   Good place for good German food. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel which was tasty. We also had a pretzel which was delicious. My red wine Pinot Noir was good. The service was excellent. The owner, Nick asked us how our meal was. He was very gracious.

   Second time dining at Nick’s and it was just as great as the first! Service is incredible and love the ambiance. The appetizers were amazing, however, I didn’t love my chicken due to the cheese tasting like queso but I don’t hold that against them as there are so many other amazing dishes. For the outside diners, they provided them with blankets which was super cute and European.

    Both the dinner and the service was amazing! We sat outside (January) and they had a heater for our table and cozy blankets if we got cold. We'll be back!

    Food was great, portion size didn’t make sense. It was very overpriced for what you got. Fantastic German beer selection and great cocktails. 1 app, 2 beers and a cocktail and and 2 entrees was $148, and we left hungry.

    Excellent food and service! We started with a pretzel and then I had Jagerschnitzel and Spätzle and my husband had the rouladen. Fun evening as Ed was able to use his Herman with our German server, Sabrina! She was fantastic!

    Nick’s German Kitchen is the closest one can get to a charming cafe in Europe without traveling out of the Lowcountry. All entrees and side dishes are authentic German fare and are delicious. We especially love the schnitzel choices and Nick’s has weekly discounts on this dish. The specials are also outstanding. Service is brisk but friendly and professional.

    Really object to 4% charge for using credit card. This is a cost of doing business and anyway is not as high as 4%! Will reconsider coming here again.

That's why you are welcome to pay cash and save the convenience fee. Actually we pay much more than 4% in credit card fees because the total amount processed each evening includes not only our sales but also the servers tips as well as the regular sales tax and also Mount Pleasant hospitality tax. It adds up! Remember: you can pay cash and save the convenience fee. Thanks for understanding!

    Not only is the food amazing and authentic, it is obvious that much love and care goes into every aspect of the dining experience. Nick runs his business as if he is serving his family. We love everything about this restaurant.

    The meal was absolutely fantastic, everything we ordered was the best version we have ever had. My mother and I are both German, and if eaten this food before, this is a modern, but not strange version of mini German dishes you can find in any German restaurant. Everything was perfectly prepared. The staff was super nice end of German dissent, the desserts were fantastic as well. I am only in Charleston for two weeks this time but I will definitely try to get another meal there before I leave.

    Authentic German style food. Everytime we go, we feel welcome the minute you walk in the door. The food is fresh and perfectly seasoned. They have a great list of wines and beer. My husband and I have never been disappointed here.

    Easily one of the best restaurants in the Charleston-Mt. Pleasant area. Excellent food, service and hospitality. It's one of the few resturants in the world in which I have no complaints. And I am usually one grumpy old man. If I had one issue with Nick, it would be with the intimate seating sitting so close to other diners. Outside dining has helped.

    The pork chop was very large & superbly broiled + seasoned. The red cabbage was outstanding & very authentic - - which is very important to me. The Pilsner beer was soooo good I had two - - though the imported bottle is fairly small. All around great meal. I was soooo happy 🥳
