Went for an anniversary and was given complementary champagne. Steak was amazing. The wine choice were plenty and tasty. Service was attentive and knowledgeable without feeling intrusive. Pricy but definitely worth it. Would recommend

This is a great place to enjoy a delicious steak. The Tomahawk chop is the steak we enjoyed on our visit and it was nothing less than superb. The complementary cheese bread is served warm and it is the perfect compliment to your experience. The service at the location was great as well. I definitely recommend this to those steak lovers and for special occasions. I can't wait to dine their again and try their other selections.

My wife and I had a babysitter and I have been wanting to try Nick & Steph's since before the remodel. We liked the atmosphere and service, but the food was just ok. There was nothing wrong with the meals we had, but I think that we weren't blown away by the flavors. Everything was just what it should be, but only that. Not sure about if we would come here again as we can get the same or better for our money closer to home. If we were in the neighborhood, I might drop in for the caesar salad and oysters, with a side of their yummy bread, in the future.

Chose this restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. It was the perfect choice, the food was amazing. With some restaurant holidays are not usually their best dinners but not here, everyone was professional and made my dining experience memorable. I’ll definitely return

Went for a date night at 9pm and had great service from Will. He was personable and fun to speak with. Guided us through some of the items until we settled on a great special and a filet.

The food was excellent, what you would expect from a good steakhouse. The service, however, was not equally impressive. The night started rather well, I arrived with my girlfriend and was seated quickly, our waiter arrived moments after we’d gotten comfortable. We ordered salads as appetizers and their cut and whiskey offerings for mains. When the salads arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see the Caesar being made table side, I enjoyed the show, but requested no croutons be added. Our waiter threw them in anyway, and while I noticed she realized her mistake, she ignored it and continued the salad. It was a minor mistake so I didn’t worry much about it, just set them aside and carried on. The main course was great, the steaks where perfectly done and the whiskey pairings complimented them well. All in all our anniversary was going very well and we were enjoying ourselves tremendously. So far we’d spent about 50 minutes seated overall, then came the obligatory “room for desert”? We accepted.
This is where it all went down hill. The waitress recommended their chocolate soufflé cake, though said it might be a 15min wait. My girlfriend was enticed and we decided to order it. After 20mins had passed I began to notice our waiter deliberately walk a longer path around our table to attend to a tables behind us, which made me suspicious. She stopped looking in our direction and it wasn’t until the 35min mark that I managed to flag her down. The very moment I called to her she began apologizing profusely, and offered to omit the cost of the cake. At the 50min mark I was fuming. My girlfriend did her best to lighten my mood, and I tried to reciprocate her affection, but my night truly had been ruined. The cake arrived at the hour mark, my girlfriend did enjoy it, but I didn’t even try it. Nor did I take a picture of it. My disappointment ran deep. Never would I have imagined the service at my local IHOP would outshine the steakhouse I chose for an anniversary.

I was a little disappointed, my steak had no flavor. The caesar salad was made table-side, but we were not ask what we wanted in it, even though I heard him ask all the other tables around. For 48$ your need to have me involved throughout the whole process. The sides were very small and the food overall was mediocre. I guess I was looking for some more to stand out. Plus the waiter did not bring back the change he must have thought his tip would be less than 20%. But my friends and I are very good tippers, even if you do a horrible job you still get paid.

Service was great but the food was mediocre, and considering what we paid, it should have been outstanding. My dry-aged New York steak was hard (beyond tough, it was firm and almost crunchy) and bore almost no flavor, the creamed spinach tasted like nothing and was watery, and the lemon meringue pie for dessert tasted like it had been stored in the fridge where they were dry-aging the beef. Highlights of the meal were the salad made tableside and the Brussels sprouts. My husband’s rib-eye steak was great but fatty and the oatmeal cookies were a nice end to the evening. I wish we’d stayed home and made our own steak and oatmeal cookies. :-/

Cozy little spot in downtown LA. We had the hardest time finding the restaurant due to all of the construction in the area. But the hostess was helpful every time we were lost and had to call. Food was great and lavender cocktail was refreshing!

Need sharp knives for steaks, better seasoning, texture of Wagyu steak good, aged rib eye average (was expecting more from a dry aged meat). Asparagus was great, dessert was perfect, mac and cheese good.
Need hot sauce for oysters.

Having had 20 + good experiences over the years, I was ready for a great night. Our server seemed engaged until we needed help - we had an over-salted piece of fish and all the potatoes were cold and brought back still cold; my steak was perfect. Management engaged and took a lot of the "stuff" off the bill. My guests were very underwhelmed. I may try it again.

Great as always. The wine list is much improved with the addition of more varietals and more wines from other areas of the world. The staff is fantastic- warm, friendly and attentive. The steaks are perfect and now include Tasmanian grass fed beef as well as the dry aged prime.

Went with two buddies to enjoy steak! We were not disappointed. Everything we order was perfectly prepared and presented. It made me wonder what I should order next time!

The crab cakes and shrimp cocktail deserve better names! They were a far superior offering than what other steak houses would offer.

While this was a nice restaurant , it was expensive. My steak was over cooked and dry which I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t cost $50. We had a table which seemed to be in everyone’s way. The bill was around $500 for 4 with no cocktails or bottles of wine. Waiter did a good job getting us out in time for the concert.

Unexpectedly awesome. This is a quiet, off the beaten path restaurant that really knows how to prepare a subtly smokey, open fire grilled aged steak. Just blew us all away with sumptuous meaty flavors and we’ll designed side dishes that complimented rather than overwhelmed the steak. Cocktails were uniquely crafted and the wine list, while not exhaustive, provided excellent well thought out choices. We will be back for more!

I had a great meal here celebrating my anniversary. Nice ambiance. Excellent service. I recommend getting the table-side Cesar salad which was great. Extensive wine list and good cocktail selection. Enjoyed the steaks and the options of sauces. The potato gratin and creamed spinach were good, although not the best creamed spinach I've ever had. Too full to get dessert haha. My only complaint is that it was very hard to locate, especially if you don't work in the area. There are no street level signs letting you know that it's basically in the middle of the Wells Fargo building. Just go up the stairs to the "courtyard" level and you will see it.

This place was pretty amazing! The food, service, ambiance, and drinks were perfect. I would really like to give a special shout to Marlin, the wine connoisseur at Nick and Stefs. This man knows a thing or two, or pretty much EVERYTHING there is to know when it comes to pairing your favorite dish with wine. If you don’t know what bottle to order, just ask for Marlin, he’ll tell you exactly what to order with your dish!

Very noisy, very slow service, very badly char burned rack of lack with a raw inside. I would give it a miss and head to the Hilton Checkers 3 blocks away and get a 10 times better properly prepared bone in ribeye for way less money and with a full plate of food. The lamb and my guests food tasted char burned with a smokey flavor such as the meats had been caught on fire or placed in some kind of smoker or drenched in liquid smoke. Bad outcome and uncooked inside, very, very long wait for food, everything extra as in no full plate of food with sides, and not cheap by the way.
