Felt completely rushed. Staff hovered- if you put your fork down they were ready to take your plate regardless of whether or not we were done. Brought check without asking if we wanted dessert.
Food was ok. Server was nice but not super attentive.
Steak was served warm...not hot. Service was excellent
Porterhouse for 3 had grizzle/nerve on every slice. Sides were on the small side. Overall not worth the price !
We were seated at 620 for a 530 reservation. Once finally seated, food was very good
Food and service was excellent. Noise level was very high. Great place to eat before a Garden event.
The restaurant is very nice, the service was excellent. My boyfriend and I shared the bacon which was delicious. We also shared the porterhouse for 2 which was a little too fatty for my taste.
have already recommend this restaurant to several people. The food was excellent!
Wonderful experience. My guests always have a terrific dinner. Very convenient for Garden events. Excellent food cooked to perfection and served promptly.
New Years Eve! Phish at the Garden 👍🏻
Prices were pretty high for yhe amount of food we received. On the bright side, service was great and food was excellent.
Excellent steakhouse, located next to Penn Station. There was a Phish concert going on so the noise level was high. We missed the "Price Fix", which was 59 bucks a person after 8pm. I suggest you do that if possible since our meal for three steaks, three drinks, two salads, mashed potatoes and fries was almost 400.00 That's a little high but I won't lie, the steaks were perfection!
It is so over priced a well drink was $14, Truffle fries $12 the bill was crazy for what we ordered. On top of that the food was just ok. It’s location (under MSG) seems to lend itself to ridiculous dining. I would look elsewhere.
Food taste fair. Caesar salad tasteless, rack of lamb featured menu item not available. Mixed salad not the freshest. Apple cobbler undercooked. Service was friendly. Drinks & wine were very expensive
Steaks were over done. Asked for medium rare and they came a firm medium. On a tight schedule so could not make an issue and wait for them to be redone.
Delicious food and great service
Surf and turf entree was very good. Service was excellent. Food arrived quickly. Expensive but I will certainly dine there again.
5PM reservation: Our waitress was brief with greeting and failed to offered the specials which the table of men adjacent to us was offered by another waiter. I would have selected the special after hearing it. Our water was refilled one time during the entire meal by my prompting after we sat empty for 10 minutes. When the check was delivered, it was set beside me with no comment of thank you or common courtesy. Very disappointing experience. Will not return.
Nice Christmas meal. We hadn’t made plans so we decided to try out this place after seeing Nick it felt out of place. But this did not diminish the taste of the delicious food. I kept my back to the street, which made me feel somewhere else.
Great service. Super responsive. Value for the dollar. Except for that $17 Bloody Mary...
Cute place, very pricey. My filet was "chewy". Waiter was awesome.
Waiter was very knowledgeable. Lots of choices and beautifully decorated for the holiday. Super accommodating, would recommend.
I enjoy Nick & Stef’s - one of my favorite steakhouses.
Had a great time with my buddy. Good drinks, great food! Cool neighbors!
After a Sunday afternoon hockey game my wife and I made a reservation. The staff was friendly and accommodating as was our server. My wife and I split a chopped salad which the kitchen divided. We made our own surf and turf. We had the sirloin steak bone in medium rare cooked to perfection and sliced as well and the Tuna served black and blue over a portion of spinach. If you like spicy wasabi, wow very tasty. We are not desert eaters however we ordered homemade little donuts in a light cream sauce. It was magnificent. Our server recommended it. Overal. Our dining experience was wonderful especially after the Rangers lost in overtime
One of the best steaks (petite filet I’ve had in a long time. Creamed spinach Vergil’s. Pan fried potatoes we’re lackluster and cold when we complained they were remove from the bill. Great service.
Great spot for a nice steak dinner. They accomodated a same-day reservation through open Table for 6, including a 7-month old! Upbeat at.osphere, nice bar area, excellent service and food was DELICIOUS!!
Great meal & excellent service. Was really pleased with the timing and attention to detail!
Tables too close together. Can here other conversations loud and clear.
Best restaurant in the vicinity of Madison Square Garden. Terrific for dinner before or after an event at MSG.
It’s was well!! Good food!!
Overall, overpriced, overcrowded, and overrated. This places squeezes folks particularly for pre-MSG shows so seating is very tight. Servicer is ok but servers seem stretched. Food, definitely had better steaks elsewhere for a lot less. Handy for a pre-show meal but expect to overpay, be squeezed in and get mediocre food and service. Too bad.
Food and ambiance was excellent . Went there prior to a concert at MSG . Perfect! It was crowded but had a nice table by the window. Definitely would recommend for any occasion.
My steak was dead and tasteless. Grisly for a filet mignonette, the tuna steak, rare was not seasoned and was bland.
Not worth the money, reservations? Delayed and couldn’t keep up. Three of us sat at a table deigned for two,
Excellent meal - service times to accommodate diners attending events @ MSG. Nice wine list - enjoyed celebrating special occasion w/recognition from staff as well!
This was a birthday dinner for my wife. We had 6 PM reservations and the show was at 7:30. The restaurant is actually in the same building as Madison Square Garden so the timing was perfect. My wife and I arrived at 5:45 PM and checked in. They said the table was ready but we had to wait for the other couple to arrive. Our friends arrived two minutes before 6 PM. I told the hostess we were ready to be seated and she said it would be a few minutes. I asked why because I knew we had the table ready less than 15 minutes ago. And she said it only be about five minutes so don’t worry. I found that odd. By 610 pm we still were not seated so I asked again. She seemed flustered and I asked her directly if she gave away the table. And she said she had. I asked why and she oddly replied that it was “their policy”.
A maître d’ came over a couple minutes later and was very snarky and disrespectful. He said he gave the table to a party that arrived on time. I said we were on time. I was 15 minutes early and the entire party was here before 6 PM. Het then offered only me, out of a party of four, a complementary glass of wine because we were waiting. I said I don’t want to glass of wine, I want to sit down because we don’t want to rush through dinner. He then walked away and spoke with the other hostess who gave away our table and they both started laughing. I then went over to him and said how incredibly disrespectful and what poor form it was to walk away from a customer that you made an error with and then to laugh about it in front of him with a colleague who made the error. He gave an insincere apology. And walked away. We then sat down at 6:20 PM. We had to order faster than we wanted to and eat faster than we wanted to. There are far better steak places within spitting distance of this place and we will not be going back there ever again. The maître d’ should not be in the service industry.
Venue and atmosphere very good - access from restaurant to Garden excellent. Food just not a wow for the price tag. They are priced right with Del Frisco’s and other high end Steakhouses, but the quality doesn’t deliver.
While our server was very good, my filet was bland and tough (surprising for a filet) My wife's bone in strip was okay but we are used to the quality of Keen's quality. The salad was fine as was our appetizer. For a $200 night we were rather disappointed.
Nick & Stef's never disappoints. Food, service, drinks, always tops!
Solid food - not an elite steakhouse, but quite a bit better than many of the more famous brands of Manhattan steakhouses. For the typically high NYC steak prices they charge, however, they should offer elite service, which they don't.
Popped in here right before the Mumford & Sons concert with a reservation I made on Open Table just minutes before, and despite it being packed we somehow got a prime table (comfy booth for two) and had an excellent meal with great cocktails! Also LOVE that they have a private entrance/elevator into MSG so you feel like a VIP.
