonably priced lunch after attending a NJ Symphony rehearsal. I am a tea drinker and especially appreciated that the tea was properly brewed and served in a pot with lemon and honey as requested. That so rarely happens these days.
Our waitress was the best but she could not overcome a kitchen that could not produce an appetizer or entree in any time that made sense. This was frustrating because Nico is attached to NJ PAC and the primary reason to dine at Nico is for the convenience of a good meal before an event.
My wife's pea soup (special of the day) was inedible - she returned it. The caesar salad was good. My Cuban Sandwich was served to me in a takeout container as we were leaving the restaurant so we could get in our seats in time. It was just an OK sandwich.
The restaurant manager comped our entire meal because of how awful the service was but even with that, I doubt I will ever return
Everything was delicious, so convenient to njpac, wouldn't change a thing!
We ate at Nicos before attending a concert. Our waitress was a lovely, friendly women. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert. The food was all very good and the service was excellent. Don’t forget to have the Chocolate Dome for dessert. It is to die for!
Bread was stale. Fish wasn't cooked through, but it was good in spite of that. Lobster mac and cheese was delicious as was the dessert. Servers were attentive but they didn't manage to bring the right food to the individual tables. People next to us waited an hour for their food. Our table was in the aisle so as the servers passed, they would occasionally brush against us. We go there for convenience when we're attending a performance. Otherwise, we wouldn't.
good food, good service, great for pre-performance dining. starters were ok, entrees and deserts were tasty.
Had a very good time
Acceptable but uninspiring food. Decent salmon, excessively sweet fried Brussel sprouts
The perfect place to eat if you're going to NJPAC--location, location, location!
Food is very good. Service is outstanding. Our server this time was Jasmine and last time was Aldana (?). Both were amazing young women; attentive, knowledgeable, interested in our well being.
Nico's was a great find! Service was good (Pamela did a great job!). We came in to see Bon Jovi and had a very pleasant dinner prior to the show. Prefixe menu was great and portions were just right. We all tried something different and everyone was very pleased! Would definitely recommend Nico's!
The food was well-prepared. The menu consisted of a pre-performance menu yet still had a good number of options. The pricing was simplistic because the appetizer and dessert were included in the price. The wine menu contained a good variety to choose from. The servers were excellent the food was delicious and the wait was very short. I will back several more times this year for sure.
Great place for pre-show
We were attending g a show
A great place to have a relaxing dinner before a show at the PrU Center. Was never rushed, , relaxing and good food. I would go here again before any show. Service was great!
We started with white asparagus soup that tasted like water with “strings “ in it. There were possibly three little croutons on the top. My husband actually returned the soup and told them he couldn’t eat it - something highly unusual for him. Both of us ordered the salmon done medium- it was raw in the center. The best was dessert. We would not recommend this restaurant at all. What a shame!!
Great food and service... our server Jasmine was a sweetheart and very accommodating.. wine list has something for everyone..
Attended a show at NJPAC- restaurant is convenient- show menu - good choices. Salad, entree and dessert. Small portions. Cessars salad was very good/ tangy dressing. Salmon was good but not very large and I was disappointed with the veggies that came with the entree- undercooked- god flavor but the Brussels sprouts were too hard I couldn’t eat them. Cauliflower was good but there were only two pieces. Chocolate desert was delicious!
The service was awesome! Overall worth it for the convenience and service.
Wonder why I was not recommended this restaurant before. Cool vibe, friendly service. Food was exceptional.
Made a reservation here prior to a show expecting the worst but willing to take my chances for the convenience of being at the venue. What a happy surprise ! Food was really good and service was great. I will definitely be back.
The restaurant is very nice. Our server was excellent! The food was good but they need to put more options on the menu especially some pasta dishes. The staff was great!
Great to attend esp. if you have reservations at a NJPAC event
Entre was dry and over cooked could couldn’t even eat it.
Dinner before speaker at NJPAC.
The fixed price menu of $44 per person plus tax and tip, got us appetizer (onion soup), entree (cauliflower ticka masala) and dessert (pear tart). The cauliflower was disappointing. Expected spice, but it was as bland.
It is as convenient, but that’s about all it had going for it.
food and service was good, but i would not recommend it because of poor menu choice and very expensive. i wanted to try it for a long time because i go to NJPAC pretty often and was very disappointed. this is one and done for me.
The food and service were excellent! Pre-performance menu was terrific!
Excellent service and food highly recommend when seeing a show.
Such a terrific way to end a busy week! Had dinner here before Seth Rudetsky's show at NJPAC's Victoria Theater. Delicious food, great space, and such great service. Not the usual "rush" feeling of a pre-theater meal.
Food was very good. Their special performance menu had enough choices. The service was excellent. We were 2 parties of 6 people and all enjoyed dinner
Great meal, our server was polite and took care of everything. No one had to ask . I highly recommend the Brussel Sprouts and Avocado Toast.
Lunch menu selection was bad. Few alternatives. Warm food was cold. Go someplace else if you can.
Best Cuban sandwich in Newark. Great spot for business meeting, plenty of room and natural light.
Food was excellent, service was a little slow. Missed a few minutes of the show due to a delay with dessert and the check. Will definitely come back, we'll just make earlier reservations.
Caution. Different menus are offered on different days with no warning on the Open Table website. Planned on having $16 fish tacos, but instead was only offered a $40 pre fix menu.
Food was good service was nice. We really like the hostess and our servers.
Our server Jasmine J was amazing!! She was very attentive and made sure we were fully satisfied! I would come back because of her.
