Place was super packed for the Billy Joel Concert. We were concerned about the wait, even though we had a reservation. To accommodate us Sal the Mgr put us at a high top table and waited on us himself to make sure we had our food and that we were out on time. Food was great and service was perfect. So great to see someone at the top fill in to make the customers happy. Will be going back for next NYC event highly recommend.

This was not our first time here. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection as always. What impressed me this time was the courtesy they extended us. We were over 40 minutes late for our reservation because of a LIRR issue which forced our train to be shut down en route. I called and let them know the situation and our table was held. We arrived and were immediately seated. We enjoyed our meal and we made it into the Billy Joel show with at least 30 minutes to spare (Thanks to the VIP entrance thru Nick & Stef's - another preshow perk!!).
Thank you Nick and Stefs!

The restaurant was incredibly loud and busy. We couldn’t hear each other speak. The filet was over cooked and tough.

Had a petite filet that was absolutely terrible. No flavor at all. Could have done better at the Sizzler!

So, as promised, I returned to Nick and Stef's my next foray to the Garden. The first time was a "big" event and I purchased a very expensive (though probably the single best wine value in a NYC Restaurant) so one might expect good treatment on that basis. This time was a different crowd. I was expected to practice restraint on the Wine list. We experienced the same excellent service nonetheless. And we were steered towards some excellent wines at reasonable prices as well. No reason to go anywhere else .

N&S is one of my favorite restaurants and it's in my neighborhood. Food and service are always excellent even though prices are a bit high for the area. I especially love their lobster specials.

Excellent service from our waitress. We chose the restaurant because of proximity to Penn Station. We arrived with a lot of suitcases and the receptionist was extremely helpful, and very friendly to our support doggie. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, brought our drinks right away and made friends with our little doggie in his carrier. The noise level decreased notably after half an hour, and we had a great family reunion.

Very satisfied with the dining experience. The restaurant is expensive but the steak was very good. The waiter was pleasant and helped answer any food questions that we had. The atmosphere was what s high end steak house should feel like. I have a partial season Knicks plan, and I will come again.

Professional service with a smile, first class steak and super martinis. Quiet enough to hear but busy enough for the excitement and sports bar action without the barroom boozies!

DON'T order the bacon slab. It looked like it was baked three days ago...tough and dry. Shame on Nick&Stef for even letting it leave kitchen door. Now if you really want tasty and juicy bacon slabs -- try The Strip House, Old Homestead or Wolfgang.

All else was good.

Very loud and crowded. We were sat in a high traffic area, which I very much disliked. Steak was Ok. I have been there many times. Seems like last few visits the place has gone downhill. I love that is located in MSG...

Went before a ranger game like I have done many times before and was very disappointed!! Ordered a porterhouse Medium rare and it came raw. Both side dishes were ice cold. With so many new restaurants in the area don’t think I’ll be rushing back here 😞

Met up with some old friends and Nick & Stef's was perfect! We had great service: Attentive but not overwhelming. The perfect balance. The food was wonderful and the prices reasonable for a NY steak house. Had a great time and will definitely visit Nick & Stef's the next time I'm in NYC

I tend to have dinner at Nick and Stef’s before a Ranger game at the garden. Very convenient, they have their own back door access to getting into the arena. Servers are always very friendly and knowledgeable. Food never disappoints, chef is always spot on whether we’ve had fish or steak. Portions are perfect and they have good wine selection. Only knock you can give is it’s on the expensive side (probably $100-$150 per plate). But I guess you get what you pay for. Will definitely be back again before the end of the hockey season

First time there since it was converted from Charley-O's. Was pleasantly surprised. Apps and Ribeye was very good. Great place to meet for drinks and/or an early dinner before an MSG event.

We went to Nick & Stef's for dinner before a concert at MSG. Although the restaurant was not busy the hostess put us at a table in a corner which was behind a wall and far removed from the rest of the restaurant. This made it very difficult to get the attention of our waiter who was in the main part of the restaurant. We had to get up and go to the main part of the restaurant each time we wanted the waiter. The waiter was friendly but not attentive. The food was very good. The restaurant initially marked us as a no show for our reservation even though we checked in with the hostess exactly at our reservation time. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine at Nick & Stef's but it is incredibly convenient if you have an event at MSG and the food is very good.

The lobster bisque was very salty and the chicken chop chop salad was drenched with dressing. The service was good and the rooms is bright and clean. Still a great place to go before a Knick/Ranger game. The side door gets you in ahead of the crowd.

My $66 steak was cold. Need I say more? In NYC you can walk a block in any direction and find a great restaurant. Next time I'll take that walk.

If Service was the only factor, I would rate this a 10 stars out of 5 available. I have only been treated so well at places like The French Laundry or 11 Madison Park. Sal went so far our of his way to ensure that we had a fantastic evening that mere words cannot convey how appreciative I am. The food was solid and well prepared. The wine list, will not overly deep, has some amazing bottles and they are at amazing prices for a Restaurant as well. I will never go anywhere else in the MSG neighborhood, and will probably make the effort of travel down there when they are not busy and I am not heading to an event, just to support the place.
