We only had a couple of Tapas but those were rather expensive for the portion size (ex: we've all had dates wrapped in bacon, right? You only get 4 of those). I have to think other places in West Loop (of which there are hundreds) are a better value - ? The octopus was good, tender / tasty, but maybe not $18's of tender / tasty...
Good tapas--everything was very fresh and came out quickly. The mushrooms were particularly good--well flavored. Prompt, friendly service.
This is an OK restaurant, nothing special.
We had a nice meal at Nia on a Saturday night. We were able to get a table easily. The atmosphere is cozy and a little dim. The menu offered interesting choices and the food was tasty. The service was good. The food and drinks came quickly. You should not go to a small plates restaurant if you’re starving, but we were well satisfied. We could have done without the music, which was a little on the loud side.
Nia always is a treat. I love the small, shared plates so you can taste many items in one sitting. Our server was knowledgeable and very pleasant. I have also tried their 8 course tasting menu, so if you are looking for a more substantial meal, that is not to be missed. A true Gem on Randolph Street.
We liked the $35/per person for 7 courses offer. What I didn’t like is that my open table reservation at this restaurant was marked as a no-show.
Nia was the most amazing gem in the West Loop. Every dish was amazing, fantastic service and a wonderful night. Can’t wait to go again!
Nia's was perfect for our business team dinner - relaxed atmosphere, not too loud, excellent food and wine, and best of all, they could accommodate both our vegetarians and meat eaters with great options for both groups! We went tor the tasting menu, our server was fantastic in offering suggestions - and were rewarded with great variety and flavor in all the courses. The lamb meatballs, and hummus, are not to be missed - we're all still dreaming about them days later!
My friend and I visited Nia over the weekend to enduldge in our bacon wrapped dates addiction.
Nia has been our default meetup spot for several years. We appeciated the great friendly service we received Friday night and the food and drinks were very well prepared.
Looking forward to the next visit!

Nia reminds you of the European dining experience of Spain, France, and Italy combined. A petite restaurant with an amazing selection of wines and food ‘menu pairing’ options. The $35 eight course shareable menu is stellar! So much food with an amazing amount of flavor. Our server, Gaga, was top of the line. The entire restaurant is lit with a romantic feel. Similar to Europe you head down the marble stairs to the marbled bathrooms, which are also elegant. 10 thumbs up from our party go five!
We especially enjoyed the calamari - excellently prepared. There was background music at the right volume to be able to converse with ease. Attentive service, pleasant evening and tasty food. I wished the saganaki had been flaming - oh well. It didn't wreck my time there.
This restaurant does not meet one's expectation in a city/neighborhood so rich with first-rate restaurants. The decor is very old and tired--especially for a new restaurant.
What was most disappointing was that the restaurant sent a message indicating that our reservation has been canceled--but only after we had dines there. Not very comforting.
I had visited this restaurant for a date 3 years ago and had looked forward to returning ever since. Their octopus salad is phenomal, truly I have yet to be disappointed by anything I here. The service was warm, responsive, and really made our experience one to remember. I would recommend Nia to all my friends and family, an excellent choice for evening drinks, date night, or just a relaxed yet refined evening out.

The food was fantastic. The service was ok. I do not recommend the wine pairings - it was the same wines as the wine flight, which is ok, but it wasn’t paired with the dishes and came in cups. I would not describe it as Chicago’s most romantic restaurant.
My girlfriend and I went here for an early Valentine's Day and had the 8-course prix fixe tasting menu. It was divine, plus half-priced bottles of wine on Tuesday! The food was delicious, the wine was wonderful, and the service was great! We even had an appearance from Nia herself. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
I cannot rave more about the food and service at Nia. My friend and I went for restaurant week and the amount of choices they have to offer it fantastic. My friend is vegan and at first we were unsure if we were going to be able to make the shared tasting menu work but our server Antonia was quick to offer up solutions to make sure that we both had plenty of options and plenty to eat between a meat eater and a vegan sharing food. The food was delicious and since it was a slow night for them, Antonia took extra time to answer all of our questions and make sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be back! Particularly for the gnocchi and the bread pudding! Sooooo good!

Tried their testing menu as part of the restaurant week experience and everything was amazing. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. I've visited a few restaurants in the area and never thought to stop in before. My friend and I agree that we will definitely make time to come back. Also, if you try nothing else, I highly recommend the bread pudding. It was heaven.
Excellent choice for restaurant week, a great time to try something new. We will be back, for the food and the great service. We felt welcome the minute we walked in. Get the sangria, no matter what you do!!

It was first night of Restaurant Week and there was an 8-course tasting menu served family style, so this may not be representative of the everyday experience. But the 8 course categories were sufficiently varied that is was easy for all of us, including 1 vegetarian, to settle in dishes we were all very happy with. In addition, they accommodated our vegetarian with a half-portion of a ninth dish to balance out one of the meat dishes. Service was very friendly and efficient even though the place was full. Busing was also prompt, friendly and efficient. We found everything very fresh, flavorful and well presented. Cocktails were not exotic but reasonably priced and tasty. I found the ceviche particularly good---not aggressively sour and dominated by raw lemon or lime juice, but gentler, allowing the seafood flavor to come through. Salads were nicely dressed and balanced. First time there, and very pleased.
Service was great, and the sangria was delicious as well. Small plates was great to try a bunch of different options - good sizes and we had a good amount of leftovers. Hummus was really good, as well as the salmon, and lamb and feta meatballs. Great date spot - very cozy, romantic, and cute. Loved it!

Awesome Restaurant Week Menu! Eight courses with five enticing
choices within each course for only 33pp. Only catch is the whole table does it but we loved sharing the experience at such a great price and everyone loved the food selected and they made minor accommodation. All the dishes were super delicious and fresh. Loved the nia salad, hummus, caponata, scallops, meatballs and banana best. Loved the bottomless sangria for only 20pp and they were very generous with exceeding the hour and half time limit. The sangria was awesome, really enjoyed the cinnamon flavor and loved the red and white equally. Wiill definitely return.
The food was good. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for a table even with a reservation. The staff was apologetic but there was no real explanation given. It seemed like this is something that happens often here.
I’ve been a patron at this restaurant for several years. I always order the bacon wrapped dates and lamb meatballs.
This visit, the bacon was dried out and over cooked, and the dates were gummy and tasted old.
My friend and I did mention this to our server but she appeared indifferent.
When we arrived, I informed the hostess who was also out server that I’d made reservation via Open Table, she acknowledged and verified on her check in screen but instead of checking me in, she canceled my Open Table reservation.
I’m the end, with a mostly empty restaurant, our server asked my friend and I to move where we’d been sitting for most the evening to another location??? This was in effort to accommodate a group that could have been accommodated at a different section without disturbing us.
Before my friend agreed to moving, the server made the move decision for us and started moving our tableware.
The server attempted to make a means by bringing free dessert 15 minutes later; dessert we didn’t want and most of which wasn’t touched.
My friend and I typically tip 20% or more but reluctantly gave a tip of close to 10%.
We will find a new place to enjoy our get togethers...
Tapas menu very well done; tasty and balanced. Great service as well.
Three good is very consistently good. The service tonight was also very good. We generally like to go earlier when the noise level is lower, but our schedule didn't allow it.
Hubby and I went for date night. Friendly staff and great food. Even the bus person was very friendly. Really nice place!

I came here with a girlfriend before our night out on a Saturday. We had the Nia salad and grilled asparagus to start, followed by the scallops and lamb meatballs. For dessert, the creme brûlée. All of this was shareable and the proportions were just right. I felt like we had a great meal without feeling stuffed. I enjoyed my glass of Prosecco and my friend liked the Hey Girl made with St. Germain. The window view of busy Randolph Street by the bar was great and the staff couldn’t have been nicer! I met the owner Nia who told us about her Greek family and love for food growing up in Chicago. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date spot or night out with friends. I look forward to returning for one of their tasting events held 2 times a month. I highly recommend!
