Nico Heirloom Kitchen
Seated immediately upon arrival. They were out of the wine we selected, but we got a more expensive wine for the price of the wine we had selected. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it was delicious. Our entrees were the wood fired salmon and the risotto with shrimp respectively. Both entrees were outstanding. Our server was very professional. He explained the menu, was attentive, but not intrusive. We would enjoy having him again. A memorable dining experience. We will be back!
Went here on a date night with my boyfriend. The hostess was confused and we waited even though we had a reservation, she seemed new. The server was quiet and not too attentive. Looked like she was trying to go home and not let us enjoy our date.
Seated promptly, perfect temperature for outdoor dining. Selected Tempranillo which did not taste great, gladly replaced with Super Tuscan that was perfect. We tried several apps, burrata was great, octopus was amazing. Leave room for chocolate cake. Very nice date night.
Food was delicious and the server was very nice and knowledge.
This place will exceed your expectations. Gilbert has nothing like this. If you appreciate culinary as an art you will appreciate the well thought out menu and environment.
Everything is great but it is not outstanding. Service could be a little more personable. The food could have a little more flavor, had to salt almost all the dishes, and the space they use is small so tables are very close together.
Nice spot for a date night! Good drinks!
Service was amazing! Recommendations from the few servers we interacted with were amazing! Get the toffee cake dessert!
We have been dining here for the past couple of years and enjoy the overall dinner experience. Great atmosphere, delicious food, wine and top notch and friendly service.
Up until recently my wife and I have never had a problem with our food. However on the 14th My wife's steak was under cook and enter was cold.
Our waitress was right on it and handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, the cook/chef sent back a new steak that was still a bit under cook and cold. My wife ate part of the steak that was cooked warm and to her specifications. Our waitress was awesome, she was friendly, and attentive.
We will continue to dine here because overall the food is good, great atmosphere and employees
This was a great place to enjoy Valentine's day.
The food was great. The bread/focaccia was a real disappointment compared to the food. Recommend benchmarking “Noble Bread.”
All I can say is: Oh my God.
The food was incredible. There was a special (I think condensed) menu for Valentine’s Day. We shared the burrata and octopus to start, the 40 ounce tomahawk steak for our entree, and the butterscotch budino and espresso for dessert. The appetizers were great, the octopus was cooked perfectly. Still tender without turning rubbery, and the burrata was tasty, if slightly over salted. We thought the tomahawk steak was the star of the show. We ordered ours medium rare, leaning rare (because of its shape the thicker portions would’ve been slightly under medium rare) and it was pure perfection. Melt in your mouth steak, a simple but delicious side salad. And we ordered a side of Brussels sprouts to go with it. To be honest we didn’t need them as we were so full at the end, but they were still wonderful. Like the burrata they were slightly over seasoned, but I’d rather over seasoning than under.
The budino was the real star of the show though. We each put a small spoonful in our espresso to sweeten it up a little, but that dessert is heaven in a jar.
Our server was attentive and very nice. We wanted for nothing. If we might have needed anything he was right there, anticipating our needs and returning in a timely manner. For a special occasion dinner of three four dishes, my partners two glasses of wine, our two espressos and tip we paid $275, so honestly a great value. I’m sure if we dined on a more casual evening we would spend nearly as much, but for Valentine’s Day we actually come in under our expected budget. Will definitely be returning, and recommending Nico to our friends and family.
I don’t recommend Nico Heirloom to friends because they don’t have a choice...Nico is where I take my friends as this is the best restaurant in the South Valley. The ambience and quality of the food is as good or better than anything you’d find in Phoenix/Scottsdale.
The food was just okay. The sweet potato puree was fantastic but everything else was par.
Great meal in a nice setting!!
Too many things were served wrong, although Grace, our server, was excellent. The kitchen and bar drinks were a problem tonight.
Great service, great food
Great evening celebrating a birthday with 12 of our friends and family! Cocktails, appetizers, entrées did not disappoint! Nico Heirloom Kitchen staff is second to none! All the staff members came to our table to see if we were happy with our selections; bartender, chef, manager and of course our very attentive servers! Highly recommend for a great evening!
Under cooked spaghetti, cold chicken with the risotto.
Food and service is excellent, but very noisy inside. For the meal type and price, I’d rather have a quieter atmosphere where we could converse without yelling. My throat hurt after. Maybe they can add some sort of sound barriers?
Dining has always been wonderful and Nico!
Visiting for Open. Atilla here was nice and staff was froendy,
Uncrowded at lunch. Nice menu. Careful attentive preparation.
Great food, great service, highly recommended! Will be back
Our server was amazing! Very attentive and helpful with menu selections! We love Nicos but not a fan of the menu changes at all, they took off all my favorite items. My husband enjoyed his Salmon but I really miss the shrimp scampi and the grasshopper dessert. The meal I ended up having wasn’t very good, but since we have always liked Nicos I’ll give it another try, but not sure with the new menu . Please bring some of the old favorites back!
Food and service were great. I had the short rib and I thought the portion was small.
The ambiance was great and the service was good. The food was cold, so that was a disappointment.
We enjoyed some excellent appetizers along with great entrées! Our waiter was very attentive along with a great personality. Half price for a bottle of wine during happy hour was absolutely wonderful.
Loved this place food was amazing, just the right portions. The ambiance and atheistic is wonderful, I fell in love! Menu options were good, not overwhelming. Definitely recommend for date night.
Everything was amazing!
Nico's food is always very good, fresh, hot and the portions provide a great value. Only thing is that it is difficult to have a conversation due to the drone of everyone talking. Also ask for the bread. It is delicious but not automatically offered. Our server circled around often so we didn't have to ask for anything (except the bread)! There were 4 of us and we all ordered pastas. Each one out did the other and everyone was more than satisfied.
Awesome experience, great food and amazing service!
Appetizers are overpriced. Had the artichoke frite. It was good, but not $14 worth of good.
Always good and consistent. Great Bar/drinks and nice menu. Server Penny is the best!
Went for brunch. Food was slow coming from kitchen and when we got it, most of the dishes were luke warm at best. Will not be returning for brunch again.
Short ribs were juicy and tender, simply amazing. Butternut squash and pasta dish was extremely rich, never tasted the pesto sauce that it supposedly had.
Great food as usual. Easily the best restaurant in Gilbert.
Shilo is awesome. Great service!
Duck was not as good as expected. Food was also brought out too fast.
Visited the first time for brunch and we were very disappointed with the food. Our coffee was served like warm so they brewed another pot for us. Then my eggs Benedict was served with several large shells so they remade it. By the time I received my dish my friends had finished eating. They ordered traditional breakfast. Both received bacon barely cooked so they didn’t eat it. One friend had to ask for new toast since what was served to her was totally burnt and blackened toast. Our server was very nice and apologetic. When the bill arrived we asked to speak with the manger, who also apologized and comped our meal. I had higher expectations for this place. Maybe dinner is better....
