Food was good but pricey compared to other similar restaurants with similar menus.
Exceptional staff, very knowledgeable in areas of both food and wine. Their menu changes frequently with fresh fish options and fantastic steaks. The owners Ying and Tom always make you feel welcome.
The picture attached is Giant Prawns with squash risotto. It was amazing.
The elk is fantastic and everything is very good
I made a same-day reservation on Open Table for Next Bistro, no problem. A Monday evening around 615p time of arrival.
My dining companion had never been and I hadn't been for a few years. We arrived
early as he really wanted to check out the extensive wine list and, of course, the menu selections, again very extensive and varied. We sat at the bar and requested the wine list.
My dining buddy nearly leapt out of his seat when he saw exactly what wines were offered at Next Bistro! 'WOW' is all he said and ran down the list to point out the general unavailability to the public of several of the selections. After studying the wine list for a few minutes, our server, Jennifer, took our wine order and we were off and running. Sublime, is the word to describe our wine selection and, on top of that, there was a great discount being offered on wine by the bottle at the time we were there. Good timing on our part, yes?
As far as food was concerned, I wanted a steak that night so I ordered their signature Rib-eye which was seared exactly as I ordered, with great side dishes. My dining companion had the seafood combo plate which he thoroughly enjoyed. All this time we were at the bar and our server and bar tender were very professional, prompt and entertaining. We topped off our experience with an incredibly rich and decadent slice of cheesecake, which we shared.
Again, 'WOW' was all we could say to describe this slice of heaven on Earth.
All in all, an evening well spent with great friends, new friends met while at Next Bistro and incredible wine and food.
Thank you to Next Bistro and we will return, soon.
The food is always amazing and the service is the best. We try different places when we travel and we both agree you can't match the food or service of Next. I would recommend to anyone that enjoys fresh fish. There is always something great to eat and drink at Next.
All the food was great except for the Caprese salad. It was the only thing disappointing about the meal. The halibut and seafood trio was incredible, and the chocolate soufflé was awesome! Great wine selection!
Quiet restaurant with quality food and excellent service. A little on the expensive side, but worth it. We drive 25 miles to go here once or twice a year. This is a real hidden gem. I highly recommend it.
Overpriced Fish Specials....not that special - Nice that we could get in on open table quickly and like the small/local feel of this restaurant.
A little slow on service. This isn't normal. They had a wine tasting going on this visit. Food was amazing. Once the owner realized we hadn't been waited on, a server came over immediately.
The noise level was fine in the back dining room. Service was good and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the pork chop which was not as moist and tender as expected. Would dine here again.
Nice find in Colleyville. Enticing menu with an abundant list of specials. Service was accomodating. We didn’t have desert and next time we go would leave room to indulge.
Two of the three dishes, the stuffed shrimp and the scallops were served barely warm and not hot. The shrimp scampi was served hot and was as described on the menu. Frankly for the cost of the meal - 2 salads, 1 soup, 3 entrees, 3 waters over $130.00 - there are much better choices out there. Sorry, I'd heard great things about this local venue - maybe it was just an off night because it was obvious several couples that were there are regulars.
Food is always delicious and our waiter was very attentive. We were early and the back room was empty...wish we would have been given a larger table...got very crowded when the food was served.
Great scotch selection, and good, varied menu. Francois provided outstanding service.
Wonderful locally owned restaurant in Colleyville. The team of waiters and bartenders are 2nd to none. Menu is updated often and is creative but complete with standards as well. Wine list is excellant!
NEXT, as always, provided great food and a great experience!
Johnny is the absolute best waiter always engaging, informative and I’d recommend asking for him.
Great food great people and great owner and chef.
We had dinner on Valentines Day and they had a price fixed menu, which we knew ahead of time. Each course was served promptly and was delicious
My husband and I had different items, so we could taste more of the menu, and we both agreed that the flavors were intricate yet subtle and were very impressed with the presentation and taste of all of our food. Their wine list is impressive and we found a wonderful Paso Robles Zinfandel to accompany our meal. We love Next and thank them for their excellence.

We’re high fans of Next Bistro and will be returning every chance we get
It was a wonderful Dinning experience!
Highly recommend Next Bistro!
Over cooked steak - well versus medium as requested. Waiter who lacked personality. Amazing wine list and nice atmosphere. Has potential with right cooking and wait staff to be a great restaurant.
Delicious food. The pork chop was the best...and biggest ever! Service was friendly and caring!
We had a wonderful evening.. the food was terrific as usual and the service was great too
We thoroughly enjoyed our Friday evening dinner at Next with friends! The food was very well prepared and our party especially enjoyed the lamb chops and the French onion soup! Service was unhurried and our waiter made a fantastic wine recommendation from the very extensive (and pricey) wine list. The soufflés with a glass of champagne were the perfect finish to the meal. We will definitely be back!
Overall, the food tasted good. The service, however, was absolutely terrible. Typically when food is served undercooked, it’s gladly remedied. At next bistro, you’re made to feel as though you must argue to prove your food wasn’t delivered the way you ordered it. Poor service. Poor delivery. Never going back.
The food, as usual, was spectacular. Our service this night was not! We waited quite a while to have our server John come over and then it took quite a long time for our drinks to arrive. When we asked about the board specials he only named the soup and the fish and layer on we discovered there were many other options.( The board was in the walkway and It would have been difficult to go over and read it) We should not have had to go over anyway. I understand they were busy but this is not their usual service.
Always an amazing experience.
Although the food was good, the Dover Sole was overpriced (54.00). Also, was surprised to find they charged us for the bread that they offered to us. Have never seen this. The server was very nice and infomative but empty plates were left on the table much too long after we were done. More expensive than Bobs Steak and Chop House and not nearly as nice ambience.
We eat here at least once a week and it never disappoints.
I took my aunt to Next Bistro for lunch and it was great. They didn’t have a salad in the menus but chef whipped one up with no problem. Service was great and we will be back!
Reservation was for 8 pm and we were seated on time. Took our waiter 15 min to come introduce himself and another 25 min after that to receive our cocktail. We did order a very nice bottle of wine which he immediately opened and tried to serve us after we told him to open with dinner so we could enjoy our cocktails. Food however was great they overlapped the first two courses... hurried service. We keep trying to give Next a chance but it continues to disappoint. Wish it was like when it first opened. It was FABULOUS.
We go to this restaurant for about 4 times a year for special occasions and we were looking forward to taking our friends on New Years Eve and impressing them. We were very disappointing this time around. They had a three course pre-fix menu for New Yearrs eve and we were at the restaurant over 3.5 hours to get our food. We watched a table next to us clear two times during our sitting. the kitchen should be more efficient with a pre-fixed menu. We expressed our frustration to the wait staff and they admitted being over extended and covering far too many tables on this special night. Not only did we have long delays in service but when our food was finally served it was cold. I have had slow service at the restaurant before but this is the first time we received cold food. We shared our disappointment with the Chef and Owner and she was very defensive and this added to our disappointment for the evening. Being a local citizen, I always try to patronize local establishments to support their success. It may be awhile before I forget this negative experience and return.
Service was sooooo slow. It took a long time to get our pre-dinner drinks. The waiter didn’t come back to get our entree order for quite some time. Also it was a preset menu rather than their standard menu. The food was terrible. The tables were not arranged for private dining so it was very loud in the restaurant. Terrible way to spend New Years Eve.
Food was excellent and service was good. Only negative was the length of time to get a soufflé. Supposedly first soufflé didn’t turn out correctly so another had to be made.
Great food...escargot is superb. Next Bistro is a wonderful gathering place and one where we have taken our out of town guests. It’s a wonderful find in Colleyville.
Next was great on Christmas Eve. We took friends who had never been there and they loved it. For the Market Fish they had both Dover Sole and Grouper and they both were great. We used their wine list and found an excellent Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. I have the Lobster & Shrimp Pot Stickers and they were wonderful.
The reviews are all over the board. Had to check this one out personally. Food, service, ambiance, were all very good. The extensive wine list runs slightly over 2x retail and is outstanding. US Cabernet and blends are the major offerings. ROW also represented. Hard to stay under $100 per bottle. There were a few, very good, well priced specials under $100. The lamb osso bucco was excellent. The plank salmon excellent as well. The side of risotto- underwhelming. Very broad menu with choices to satisfy any taste. Clearly among the best, if not the best, in Colleyville and surrounding area.
Dinner with friends to celebrate the holidays. Two of us had the Niman Ranch double pork chops in Dijon sauce with Aleppo pepper, one had the red snapper and one the cedar plank salmon. The bartender is terrific! We finished with excellent soufflés. Always good food and great service from Francois.
Server was inattentive and seamed to have a problem with the kitchen. Prime Rib have no flavor sent it back. They also need to have their heating system repaired.
We are never disappointed & love tinkering at Next Bristo & love the wait staff of Francios!
