Their Brussel sprouts are terrific!
Always good food and good service, great service last night with Sydney. Really like Nick's - a go to for a nice evening!
Love this restaraunt - great seating indoor & outdoor. Went for salads with a client - delicious and the perfect size. Great date night restaurant as well.
It’s expensive but great food. Went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Nice outdoor table and great service!!
Very good salads. Large enough for a meal. Love the add-ons which makes the salads more filling. I had the ahi appetizer which was excellent and I highly recommend. Great atmosphere and really good service. Highly recommend!
Everything we had was amazing.... Whatever you do... When youR meal is complete and you feel satisfied... There is another level you can go to... When I say trust me I really mean it.... Make sure you try the Butter Cake.. It is an EXPERIENCE!!!
Great food, drink, and atmosphere
The food was very good , especially for a Valentines day. Service was very good, even though the restaurant was very busy.
Great food and great service!
Was so wonderful!
We got seated right away at the area we requested. Food, service, and ambiance were wonderful!
The food was amazing and our waitress was too!! We will definitely go back!!
Nick's is always a great choice. Never had a bad meal here and the butter cake is incredible!
excellent food. fancy french butter. individual sealed syrups in glass jars. Very nice. all the staff were attentive, friendly, and had smiles on their faces. Beautifully presented food. Delicious. Carrot muffins were THE BOMB! Homemade salsa, ketchup, and jam. yum.
Love this place we always come here to celebrate or for date night. The butter cake is so good. It’s a must try.
Nick’s is my favorite restaurant and I made my reservation a week in advance for my birthday just so I could guarantee getting in. Had a lot of food leftover and asked for my butter cake to go. Got home and the butter cake was not in the bag! I was so disappointed
Me and my wife go here occasionally. Always good food and service. This is on our list of go to places when we have a special occasion or guest from out of town.
Nick's has the best food in LB, everything on the menu is tasty & I should know I've tasted it all! I recommend it all the time. Nick's is the place where I go with my out-of-town company, my BFF's for celebrations or just let's get together & catch-up times, my husband when we want to eat out, & once a month with my book club.
If you haven't gone yet, make it the next restaurant on your list, you won't regret it!
Our food was delicious and service was excellent
Love the food!
I got the fired chicken which I have liked in the past. However this is the second time I have gotten it and the chicken has been dry. I think they are pounding the chicken too thin and cooking it too long. The waitress took it back but I do not think she really took my critique to heart. The recooked chicken was a bit better but still not juicy and succulent. I probably won't order this again.
Great weather to sit outside where it’s quieter Good food!
Great food, great service and a great place as always!
Always a pleasure to eat at Nick’s. My husband and I always comment on how outstanding the service is, very friendly and welcoming as well as efficient. Love going there!
Great food and service (thank you, Francis), very accommodating to my friend's allergies, and they brought her a birthday card signed by all the servers. It was awesome!
Cioppino is a MUST! The tuna tartare is a delicious opening appetizer. There were other savory menu options but I heard rave reviews of the Cioppino that I had to have it and it didn’t disappoint. The service was amazing, my mango tea nor water was always filled to the top, and was offered a blanket if it was too cold in the patio.
We went to Nick's on 2nd for a birthday dinner, and it was a great choice for a celebration. The food was excellent. The beverage choices were also excellent - both great wines and beers. The service was also excellent. You definitely need to get reservations. We tried several times to just drop in, but the wait times were 45 minutes or longer.
great service my daughters b-day all the waiters signed a card which was so kind and the food is always amazing
We have been to Nick’s on Second before. However, we never had an experience like last night. We had an open table reservation for 6:00 p.m. by 6:20 they told us at least 3-4 times that “our table “ wasn’t ready because the customers had already paid their tab but were “just sitting there”. By 6:30 I was asking the staff about our table and said it really didn’t matter if “our table” was ready or not, we had a reservation for 6:00p.m. So then we were told they had overbooked 6:00p.m. And were “behind” even though we saw them seating several other parties of two. Finally,at 6:35, they seated us in there outdoor area which has plastic for walls to the outside, with heat lamps, not desirable on a chilly January eve. I complained. They asked if we’d like a table inside which of course we did. So we again waited while they found a table inside. By now it’s 45 minutes after our reservation time. They did provide 2 appetizers on the house which was gracious but not worth the aggravation for sure!
We dined on the side patio where folks at the next table were very loud, disturbing our anniversary dinner. We both had the cioppino which was excellent.
You can count on Nick’s on 2nd Street to never disappoint. The food and service were stellar. Both Nick’s and South of Nick’s are consistent for a memorable evening.
My friend and I love Nick s and enjoyed our lunch. We appreciated our server and will return.
Nice evening. Food was good, but wish they had a grilled chicken breast dish. Fun atmosphere, but a bit too loud, difficult to converse without considerably raising voice.
Our waiter, Jacob, was great. He knew the food and was very attentive. Love the food! Always a treat to take out clients there for lunch.
Staff were WONDERFUL!!!!!
We overall had a great experience and have never eaten here for breakfast. We have had dinner, appetizers, drinks and the infamous butter cake many times. Everyone loved their breakfast except for me. I ordered the breakfast burrito and added chorizo. It seriously was the most bland breakfast burrito I have ever eaten. I couldn’t taste the potatoes or anything in it. It was like an egg mush. I ate about 1/4 of it and I ate everyone else’s left overs because I was hungry.
I brought it home and I could only finish it by smothering it with sour cream and hot sauce from my fridge. Either get rid of it on your menu or make it more chunky and flavorful. So disappointed it was fricking 18 dollars!! What a joke. I can go to Umberto’s and pay 5 bucks for a quality, authentic breakfast burrito. Come on Nick’s you can do way better.
Absolutely delicious I've always had a perfect meal... one of my favorite places in Long Beach
We went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Our first time at Nick’s. The food and drinks were good, service was good and we were taken to our table on time. The food is a bit pricey, didn’t care much for the grilled artichokes, had a hard time eating it while talking and for the price it wasn’t much to eat. Other than that the food was good, the spicy Thai salad was amazing, the asparagus fries were really good. The butter cake was to die for. Overall good experience. Would appreciate more vegetarian options.
Great breakfast and great price! Love the atmosphere and staff
Great Service & Great Food!
