Awesome tableside Caesar salad. Two people in my party had the Wagu beef and literally stopped talking and closed their eyes to savor it as they said it was the best thing they had ever eaten! The chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream was enough for four to share after the rest of the meal and was an excellent way to end the meal.

What a great experience! I loved our dinner at Nick and Stef's. The food and presentation of it is really outstanding. Our server (I think her name was Julie?) was superb. She made sure we were taken care of all the time...

My dinner at Nick and Stef was a wonderful. What stood out was a service it was impeccable! The food was good but limited as we were there for La dine week and committed to sticking with in that menu option. When we go back we'd definitely try other menu items. We've eaten at the Nick and stuff in New York and the ambience here in LA is so much better. I would definitely go back there again!

As of the Patina Group, Nick and Stef was worth a try. Came in for dineLA lunch and ordered: a glass of Cabernet, the signature Cesar salad, Hanger steak, caramelized brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. The Cesar salad could have been better with fresher romaine hearts, these were a tad wilted and lacked the fresh crunchy factor, but had freshly shaved Parmesan and seasoned croutons.
Despite ordering the hanger steak medium rare, cutting it was a slight challenge. The aromatic grilled charred seasoning was present but it was not a good cut and didn't want to eat beyond 2 bites; such a let down. The brussel sprouts were micro and not substantial, so I had to send them back for the garlic mashed potatoes, which was a perfect pairing for the though hanger steak. If their hanger steak is this though , I am not interested in better cut steaks. I always compare to Mastros BH 90210, which is one of the best.
The hostesses, waiters and servers were all professional, attentive and nice. This restaurant is located within the Wells Fargo courtyard surrounded by DTLA financial sky scrapers.
Will probably not return soon but will recommend as I am a fan of Patina restaurant group, however
I was disappointed because I had higher expectations from Patina restaurant group.

Meat, service and ambience did not justify the price. At any price, the steaks were ordinary and service poor. The cheese popovers were outstanding. Remodeled N&S is not much of a renovation. Dark, dreary and cheap looking. BAD experience overall. I remember the days when Joaquim Splichal's name would guarantee excellent food. SAD.

Excellent Service and Excellent Tasting Steak!

My wife and I enjoyed an early New Year's Eve dinner at Nick & Stef's! We went for the steaks but service is the primary reason for the five-star review!

Our server was Ludwig. From the minute he greeted us I felt he was serious in making sure that we had a great dining experience. He asked if it was our first time dining at Nick and Stef's and when we replied yes he described the menu offerings and the flow of the meal. He asked if we were going to see a show (which we were) and what time it was so that would finish on time.

As we were studying the menu we were served cheese filled pop-overs. I limited myself to two so as to not fill up, but could have eaten a half-dozen. They were just great.

My wife and I shared the scallops appetizer. I am normally not a fan of scallops but they are my wife's favorite. I had one of the three and it was delicious and the presentation was beautiful too.

We both ordered the dry-aged New York steak. My wife ordered her's "blue" rare and I ordered mine medium-rare. The flavor of my steak, with the char of the grill, was excellent...the best tasting steak that I have ever had. My wife had a difficult time cutting her steak and Ludwig brought three different steak knives. New York steak is not the most tender and somewhat more difficult to cut when very rare, in my opinion. We both enjoyed our steaks! We shared two sides.

I started with a glass of what I will call the "house red," a Gamay. It was a good choice for the appetizer, but not bold enough for a good steak. When I finished the first glass I asked Ludwig for something "bigger" to better match my steak and he brought a Syrah. It was an excellent wine and a perfect match for the steak.

We shared a large slice of Lemon meringue pie for desert and it was a good finish for an excellent meal. We left in time to walk the two blocks to our concert. Thanks, Ludwig!

An incredible place for steak. Always order the steak that has been aged. It costs a little more, but you can tell that the flavor is so much better. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend. FYI...this is a pricey restaurant...but they backup the price with quality and great service.

Very expensive dining and the atmosphere isn't even that great. A good cut of meat starts around at $49 and it goes up to around $89 without a side dish. You can find same quality of meat somewhere else for a better price with a side. I prefer Wolgang Puck, they also have great steaks and a wonderful atmosphere.

Celebrated my anniversary here recently and sat on the outdoor patio. Our waitress brought both of us a complimentary glass of champagne to start the meal which was a very nice gesture. We came just for happy hour and quick bites. We had the spinach, artichoke and crab dip which was incredible. Then my partner had the regular slider and I have the crab cake slider which I loved. We shared the roasted squash salad which tasted delicious and helped cut the richness in the rest of our meal. We got the cheese plate but honestly it was just okay, I wouldn’t get it again and I usually love cheese plates. We ended with the mousse and it was spectacular. My boyfriend had the old fashioned and I had the mojito. Both cocktails were made very well. Overall, a wonderful dinner and our waitress Taylor was just attentive enough to not be overbearing and let us enjoy our romantic date.

Waiter was very inexperienced. Not wearing proper attire. He took the order wrong. He did not explain dinner vs lunch menu. Also when ordering the 48 ounce tomahawk this includes the weight of the bone. We ended up ordering more steak which killed the ambiance. During the Salad time the manager came to prepare the salad and not a waiter or a cook. This did not look good. I brought my entire employees and i was disappointed at the ambiance and service. Dirty carpets bathrooms are old. Place needs renovation if you ask me. I did not dispute but i am not thrilled about going back. The food was amazing but very pricey. I will look for another Location. I had to ask them to lighten up the ambiance no music, audio was off. Spent $1,600 with tip for 7 of us. Also wine glasses were very water stained.

I believe Charise was our server for the night, I might have got her name wrong, and I apologise if I did, but she was wonderful in making my husband's birthday dinner a blast. Another apology that I'd like to send is perhaps our tip left for her might not have been as good as local standards because I come from a country where tipping is not accepted and we're not used to how it works out.

He remembers the name of the steak we had, 3 weeks down, it was that memorable for him. The foie gras, oysters, desserts we had, was memorable.

Thank you for making his birthday and our honeymoon memorable.

We ordered the seafood tower and tomahawk ribeye. Food presentation was great but those who ate oysters were left in stomach pains and irritable bowel movements for about 2 days. :(

Service seemed slower than your average fine dining because we waited over an hour for our dinner salad. I found it difficult to wave for help when looking for the bill, or to inform them of our time crunch.

Will was great! And so were the other servers who helped out when others got busy. The busboys were also very attentive. Timing on food arrival was great. The table was never cluttered with unnessary plates.
The only thing that put a damper on the dinner was the large party that was sat in front of us. We were in a booth, they were at an arranged long table. Drunk and loud but we understand you can’t control others.
