They really know how to take care of their guests. Birthdays are awesome here. Oh, and that dry aged beef melts in your mouth. Thank you for the great service!
My family and I had a great birthday dinner. Our server, Victor, did a phenomenal job in taking care of our table. H
Amazing as usual. The birthday dessert is always a delicious way to end the meal. We will be back soon.
Wonderful evening! Our waiter was attentive and helpful,
the wine list is awesome and the steaks were grilled to perfection
The food was amazing, our server suggested the Brussels sprouts and I was amazed! Super delicious! Definitely coming back :)
The service here is impeccable. The Scallops are to die for. Like the Popovers served tableside vs a basket of bread.
Wonderful experience from the time I walked through the door until I left. Service was great, food was exceptional, drinks were very good. Would love to go back next time I am in LA.
We are all so appreciative of your kind words. It means a lot when everyone's efforts are mentioned in these reviews and I'll be sure to share this with the entire team. We look forward to welcoming you back when you return to LA!
This was my 1st time eating here and I will definitely be back. Had the dry aged tomahawk rib eye and have to say it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. I've been to all the great place, Mastros, Flemings, Ruth Chris and Nick & Stefs was ranked right up there.
Thank you Robert for your wonderful review!! Great call on the tomahawk and we're all thrilled you had a great time. We look forward to your next visit!
Filet Mignon was soooo delicious. Waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. Had fun dining!
Thank you for your kind review!! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed everything from food to service and we look forward to welcoming you back soon!
Food was good and the staff was professional yet very friendly.
Thank you George for taking the time to review us regarding your last experience. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed everything and we look forward to your next visit!
Very disappointing. My 16oz. NY steak was a total waste. I ate no more than 2oz. The smoky flavor us totally unexpected and something I would not have ordered. My wife ordered her lamb to be butterflied but it arrived unbutterflied and the meat was way to rare. It was sent back and we ended up eating at separate times. In my opinion, a total waste of $250. I most certainly would not recommend this restaurant
Good food. The service was excellent. The only negative was the very loud patron sitting behind us discussing very personal matters for all to hear. This of course is not the fault of the restaurant, but it did take away from the overall dining experience.
Hello and thank you for your great review. I am so happy to hear that you had a great experience and thank you for understanding that some things are out of our control regarding the loud patron. We hope to see you again in the very near future!
I only saw my server twice, when he took my order and when he brought Me my check, which was also the only time my water cup was refilled, he wasn’t even the one to bring out my food, also I was placed in a little room near the kitchen which was distracting and noisy. The level of carelessness was unbelievable. Not worth the money you’re spending to eat at this place. Will not be returning
First off the prices for the portions and quality of the meats are insane. I could cook a much more delicious filet at home for a fraction of the cost. There was NOTHING special about it. My boyfriend’s came out over cooked. They were kind and took it off the bill and gave him a free drink. This was our second time and I wouldn’t return. There’s definitely better out there and you don’t leave spending $300 for a simple meal.
Absolutely delicious dinner we had and the service was super from the greeting at the front desk To the attention by the maître d’ and the prompt and friendly server and efficient Bussman. We sat in a lovely upholstered and comfortable booth, And the food was really super: an absolutely delicious petite fillet and the side dishes are delectable. Had a great dirty martini to go with my steak and I was too full to have dessert but look forward to it next time.
Also free valet and just a short walk to catch a show at the Ahmanson at the music center. What a lovely experience. I can’t wait to go back!
Thank you so much for your great review! I am so happy you enjoyed everything about your experience and love to hear that there are plans for another visit in the works!
Food was great but service wasn't. I'm not sure if we caught them on an off night but it was definitely sub par. However management did their best to compensate for the issues. I would go back again the food was phenomenal.
Food was great, ambience was great, staff was great. Just wish I had remebered the name of our waiter from last year, Victor. I will not forget his name again. He is absolutely the best waiter we have ever had. He provides more than service, he provides an experience.
The food was delicious and the ambience was spectacular!
Went for the tomahawk and it was amazing. Their steak never disappoints.
Its amazing food and service. It's nice to splurge once in a while.
Great service and fantastic steaks!
The service and food were both slow. We had reservations so we were seated right away at a table with a nice view. Unfortunately the service was a little slow and the food even slower to come out. We had to ask our waitress how much longer first the salad would be and then the main course. Food was very good once we got it.
Food was great but the server was too busy and kept forgetting about my table.
I'm so sorry to hear that your experience with us was underwhelming. We use these reviews to continuously improve our service here and I hope this hasn't discouraged you from joining us again.
It was absolutely delicious...make sure you're seated away from a loud baby.. Other than that 99% of the evening was an excellent evening. Filet mignon and NY steak was juicy. Try the scallops! Excellent service all around with Ludwig and his wonderful recommendations!!
I took my gf out for her birthday dinner and the service and pricing was great. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
The restaurant was nice, the food was good. Was it exceptional? I don't think so. I've been to fine dining Steakhouses all over the country and while it was all pleasant enough, I have been to better at a cost that is much more reasonable. This is just my personal opinion.
Nice interior, friendly staff and good food!
the ceasar salad was excellent, but I asked for more anchovies and they never came, and it took quite a while to get salt and pepper. Pork chop was good but over cooked.
Arrived on a Friday for an early pre-show dinner. The service was absolutely terrific. We especially appreciated the talk-through as our server built the table-side caesar, explaining as she went what each ingredient was and why the sequence was important.
We each enjoyed an expertly made Old Fashion made with Michter's small batch. Really great, and each glass contained the coolest monogrammed block of ice
For dinner I ordered the dry-aged rib eye medium rare and my wife ordered the dry-aged New York medium. We both agreed that these were the best steaks any restaurant had ever served us, by a huge margin. Sides are family style, so we selected the potatoes au gratin and the roasted mushrooms. Both were delicious (especially those potatoes...wow!).
We finished up with a shared dessert, the salted caramel white mousse, which was divine.
Honestly one of the most enjoyable dining-out experiences of my fairly long life. Somewhat expensive (about $300 for the two of us) and absolutely worth it.
When you think you deserve a really great steak dinner, this is where you get it.
Nick & Stef's is our go-to place when we are in DTLA. The service is excellent and the food is always good. The staff makes you feel at home and it is just a very welcoming restaurant. We enjoy it immensely.
Thank you Mrs. Kenyon for your incredibly heartfelt review. It was so great to see you both the other evening and it means everything to us that you feel welcome and well cared for each visit. We absolutely love seeing your name on our reservation list and look forward to your next visit.
Quiet respite from all the construction going on outside. The food is always delicious. Service is wonderful, always on point. Will definitely be back soon!
Hi Cynthia, Thank you so much for your positive review and I'm glad both food and service meet your expectations each visit. Despite the construction, we too feel our location is a hidden gem. We all look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
Food is very good. I ate seafood, & especially liked the oysters - very fresh, very tasty. Took awhile to get them, however. The table-made Caesar Salad was fun to watch being made & quite good to eat. The main dish was Atlantic salmon - well prepared, perfectly cooked (which is crucial for seafood...a few seconds too long on the fire can quickly ruin it.)
Hi Nancy, I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed everything, thank you so much for your kind feedback. I'm glad you highlighted the seafood items. We wouldn't just have phenomenal steaks and let our seafood selections fall flat. I hope your kind words encourage those on pescatarian diets to join us!
celebrated my 17th birthday, first time here but not last, food and service was amazing. steak was bomb!!!!
Thank you Eduardo for your kind words. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your birthday celebration with us and we look forward to seeing you again!
We had a great experience from start to finish. The food was excellent and they were able to accommodate all of my strange allergies.
Pretty pricey, but then justified. Dry-aged beef made the entire meal worth every penny. Had a glass of some Blanton’s which was decently priced and ordered the 28-day dry-aged Tomahawk for two and it brought this entire restaurant up to top 3 steakhouse for me. Service was as expected, nothing above and beyond.
Absurdly over priced $450 for a one steak dinner - with two simple sides, one smallish appetizer & a ok bottle of wine. $450! Are you kidding Me?
Nick and Stefs is very pricey and for this one should expect and receive superlative everything so.....the ambience especially in the big second room is kinda cold...not cozy enough. Our steaks were excellent but no selection of sauces were offered. the Caesar salad was uninspired. I asked for a simple baked potato but instead was brought a loaded bake potato. When i asked for an exchange, was told that the last simple baked potato had been eaten. The brocollini was too oily. No bread was offered. The bartender was excellent however.
My husband and I had dinner to celebrate his bday. First the cheese bread we got was soft and I kept asking for more, we ordered oysters which were beyond delicious and for dinner we shared a 48 oz Tomahawk steak......this steak was beyond delicious. The quality of this steak was impeccable and worth the money!!!! Great atmosphere, delicious appetizers and overall quality of the food we ate was amazing.
The side items and table side caeser we’re all very good, the streak was undercooked and warm at best. For the price I should have returned it but we had theatre tickets and didn’t really have the time. I would visit again, but would get a thinner cut of meat, but a filet.
My rib eye steak had a delicious flavor; but, it had a lot of fat and gristle.
