Next Crab Cakes
chipotle remoulade and Sriracha sauce
with Japanese Kabocha squash risotto
Nice variety on the menu for our group. Visually pleased with the plates, vegetables were a little cold but overall entree was tasty and enjoyable. Service started out very good but as the courses went on, server may have gotten busy on the opposite side and did not bring the port we ordered with dessert or return to check on us until everyone was completely finished so that was not ideal. Overall we would try it again.
Overall, not a good visit. The service was quite slow, especially considering it was more empty than full. Took so long to even get serving spoon for the sides that they were cold. The food was lacking in seasoning, even just basic salt & pepper. We asked for the leftovers to be boxed up, but somehow we were still missing food they never packed. Very disappointing for the fact that we spent $341 for 3 people...
Ever since this restaurant opened it has been one of our very favorite places. Sadly, the last 3 times the food has not measured up to what the cost is. I never mind paying top dollar but I expect the food to match. And, this was the third time my girlfriend's meal was wrong, and this last time, when she asked if she could substitute one vegetable for another, they said yes never letting us know we would be charged for the substitution. I should have argued the point but didn't. I still recommend this place as it has a very nice, quiet atmosphere, great wine list, and most of the time food and service. Again, you ask for top dollar on your food and wine, then you should offer top food to match and if you charge for a substitution, let us know!
I loved the burger! It was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Service was excellent. The selections on the menu were varied and you had many choices which all sounded so good. It was hard to choose. They do have a good variety of wines and spirits. Although not my thing I could appreciate the selections they had. The restaurant doesn’t look like much on the outside but it was lovely on the inside. A great lunch spot if you find yourself in Collyville.
Best bartenders Josh & V. Food is delicious. Shared the beef crostini’s, Niman pork chop and Yings new carrot cake. Both meat dishes we’re outstanding. The cake had a lot going on - the frosting helped cut a bit of that. The souffles are always fab!
The Next Bistro is very special. The menu is broad and features many interesting and delicious international and American delights. The food was cooked to perfection. The wine list is incredible. The wait staff was attentive. I highly recommend the Next Bistro to anyone who wants something special for dinner.
The food is always spot on delicious!
Great menu and the food was awesome. The wine is a little over priced (compared to other high end restaurants), but we found a nice CAB by the glass and that worked fine.
Always a great dinner/experience. Food, service, everything...worth every penny!
We have been going here for the past year and a half. All I can say is the it is excellent.
As always, AMAZING food! We love Next Bistro. Not only do they have a wide variety of delicious fine dining options to choose from, but they also have top notch staff to take care of you as well. If you are overwhelmed by all your choices, no worries the wait staff is more than happy to give you some recommendations. If you are looking for a place where you can dine in a quite, peaceful setting to enjoy great conversation over fabulous food, Next Bistro hits all the checkmarks. You will not be disappointed.
One of our favorite spots for Date Night or Special Occasions!
Just excellent in every way. My wife and I spent a much needed date night there and it exceeded our expectations yet again! Fabulous food (duck this time) and wonderful scotch (Glen Scotia and Old Pulteny) with great wine made for a perfect night. It is wonderful to know that such a great low-key restaurant exists so close to our home in Colleyville! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
This place has definitely gone down hill post COVID. With this being our first date in months, we were so disappointed in the service we received. For starters, we ordered two bottles of wine that they were allegedly out of. When my fiancé commented and asked what they had in stock since we were 0 for 2 on ordering, our waiter’s mentality towards us shifted dramatically. We ordered a pasta dish to split between our three appetizers and the main course, and it took over an hour to get this mushroom ravioli dish. This much time between appetizers and second course is unacceptable. But, magically, when my fiancé started ordering cheaper wine, they found the first bottle we ordered behind the bar. Having said that, it took an hour between appetizers and the second course, so we were basically out of wine by the time the main course came. We ordered three appetizers, so we also split the main entree after the second course, which was the seafood trio. To pair, we ordered a side of Brussel sprouts - they did not arrive when the seafood trio came out. Because we split the entree it was not a lot of food. Thus, they had to get our side out quickly, which they couldn’t do properly because it obviously wasn’t prepared and put in with our order. To compensate, they brought out plain steamed Brussel sprouts, and they simply dumped garlic on top of them. They were not sautéed, and frankly, it was pretty obvious they didn’t prepare them properly - not okay for a $12 side. Finally, when we got our check, they charged more for the wine than what was listed on the menu. Our dinner took THREE HOURS, and tables seated well after us left well before us - our waiter was clearly sending us a message. They were not busy since no one is at full capacity. There were plenty of empty tables. Not a smart move in a post COVID service industry. After the wine charge stunt, $300 with tip, terrible service, and mediocre food, we won’t be returning.
We went for restaurant week. The menu was very good. The wine selections was excellent. The service was extremely good. I would highly recommend. We will be going back for sure.
Food portions were small and tasteless. The snapper arrived as a small piece with 6 bites of various vegetables. More plate than food. My husband’s salmon was a single small strip. The spinach pasta looked delicious but was bland in taste. Our waiter was good but the other staff was over-attentive, wishing to remove dishware before we were finished. Our experience was during restaurant week, when a 3-course meal is $50. We didn’t enjoy our meals that evening.
The chocolate soufflé was delicious.
Service was excellent. I had the ribeye. It was very good but not as good as I have had it in the past there.
The food was great except for my beet risotto was not to my taste. My snapper was excellent and the pork belly appetizer was a big hit.
The bar was a big hit. Everyone had excellently prepared drinks and the portions were good.
Our Waiter was first class. Sorry I cannot remember his name (maybe the bar was to good) but would highly recommend his excellent service and advice at the bar.
Next Bistro is 3.4 miles from my in laws house so now i cant wait to go visit them again and stop at my new favorite Next Bistro.
Great place. Great whiskey selection and the bartender is a master of the Old Fashion. Food is always outstanding with lots of diversity.
Great food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere
It was great as usual
This is our favorite go-to neighborhood finer dining restaurant. You can rely on everything being consistently excellent and always feeling welcome and comfortable.
We love this restaurant, and have never been disappointed with any dish that they’ve prepared for us. We took some friends to dinner this evening who have never dined there before and they just kept saying how wonderful it was. They also said, they would definitely be dining there again!
Amazing place. My very first visit, beautiful ambience, good wine choices, great service
It was great to see the staff finally wearing masks but our table was less than 6 feet from the woolens next to us.
Great every time we go
First time dining here and it was a fantastic meal. Can't wait to return.
They honored our request for a table not in the middle of the room, it was separate and more private. The food was excellent!!
A local jewel. We had a lovely anniversary meal. Will definitely be back.
I didn't care for anything, but my husband really liked his food. Devon was our server and he was AMAZING! I would go back just to be seated in his area.
The staff and food here never disappoint. Great wine list .... do not overlook going here !!
Great venue, great food and wonderful people!
Food is always exceptional. Wait staff were helpful and vet polite. A bit chilly in the restaurant.
Great food, great service and amazing wine list. Always a favorite
Fabulous lunch in a beautiful room. Nothing else like it in the mid-cities.
One of the best restaurants in the metroplex by far
AC was blowing right on us and we sat for an hour before our salads arrived. Food was good but overall experience wasn’t as expected.
Always an amazing meal at Next Bistro. The summer additions are all worth trying. Get the watermelon salad while you can.
Quiet, intimate atmosphere with a well-stocked bar. The food was quite good, but the lobster-truffle mac-n'-cheese was thin and uninviting. It's a good bar but I prefer Canadian Club and they didn't have any at the time we visited; no biggie, they did have a fine stock of Irish whiskey. I do recommend the appetizers, they were all tasty. The Osso Bucco was well prepared and a lot of food for the $$. A nice, quiet, upscale restaurant that won't break the bank.
