   We left a rather bad play early. Arriving at Nice Matin was such a joy. At 8:40 the place was full of happy West Siders chatting and drinking away—it was really festive, on that Parisian was. Escargots and Duck outstanding. Cheers for the steaks and desserts, too. One of the best soufflés around.

   Nice Matin should be a good restaurant but the food was mediocre. It was my first time there. I had branzino that was over-roasted with tasteless eggplant puree. I order it with glass of riesling which was fine.

   Nice place to eat and have conversations, you don’t have to scream, you could hear each other very well. Food always good, service impeccable.

   When I returned home I good moderate to bad indigestion from the ratatouille crepe I ate. I would recommend the restaurant but not that particular dish, which is too bad bc it tasted delicious

   We dined on a Monday night at this "just right" French bistro. Nice bar, pleasant decor. Good service. We ordered wine by the glass from an interesting list and were very pleased. The escargots a la provencale were fantastic. My wife didn't care for her sole Milanese (too much of a "fried food" aftertaste) but my lamb shank a L'Italienne (with a nice glass of red Rhone wine) was superb. Sorbet for dessert topped everything off. We would happily return.

    I had Thanksgiving last year and the food was better. I was looking forward to the fried artichokes and they were not very good- jar/can artichokes were subpar compared with last year’s fresh fried artichokes. Very disappointing. Last year I had steak and it was fantastic- this year I had a very rough piece of meat,not great. The sauce was great and so were the mashed potatoes. I always love the crème brûlée! I tried my partners Apple pie, meh. Thank you

    Hasn’t been here since pre pandemic. Before then I used to come five or six times a year. Service and ambiance are still very nice but food isn’t as good. Menu is a little more bland/less interesting and our food was totally fine but not great. Even the rolls tasted a little stale/were hard. Would not go back for the food but maybe only if I needed a place in the immediate vicinity to eat.

    Thoroughly enjoyable dinner with my wife and a friend from 50 years ago. We’ve eaten here before and will likely do so again when we’re in New York again. A perfect neighborhood restaurant in a great upper west side location.

    Service was poor - no one came to our table for 15 minutes after being seated. Then our order was taken French toast and pancakes. No syrup. Had to wait to flag someone down and there where plenty of servers. Then no coffee refills. Had to flag servers down. I still don’t know if our table had a server other than who we flagged down. This might be my last visit…sad as I live one block away.

    The service was extremely rushed for a 6pm rez and a fairly empty place. The food was a total disappointment. Sole meunière should be sautéed, not deep fried. The fish was not fresh. At all. Inedible. I left it on my plate. The waiter never asked if I was fine since I’m sure he knows the food is inferior. I went home and had a bowl of cereal.

    Nice Martin is a beautiful French restaurant with a wide selection of entrees to choose from. I ordered the Salmon Benedict, and wish they would add a tad more salmon. One slice is not enough. It didn't cover the bread.

    The only things that keeps the review from being perfect is that it was a little loud. But 11:00 brunch on a Sunday in Manhattan is bound to be busy and loud. The food is excellent and came to the table quickly. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive without hovering.

    Food was outstanding, especially the artichoke and octopus starters. Never got bread, and had to ask for it deep into the meal. Cocktails were creative; try the Japanese whiskey, sour. Steak Frites was beautifully charred and uniformly pink throughout, served with tasty béarnaise, and perfectly executed fries.

    This is such a civilized place to have a very good breakfast. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is as good iQor better than anything you can find in Florida, and a small glass is included in the very reasonable prix fixe American breakfast. I thought the kitchen was slightly off its usual mark this time—the Gruyère omelet was fairly tasteless, as were the potatoes, but this is atypical and the omelets are generally great. The coffee is consistently excellent, as is the service. We will be back, many times.

    We have been coming here for many years. It’s always been good, but lately the food seems better than ever. We came early so it was relatively quiet which we like, and our favorite waiter and the sommelier gave us outstanding service because it wasn’t too busy.

    Nice Matin is consistently a good choice for brunch. Food and service is excellent, and nice drink list. Outside dining is really lovely, and the dining room inside is as well. Will continue to choose this restaurant for a reliable UWS dining experience.
