A beautiful location. Great service. Atmosphere on the “high-end” but not off putting. Food was great. Recommended the Mac and Cheese. Great wine selection.

Upscale place with awkward parking and directions. Nice ambient lighting. Excellent service. For the prices, the food was average. Ordered the Tomahawk medium but it came out rare and we had to return to cook again. Ordered ribeye rare that came out medium. I know it’s hard to get this right but seriously? Halibut was seasoned well but dry. All the sides that we ordered were yummy. The cocktails and wine were excellent as was the delicious dessert. I would give this place another shot.

This is a gem among surprisingly few great restaurants in the immediate area. The service is impeccable, and the food is fresh, very good and perfectly prepared. Great for business lunches or dining with someone special.

The food was wonderful and the service fabulous. We were celebrating a birthday and had not requested anything but they served us a great dessert and it even had a candle!
This was pur first time eating here and we were hoping to get that wow experience but We were a little dissappointed to wait a bit longer approximately 30-35 min to get the meals , even though the restaurant wasnt that busy .. ..

Came to have dinner for my boyfriend's birthday. The tomahawk steak did no disappoint! Worth every single $$ Service was very good. Our water glasses were never empty.
Excellent food---their steaks are hard to beat. We had dinner before Disney Hall and it was enjoyable. Only downside: it was cold in the restaurant because the heat was down since there is extensive construction in the building.
Company Execs took a new hire there for a Welcome lunch. Excellent service and food. The short-rib plate is the best!!!

The food was good but I was expecting better, the dry aged steaks were unique but it tasted like something I could make at home. The next day I made a New York strip at home and it turned out better. I enjoyed Flemmings more. It was also very dark in the restaurant I could barely see my food.
It was perfect! It was the perfect setting, the food was great! Our server was personable and made sure we were taken care of. We had a great time. We’ll definitely be coming back!
I called the restaurant in advance to ask a dessert be brought to the table for my partner's birthday and I said I would pay for it, I wasn't expecting a freebie. No problem, the man said. It never came. We ordered a dry aged rib eye medium rare. It came rare, had no flavor, was tough, full of gristle and fat, and no higher caliber than Sizzler and I hope I'm not demeaning Sizzler. The recommended sauce was watery and flavorless. The broccolini was too al dente... nearly raw. In a city full of Brussels sprouts, this was the worst version I've had. Mushrooms were okay. The waiter came once after the runner brought the food and before we even had a bite to ask how everything was. We hadn't tasted it yet and we never saw him again until the plates were cleared. Otherwise, I would have complained about the quality of food. Our reservations were at 2 p.m. and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Honestly, this place just doesn't care. It's expensive, they are doing their job, but they just don't care about what's on the menu or the quality of their cooking or ingredients or their service. It was so disappointing and they can be assured I will never be back.
Food and service were amazing! It was little too noisy that we could not really talk quietly. It was as if there was a big conference meeting because of the noise. Other than that, the dry aged rib eye was just simply the best in medium well cooked.

Great food and a pleasant ambiance. The A La Carte Model leaves the meal feeling bleak though, I would want combinations sugested by the Chef as well as individual items.

Wonderful server, great food and drinks
This was our first visit to Nick and Stef 's and it will be our last. After we were seated it took over 10 minutes for the server to come over and great us. He immediately started to tell us about the steaks. Had he read the information which was sent to the restaurant from my open table profile he would have seen that I had some food allergies and do not eat meat or poultry. We placed our order for Caesar salad, Branzino and the long beans. We asked for as little oil and butter as possible and for the salad to be lightly dressed. He said that as the salad is prepared table side that is not a problem. After a further lengthy wait the server came to our table to prepare the Caesar. We reminded him about dressing it lightly, as we watched him putting large amounts of stuff in the mixing bowl. When we received the salads he rushed away. The salads were very heavily dressed despite our requests and we discovered that he had not given us any croutons or anchovy. We tried to way lay him to no avail and finally asked another person about the croutons. Due to the slow service we did not have enough time to get the salad remade. We were told that the anchovies were in the dressing even though we had overheard other tables being asked whether they wanted anchovies or not. We were brought croutons in a small bowl. We were offered a second popover. I said no but my husband asked for one but it never arrived, and shortly after saying he wanted one his side plate was removed while mine was left on
While waiting for our entrée a different server tried to deliver someone else's food to us twice. When we received our entrees the fish was well prepared but the beans were extremely greasy. The server never came to check on us, and we had to ask a manager for the check. Although they offer shuttle bus service to the Music Center, it only ran at 7:05 and 7:30. On the way back it took two calls to the restaurant and a 20 minute wait for the shuttle to arrive.
Our corkage was comped by our wonderful waiter, which was good, but we understood from BYOB website that there was no corkage fee, so the "waiver" was a bit of a surprise. (We took a quick glance at the wine menu and didn't see a corkage fee listed, so this is something that might need to be cleared up). It wasn't Nick & Stef's fault, but there was a table nearby with an amazingly loud laugher. So, it was a bit more "energetic" than we'd hoped, but still just fine. Our waiter was awesome and the food was great.

Overall experience was good. We were seated promptly. Requested a booth and were moved when one became available (within 10 min of being seated). Ordered table side ceaser salad which took almost 45 min to come out. Our steaks took another 30 min once appy plates were cleared. My steak was undercooked. They took it back and cooked it slightly more after acknowledging that it was in fact under cooked. No compensation for the mistake or the time it took for the food to come out. Service, while very efficient, was extremely cold.
Regardless, we would return because the food was very tasty.
Night at the L.A. Opera! Traffic was terrible, so we called the restaurant to let them know we would be 15 minutes late. The hostess was very accommodating and even asked if we were seeing a performance to make sure we would be able to dine on time. Our waiter Ludwig was very attentive and made the evening very enjoyable. It was our first time there and he answered all of our questions. Ludwig was very patient and humorous, too! The food was delicious and so were the cadillac margaritas. We started with the wedge and table side Caesar salads and then shared an aged New York steak and 2 sides. Ludwig asked if we'd like the steak to be sliced to make it easier for sharing, so it was nicely presented on a wooden plank. So tasty! We also loved that our plates were heated. The scalloped potatoes were fantastic! FYI - To use the complementary valet, you must enter the parking garage. There is also a free shuttle that you can take from the restaurant to the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, which worked out well because we were seeing Candide. The shuttle departed at 7:05pm. It was so nice not having to battle traffic in the parking garage at the music center. Once the performance was over, we hopped on the shuttle and picked up our car back at the restaurant valet. Wonderful evening!
