I only saw my server twice, when he took my order and when he brought Me my check, which was also the only time my water cup was refilled, he wasn’t even the one to bring out my food, also I was placed in a little room near the kitchen which was distracting and noisy. The level of carelessness was unbelievable. Not worth the money you’re spending to eat at this place. Will not be returning
First off the prices for the portions and quality of the meats are insane. I could cook a much more delicious filet at home for a fraction of the cost. There was NOTHING special about it. My boyfriend’s came out over cooked. They were kind and took it off the bill and gave him a free drink. This was our second time and I wouldn’t return. There’s definitely better out there and you don’t leave spending $300 for a simple meal.
Absolutely delicious dinner we had and the service was super from the greeting at the front desk To the attention by the maître d’ and the prompt and friendly server and efficient Bussman. We sat in a lovely upholstered and comfortable booth, And the food was really super: an absolutely delicious petite fillet and the side dishes are delectable. Had a great dirty martini to go with my steak and I was too full to have dessert but look forward to it next time.
Also free valet and just a short walk to catch a show at the Ahmanson at the music center. What a lovely experience. I can’t wait to go back!
Thank you so much for your great review! I am so happy you enjoyed everything about your experience and love to hear that there are plans for another visit in the works!
Food was great but service wasn't. I'm not sure if we caught them on an off night but it was definitely sub par. However management did their best to compensate for the issues. I would go back again the food was phenomenal.
Food was great, ambience was great, staff was great. Just wish I had remebered the name of our waiter from last year, Victor. I will not forget his name again. He is absolutely the best waiter we have ever had. He provides more than service, he provides an experience.
The food was delicious and the ambience was spectacular!
Went for the tomahawk and it was amazing. Their steak never disappoints.
Its amazing food and service. It's nice to splurge once in a while.
Great service and fantastic steaks!
The service and food were both slow. We had reservations so we were seated right away at a table with a nice view. Unfortunately the service was a little slow and the food even slower to come out. We had to ask our waitress how much longer first the salad would be and then the main course. Food was very good once we got it.
Food was great but the server was too busy and kept forgetting about my table.
I'm so sorry to hear that your experience with us was underwhelming. We use these reviews to continuously improve our service here and I hope this hasn't discouraged you from joining us again.
It was absolutely delicious...make sure you're seated away from a loud baby.. Other than that 99% of the evening was an excellent evening. Filet mignon and NY steak was juicy. Try the scallops! Excellent service all around with Ludwig and his wonderful recommendations!!
I took my gf out for her birthday dinner and the service and pricing was great. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
The restaurant was nice, the food was good. Was it exceptional? I don't think so. I've been to fine dining Steakhouses all over the country and while it was all pleasant enough, I have been to better at a cost that is much more reasonable. This is just my personal opinion.
Nice interior, friendly staff and good food!
the ceasar salad was excellent, but I asked for more anchovies and they never came, and it took quite a while to get salt and pepper. Pork chop was good but over cooked.
Arrived on a Friday for an early pre-show dinner. The service was absolutely terrific. We especially appreciated the talk-through as our server built the table-side caesar, explaining as she went what each ingredient was and why the sequence was important.
We each enjoyed an expertly made Old Fashion made with Michter's small batch. Really great, and each glass contained the coolest monogrammed block of ice
For dinner I ordered the dry-aged rib eye medium rare and my wife ordered the dry-aged New York medium. We both agreed that these were the best steaks any restaurant had ever served us, by a huge margin. Sides are family style, so we selected the potatoes au gratin and the roasted mushrooms. Both were delicious (especially those potatoes...wow!).
We finished up with a shared dessert, the salted caramel white mousse, which was divine.
Honestly one of the most enjoyable dining-out experiences of my fairly long life. Somewhat expensive (about $300 for the two of us) and absolutely worth it.
When you think you deserve a really great steak dinner, this is where you get it.
Nick & Stef's is our go-to place when we are in DTLA. The service is excell
