We made a reservation for 6 at 6:30 on Father’s Day, June 16. This is the second time we made a reservation for Nicks on Open Table and they did not have it when we arrived.
Food was excellent but service was VERY slow!
Pizza was very fresh, perhaps a bit underdone. Disco music didn't help the ambiance. Sent back dessert, since the tiramisu was missing the main ingredient.
Bad bad service
We were never asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered two bottles of wine and only one came out waiter seemed on drugs
Manager was MIA
We got food with no SILverware never got to order a main course
If waiter was better we would have ordered three times the food
The menu s were still on the table at the end of the meal
Two hours and we did not order a main course
Amazing, amazing, amazing, as always!
Amazing, amazing, and did I happen to mention amazing! As always!
Use to be better, it’s passable for quick meal
Good food. Good service. People sit at the outside bar and eat, drink, and blow their cigar smoke inside. Not good.
Our server was amazing.
I like Nick's, but the cigarette smoke and smell from the bar area sticks up the whole restaurant. I won't be returning until there is a smoking ban. Too bad because their pizza is good.
Probably my 10-12th time at Nicks. This was a problem visit. Slow service. One poor women caring for most of the dining room. And not at a rapid pace. Food not hot. Eggplant parm burnt on the bottom and tasted it. Side pastas just blah. Why serve flavorful entrees with side pastas that are forgettable at best? And to finish requested left overs in a box. Each different entree and pasta was poured into one box on top of one another. Ba-Dump. Let the reciord show that service has been a frequent issue at nicks. Lack of training, attitude, chronic looking at the floor.
Poor dinner choice. Wouldn’t return
I used to love Nick's but recently our food was very salty. 4 people and 4 salty dishes. We told the waitress. No manager came to the table. We are not ones to complain but will not go back.
Food was excellent but waitress was a
The best grilled calamari salad ever! The chef honored my request for shrimp parmigiana. Very accommodating. Our server, Kristen, was amazing!
loved the stuffed artichokes!!!
salad and pizza great
We were a large party and they put us in the pathway of all the servers and the servers were getting upset at us because we were up and down with kids and talking to family at the other end of the table.
The food is good. The problems are the cigarette smoke and the noise level in the restaurant.
They have an area that opens up to the outside near the bar seating. There are few places to smoke and eat in Boca. This attracts many smokers and the smoke blows into the restaurant. Making it worse is the proximity to a cigar lounge. It really is a major distraction. In fact, I have spoken informally with the owner. I understand he wants to close the smoking area but the City zoners are giving him grief. It is so bad that I hear they are considering a re-model.
Not as bad as the smoke is the level of the noise in the restaurant. I would not label it as 'energetic'. It is simply loud.
Love the place but a little too noisy! Service was outstanding. Did not like that they put Parmesan cheese on the broccoli rabe- that does not match never heard of it- should leave that up to the consumer to add on their own if they want too. Also we asked for well done on a couple of the pizzas and one came out literally UNDERCOOKED- also, one order was cooked wrong, not servers error kitchen error. But all in all was a positive experience- we had a party of 8 people.
We were frankly disappointed. It was EXTREMELY COLD in the restaurant and other diners were also complaining. Our food was cold - possibly because of the temperature in the room. We won't be eating there again unless it is to dine on the patio.
Love it there, we are regulars.
Went on a Saturday night for a family celebration. Our waiter was Ryan. He helped in making the evening special. Great food and service. Drinks are kind of expensive, but what else is new.
Nick's NH Style is the BEST pizza you'll have in South Florida!...It's based on a couple of famous pizzaia's in New Haven, CT near where I grew up but Nick's I think is even better...they don't char the pizza as much as the original and I feel it makes it better...but that's my opinion...also their full menu and bar is definitely worth the trip to either the Boca location or the Coral Springs one..I've eaten at both...you'll love it!
You go to a restaurant known for its clam pizza and they tell you they ran out of clams for the pizza...
Who is the manager? How can you not be able to make your signature dish? So so disappointing
Loved Loved the stuffed artichoke. A real treat. The pasta was great and the chocolate cheesecake a must.
The White Clam, Bacon and Garlic (Clam Casino) pie was totally awesome! Highly recommend it!!!
Always like Nicks. Tonight the food service was not good. Main courses came out before appetizers and salad. Server and manager handled it very well and discounted bill.
Everything as always was great!
The waiter Mike, gave us the feeling we were bothering him. He would walk away when we were talk to him, didn’t write down a 2 person order and forgot, brought me hot marinara sauce 10 minutes before the dish arrived...when I asked him for another small cup he seemed perturbed. If you’re going to be a waiter in the service industry, smile and be friendly or try something else. We eat out all the time and this is the first time I’ve had to write this😢
Very disappointed in our pizzas. Definitely not New Haven style pizza. I grew up in New Haven so I know what pizza should taste like. This was not like Pepe’s or Sally’s or Modern Pizza in New Haven. The sausage was just big clumps thrown on top of pizza and the bacon was 5 slices on top of each other and only the top slice was cooked!! Never saw a New Haven style bacon pizza served like this. The crust was thick and doughy which is not New Haven style. I will not be returning. Very poor quality pizza. Take the name New Haven our of the name of the restaurant
Our table was ready for us at 7 pm. The service was very bad. Our Pizzas were left on a stand ready to be served to us but when they eventually were served to us, were cold. Pizzas were put back into the oven and then arrived at our table very hot and very burnt. definitely wont go back to Nicks again.
Food is always superb. Service was great. Christin was outstanding
Good Pizza if the oven is working. Pasta was good. Clams were cold. Service is very average. Place can use a paint job.
Excellent service. Tried risotto balls for first time and they are divine.
It was birthday party for our grandchildren and birthday for our son todd
One of our party of four didn't get his dinner until the rest of us were almost finished. No apology given. Just "a mix up in the kitchen." Not acceptable.
Eggplant parm too mushy
The service was very inattentive. Food was not hot.
Great food. Good service.
Excellent food and great sauces
Good food. Pizza. Was a little to well done
