Great German cuisine. Nice chance from the usual. Definitely recommend.
The cuisine was fabulous and had beautiful presentations.
Food is simply delicious. There are no other options for German food in the Charleston area and they do it very very well. I love this place and will continue to come back!
Wonderful service, wonderful food! So good to have a new, great restaurant in Mt. Pleasant. This was an exceptional dinner from the pretzel, to the schnitzel, salad, bratwurst and dessert. It’s jumped into my top restaurants in Mt. P, one of only 4 or 5 I love! Try it today!
The best German restaurant and food I have ever eaten in the states. Certainly, suited this 75percent German. Will definitely be back!!
The food was delicious….a very European feel. Ambiance was lovely and the service was perfect. Highly recommend.
Don't miss this newly opened place, it's fantastic!!
Plum cake was awful…
The food was great and very tasty. Service was good but not intrusive. Love the décor and ambience, will definitely be back
We chose to sit outside. Food was outstanding authentic German! We had the Black Forest Schnitzel and the Chicken Spatzel. The dessert of Chocolate soufflé was light, fluffy, not too sweet, and delicious!!
So great to have a German focused restaurant. We had a great time and everyone in our group of 6 enjoyed everything. The apple strudel and ice cream was a perfect ending. Everything was made in house - pretzel, spaetzle, ice cream, and pastries.
The service was friendly, and conversational.
We are looking forward to a return visit.
We’ve dined here several times, all outside on the patio, and all of our experiences were consistently well above average. The delicious cuisine and the personable staff make the evening special. The potato pancakes are a tasty appetizer, and how fortunate we are to be able to enjoy expertly made schnitzel and spaetzle. It’s a favorite spot for us.
What can I say about the German menu but lecker! Cannot wait to try the new items on the menu along with the specials. Nick and Kelly have done a great job with the new food and our favorite restaurant in Charleston area! Will be our go to place for out of town visitors.
Fabulous surprise, lighter food than usual German. Waiter David was extraordinary. !
This is one of the best restaurants in Mount Pleasant. The food is unbelievably good and the service outstanding.
Great wine selection, able to have a good conversation, staff was very pleasant and inviting and the food is authentic and delicious!
I love the new menu! Everyone is so nice and professional. We split our bill 3 ways and our server had no issues with like most restaurants do. The food was amazing as always and trust me- get the dessert!!
Nicks is a welcome addition to Mount Pleasant. If you have had Wiener schnitzel in the past or never had the opportunity to try the "real thing" you going to enjoy the menu! They also have great german beers that you can't normally get. Eat, drink and be happy !
Loved everything about it. Wine, food, service. Outstanding!
Finally a great place to eat in Mount Pleasant that doesn’t pander to the out of towners. Best meal I’ve had in Mount Pleasant.
Our party of 4 had a lovely evening . The food was delicious. Three in our party ordered from the special menu with appetizer, all were unique and very good German dishes. One of our party ordered from the menu which was also outstanding. The only disappointment being Chef Nick sold out of our 2 chosen dessert items. Maybe next time we'll put in our dessert order first! We have friends coming in next week from Columbia who love German food so guess we'll be back.
The food was outstanding and the service was excellent.
Celebrated a birthday last night at Nick's. Was so happy to find a German restaurant in the Charleston area!! I had the Black Forest Schnitzel, my husband had the Jagerschnitzel and our son had the Wiener Schnitzel. All were absolutely delicious! Sabrina was our waitress and she was very attentive. Although this venue is rather small and it got crowded quickly, we were never rushed. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly. A very positive and delicious experience! Thank you to all at Nick's!
Great restaurant. Very friendly staff. Really liked the food, but wish there were more authentic German dishes and desserts.
We had never been to Mezzo, but when we saw they were reopening as Nick's German Kitchen, we immediately made a reservation. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was wonderful. My husband just came home from a work trip to Germany and he said it was the most authentic German food he's eaten since he's been back home. We loved it and will be back again!
Clean, friendly, great service...not rushed, food excellent!!!
This restaurant was recommended by friends. They were out of two of the menu items we ordered. Waiter dribbled wine all over the table, into the water glasses and onto the bread plates. Food was ok. We split the check on two cards but I was charged for the whole check and half again. When I called the restaurant Kelly, who told me she was the owner told me that she couldn’t help that the server made a mistake. She was aware of the mistake but no one bothered to tell me about it. She was very argumentative. They are turning the restaurant into a German restaurant next week with a new name. The waiter said it’s because the menu is too expensive to make as Mezzo and they can’t get anyone to work. First and last time for me.
We love the cozy atmosphere. We understand they will be changing the name and doing some renovations. Love the menu and nice peopl
The meal was ok, salmon was a little undercooked the rice was excellent. My friend hat the veal in bone and was disappointed. We shared an Appfelstrudel , which was mediocre, too many bread crumbs and the spice mixture was off. I know this might sound harsh since I am comparing it to the one I had at Kaffee Sacher in Innsbruck. We appreciated the quiet outside seating.
Great potato pancakes!
I had read many great reviews about Mezzo and was excited to have dinner there with my spouse. The restaurant is beautiful with white tablecloths, flowers, and very clean. I appreciate the attention to detail. The starter salad was good, but the main dish, wiener schnitzel with potatoes, was small. We were still a bit hungry even after dessert. We found it a bit pricey as well, over $200. When I was seated at the table waiting to order, I looked up and the chef was peering at me from around the entrance of the kitchen. It was really unnerving and just odd.
Great food; my wife and daughter both raves about the salmon and my pork medallions were great. Great food. Thank you!
Another outstanding meal. The food was amazing and the service was efficient and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Mezzo is truly one of the best restaurants in all of Charleston. The owners take great pride
We had a nice table outside (COVID) service was a bit slow, but we enjoyed each others company. Food was very good, glad to find a place where the portions are a normal size. Very European, very nice.
Amazing food as usualb
Typically leave good reviews but this was not a good night at Mezzo. It is a small space, not quaint but just tiny. Kind of a galley feel. Veal porterhouse was decent. Bread was average, and that is disappointing with pasta. Next time I will head downtown, too many great ones to choose from
Always a lovely evening at Mezzo! The meal and staff are awesome! Great service, and excellent food served with love!!!
