The celebrated Edinburgh cocktail bar Hey Palu, renowned for its devotion to the art of aperitivo, has take over Next Door in the Cayman Islands, marking a bold and elegant new chapter in the region’s hospitality scene.
We’re not here to serve another frozen daiquiri, even if our (Champagne Colada is to die for)” says Alex co-founder of Hey Palu. “We’re here to introduce Cayman to the beauty, balance and elegance that is the ritual of the aperitivo. The aperitivo happy hour isn’t just a drink; it’s a moment.”
Expect crisp, house-seasoned snacks, Italian-style nibbles, and a rotating selection of small plates made for grazing and lingering. From burratina to salumi selection to truffle ravioli and zucchini fritti.

My wife and I went on a Thursday night with a Jazz Trio playing. The band was great and the place has a very cool vibe. There are lots of cocktails options and the staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend for a fun night out.

The advertised happy hour snacks were a tiny bowl of soggy nuts and another tiny bowl of 4 stale potato chips. My wife ordered a Paloma cocktail and it was horrible. We did not drink it and the server never asked us about it. Too bad. This place used to be really good.

Hi Conrad, Thank you for your review -- I'm so sorry to hear that this was your experience! We noted with our kitchen that the complimentary Aperitivo snacks were not up to par -- no one wants to receive or serve soggy snacks. And as a classic cocktail, your Paloma should've been delicious, not disappointing. I've already followed up with staff to dial that in and to be more diligent in checking in on guests as this experience could've been easily fixed! Please let me know if you decide to stop in again, so that we can show you what our guest's usual experience at Next Door has been and to apologize in person. We don't want this to be the flavor left in your mouth. Thank you again for your feedback.

Max, Raz, Darren, Nikita, Ben, Megan. All of these individuals are amazing and very kind! They all make wonderful drinks, and their hospitality is superb!!! I would recommend them all!! The atmosphere at this establishment is very welcoming! They will definitely have me coming back in the future!
