Ambience was great. Enjoyed the wood fireplace, the seating was cozy and the service, thanks to our server Laura, was absolutely subperb!!! Our entrees were good, but portions were small for the money spent. Wines were of excellent quality and dessert was very good. The menu was limited, but seemed to have one choice of each category. Overall, we would like to return, but will watch for an improved menu for red meats, as we don't eat sushi. We were celebrating an anniversary and enjoyed the ambiance.

WE had reserved dinner as a late Valentine's day dinner for the two of us. We were seated in a semi private area that we had never experienced before and it was very nice until thios party of five women were seated and they were very very loud which was annoying. The tables were in anarea that had new carpeting so seating we had to pull the table out in order to get into the cute little banket sofas. These had pillows which was a nice touch but the backsare pretty low so if you like a seat with a back to lean on this is not the table for you. About the food what can I say everything was excellent. And the server even had the kitchen break our salad into two portions since we were spliting it. Except for the noise from those ladies everything was excellent. Evan the waitress was not going to let us tip her extra which we did but she was not expecting it. Such great service! We will be back!

We had a lovely booth with a view of the sushi bar. The only issue was the seats of the booth were high compared to the height of the table which made eating a bit awkward. Another issue with this type of seating was since I’m under 5’2” my feet could not touch the ground and it was uncomfortable.

The service was pleasant, atmosphere was cool, and the quality of the food was fantastic. The lobster tail however was extremely small and no pick was provided. Overall a must try, just don’t get the lobster!

Prix Fixe Valentine’s dinner experience was awful. It took an hour to get our first course and one drink. It took another hour to get our third course which came out before our second course. Terrible service. Great food.

My visit to Next Door by Wegmans presented a series of highs and lows that left me with mixed feelings. The Yuzu Yellowtail Crudo, while boasting a good flavor profile, was overwhelmingly acidic, lacking the necessary balance to make the dish shine. The signature sushi, albeit slightly above supermarket quality, still fell short of the expectations set by its “sushi grade” label, leaving room for improvement in terms of freshness and taste. The dining experience took a downturn with the service speed, as we found ourselves waiting 40 minutes for the next course. When the Grilled Red Snapper finally arrived, it was well-prepared and enjoyable, a definite highlight of the meal. However, the accompanying marinated Asian vegetables did not live up to the same standard; they were undercooked, lacking in both flavor and character, which was disappointing for a dish that had potential to complement the snapper beautifully. Dessert further echoed the sentiment of the evening, being of supermarket grade. This was an underwhelming conclusion to a meal from a restaurant associated with the Wegmans brand, known for its quality and attention to detail. In summary, Next Door by Wegmans delivers a mixed dining experience. While there are glimpses of culinary skill and quality, the overall meal was marred by inconsistencies in food preparation and pacing. There’s potential for a great dining experience, but improvements are needed to elevate the food and service to meet the expectations set by the Wegmans name.

My birthday was Valentine's Day, so I made reservations three weeks before, anticipating crowded restaurants. When we showed up, the restaurant wasn't bustling, and I was told they had many cancellations, so I was expecting quick service. I was very disappointed with the Valentine's Day menu portions. I had dined at the restaurant before, expecting the usual reasonable portions. The wait time between courses was also very long. Again, the restaurant was quiet, so I expected quicker service. Although I brought my cake, and expressed excitement over having it there, the waiter forgot to bring it out at the end of the dinner, so needless to say, that excitement was replaced with wanting just to leave and have a real dinner at McDonald's. My bill came up to almost $300. Not worth it!
