Given that this is Covid-forced Winter outdoor dining, we enjoyed the experience, our cheerful server and the delicious food.

Wonderful service and very good heaters. We brought stadium blankets to put on our laps and were perfectly comfortable in 45-degree temperatures. The food and wine was great and the waitstaff was lovely. Thank you for staying open and making it so easy, Nice Matin!

Outdoor seating was terrific - good heating system and the glass panels facing street only allowed diffused lightening which was a nice touch. ing.er/evenWe had an excellent dinner

Nice Matin has long been one of my favorite places to eat, and this time did not disappoint. The Sommelier recommended an excellent wine and the food was great as always.

Outdoor seating will require the use of more heaters.......maybe 2 per table, and wind blockers. It was far too cold 43degrees....or colder......

Went there for Christmas dinner. They did a great job. Service and food was great. Also the heat lamps really make it nice and warm.

The food was great but unfortunately the ambience was not great having to eat outside. It would have been better if the heat lamps were closer to the tables or if they were willing to move another heat lamp over to our table. Considering we were one of two tables outside and there were many heaters unused, one would think they would be willing to accommodate with second heating lamp.

No restaurant has it easy these days. But the team at Nice Matin is doing a great job, from socially distanced tables and a clean environment to the always good comfort food and service (the new chef is off to a great start here)...

And of course the wine list is still one of the best in town.

The Upper West Side wouldn't be the same without this place...

Both my husband and I had tuna salad which tasted ok but we were both unwell after the lunch. Disappointing.

Lovely dinner. Had halibut which was delicious. Service was terrific. Wonderful evening.

I missed the GF menu, but during COVID, it's completely understandable that this would go by the wayside. The pastries were outstanding always, and the bistro fries were perfect! Our burger cooked unevenly, but the manager immediately rectified the situation, and the result was melt-in-your-mouth delicious (kind of like the mac & cheese on special). We also loved the fall salad, a great combination of simple flavors.

Ambiance was great, but a little cold (however, ventilation is probably currently more important than comfort). Service was pretty good (manager was great), but our server kept trying to get away from us (may say more about me than the service. Heh.).

Dining here made our day, and we will be back to support the UWS gem.

We thought we’d sit outside, but it was a little chilly and there were few other people seated indoors. Service was attentive but not pushy. Food was terrific (avocado toast for one of us; socca crepes for the other; the profiterole for dessert). We lingered and weren’t rushed. Really nice experience.

We had a wonderful meal outside with great food, warmth and attention. They've definitely upped their game in the face of this terrible plague. They're also providing free meals to out of work actors. Can't recommend more highly.

Food was good - cappuccino was not that good and was very expensive

Over the many years we have been dining at Nice Matin we have found it to be a bit hit or miss. After a string of hits, even during the pandemic, Friday night was a bit of a miss. I made a reservation for 2 outside. I arrived on time, my husband was 10 minutes late. I was told I would not be seated until my party was complete. So with nowhere to wait I had to hover near the door and uncomfortably close to a gentleman dining. I mean, seriously? There was no run on tables at 8 PM outside with the temperature in the 50’s and a steady wind blowing up 79th St. Finally someone higher up than the hostess asked if he could help and I explained the situation and was soon seated. However- not a bit of attention from a waiter while I waited. I really would have loved a glass of wine but I guess I was also not to be served until my husband arrived. Poor RBG would be turning in her grave. I usually don’t complain but I really was made to feel unwelcome. Once my husband arrived we were given menus and water and finally were able to order a drink. The food when we did order was delicious but the service was subpar.

Food and service were both excellent. It was an enjoyable experience.

Outdoor dining is a must these days so a few more outdoor heaters would be helpful but all in all food to service was really, really good.

Recommend for outdoor dining option and good brunch menu. Reservations needed at busy times.

A joy to enjoy nuanced cooking that we don’t have to shop for, cook or clean-up after, for a reasonable price with a commitment to COVID safety. I’ve always liked Nice Matin but now it has become a neighborhood crown jewel.

Such a disappointment. This has always been a go to, but sadly no more. We arrived early and were told we couldn’t have a “4top” which was ok except we were seated adjacent to the bike lane. 15 mins later a couple arrived and were escorted to a 4top. I had reserved and requested a window seat but clearly they didn’t even look.
The meal: my companion ordered soup and a Brussels sprout salad. She got a weird salad type dish that was inedible it was so salty and a mystery. I had a plain chopped salad. The soup came as a second course and the steak tartare I had ordered was apparently the mysterious first course my friend was given. What a mess! We complained quietly and the offending dishes were removed from our bill but the Host didn’t even bother to come and apologize or to ask what was wrong.
Nice Matin, you have descended to a 1 Open Table star from a previous 5. Apparently there is a new chef. Not for long I hope.

Interesting and varied menu. My cheeseburger was really excellent, and my spouse’s salade nicoise was first rate as well.

The food and drinks took over an hour and the food quality wasn’t good either but the manager took care of us as he knew we waited so long

Wonderful family brunch outside at Nice Matin on a summary November Saturday. The staff was lovely--though we would have been happier if I saw that management had bottles of hand sanitizer and gloves for their use during these Covid times.

Food with beautiful presentation and even better taste

Aviram the wine director recommended an outstanding bottle. Excellent service all around.

Food was cold escargot was chewy not a great dining experience.
