Sous-Vide Niman Ranch Double Pork Chop
with Turkish Aleppo pepper and Dijon mustard sauce
Always very good food and service. This is a gem in the area.
Great evening. The food was delicious as always, excellent service and wine selection. It was a last minute decision to go out to dinner after returning from vacation. Perfect way to end our time together. Next is such a gem to have so close to our home.
Wonderful experience. Food was outstanding.
Attentive hostess and waiter. Excellent cocktails and meal.
We shared our favorite restaurant with our daughter from out of town. She remembered the building when it was Taco Bueno. We enjoyed every bite. Thanks
It wasn't bad it just wasn't great. It was like they just missed the mark. The only thing that was absolutely delicious was the cocktail.
I love Next. This is my go to when I want to impress my guests. For that reason I will give this review 5 stars.
But on this particular evening, things were really off. For this caliber of restaurant, and from previous experience at Next, I have some expectations when I’m paying this much for dinner. I don’t expect an attitude if I ask my wine to be decanted. I don’t expect that I will have to ask for new silverware. I expect that all meals will be served at the same time. I expect a reasonable amount of time between courses. 40 minutes is not a reasonable amount of time. In fact, we were offered a dessert menu before our meals were served. I do not expect that all plates will be cleared from the table when one guest is still eating.
I’m sure this was a fluke and it will still be my go to restaurant for a special night out. From past experience, I doubt this will be a recurring problem.
Girls night out
Always a great experience.
All the food and drinks we tried were delightful - unique twists on classics. Place is a seafood restaurant that intersects with steakhouse Italian Bistro. Our particular server was poor. Very slow and inattentive. The other server was hustling for his tables. Ours was MIA during peak dinner service. There was about a 30 minute gap between salads and dinner being served. We asked the hostess what the issue was. Said kitchen was busy - however the good server was getting plates out right and left. Our server barely acknowledged us during time. Then when we got our food, we could tell it had been sitting awhile. Definitely go and try the food and hope our service was just a fluke.
When ordering cocktails they should come out before your salads but that did not happen. Condiments for coffee never came and coffee was cold. Had to ask several times for the dessert.
A little over 50 min wait for the food which is too long. Food was good but not great. Wine was too overpriced..a 4x markup. The craft cocktails were the best part of the evening. Overall, for the price, I'd rather go to Perry's or Clay Pigeon in Ft Worth where the food would be better and I'd pay less.
My wife and I have not been to Next Bistro in a number of years, and based on our recent dining experience, that was a mistake as Next should be on our short list of go-to restaurants in Colleyville.
We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and had a good knowledge of the menu and specials. We passed on the appetizers this trip, but we plan to sample one or two on our next visit.
We decided to get started with a bottle of wine, and I have to say the wine list is extensive, bordering on intimidating. Few restaurants anywhere in the metroplex can match the Wine Spectator Magazine award winning Next cellar.
For dinner, my wife had the chef’s special fish of the day which was red snapper served with beet risotto. I had the seafood trio served with truffle mashed potatoes and vegetables, and both entrees were outstanding. No doggie bags for us.
We finished our wine with dinner and decided to finish the evening with coffee and a perfectly prepared warm peach cobbler a la mode. Going to try the soufflé next time.
They have a small kitchen and Saturday night is very busy, so don’t be in a hurry as each entrée is individually prepared and worth a brief wait.
We will be returning to Next Bistro very soon.
Excellent food and service.
We've been to Next several times and the food is generally very good but on Saturday, the kitchen was overtaxed in the preparation of the food. Crab cakes were overdone as was the bread we ordered. The sides for the tenderloin were dry and void of flavor. The server was a bit aloof and inattentive.
Next was recommended to us by friends. We chose to celebrate our anniversary there. We could not have been more disappointed. We were seated at a table next to a group of six people that were very loud. Goodbye ambience. Our server was also their server and he focused on that group and pretty much ignored us. Never came to ask how our food was until we were ready for check. Shrimp appetizer was very good, but my Caesar salad was awful. I sent it back. My ravioli was excellent, but my husband’s halibut was dry and overcooked. Even though I had noted on our reservation that it was our anniversary, there was no acknowledgement of that at all. I would not recommend this place
Great place for Date Night. Huge wine Menu! Great service, great food!
We wanted a place with really good food, and supported Restaurant Week. This was the perfect combination for us. This great restaurant has a cozy feel, and a great wine selection.
Colleyville has some good places to eat, I think I would put this on top for a really good dining experience…
This was the first time going and I would go back again. We went to celebrate my sisters birthday and the service and food was wonderful. We did the Restaurant Week menu and would do it again.
Food was excellent. Service was good but slow. 2 hour meal
Amazing food and service
Wonderful service. Couldn’t ask for better. Great selection of Bourbons.
This was the second time having a very nice lunch at Next Bistro. High quality, nice environment and great service. We’ll be back. Go for the fish and chips!
The size of the lamb chops was shockingly meager. Really one bite per chop and there were four. It seemed they compensated for restaurant week by tiny portions.
The food at this restaurant was amazing. We started with burnt pork belly, then had sea bass and the 5 cheese lobster mac and cheese. All was amazing. Great wine list and dessert menu as well.
Outstanding. Meghan was exceptional.
Always exceptional food and service. The mushroom risotto was fantastic. Nice quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
Our waiter, Maude did and excellent job. Very helpful with wine selections and well as meal knowledge. Made our dining experience pleasant and fun.
The service was very very slow, the food was good but not as good as we’ve had before at Next. And when the server ask us if we want any dessert and we haven’t even been served our entrée yet, you know it’s a bad server night.
The food is amazing. The place is quiet and nice inside. The wine list is incredible. My service last night was very poor. It is expensive for small portions but beyond delicious !! I like to tell friends about it. I did have a bad waitress last night. The times before it was fine.
First timer. Loved the escargots bourginion and brie appetizers. Excellent manhattans and larger than I expected. My husband had shrimp on truffle mash potatoes. Maud our waitperson was excellent and she said everything is made in house. If you live in Colleyville, this is a must. We don't but will come again!
The only thing good about this restaurant is the atmosphere, but that was quickly ruined by the extremely slow and poor (borderline rude) service and mediocre food. This was our first and last time going to this establishment. I hope others don't have my experience, but I won't ever be going back there!
Wonderful as always
Wine list here is extensive and fun to explore. Our Server was great but the food was not very good. Ordered 2 steaks and 2 pasta dishes. The pasta was good but the steaks we ordered were not seasoned at all. The one steak was under cooked had to send it back for more grill time. It was better but still very little flavor. Sides were not very flavorful either. Prices we felt were comparable to better known steakhouse nearby but the quality of the food just was not there to support $$$. Sorry to say we like to support local business but this one I think we will skip next time.
Excellent meal. Sounds boring but the chicken was absolutely fantastic!!
