Overall, the food felt overprices cause it wasn’t anything special. I am someone who typically spends $25-$40 on a meal when i go out to a restaurant and this time i spent about $30 on my meal and it literally felt like a waste of money. Food wasn’t that good to me. The calamari appetizer was good though
Overall this is a great restaurant. We had the hushpuppies and vegetarian jambalaya. My husband had regular jambalaya and he said it was dried out and the rice was hard. For dessert we had bananas foster bread pudding which was one of the best things I have ever had in my life! The courtyard was very enjoyable, especially during covid.
The food was underwhelming and our server was making it obvious they didn’t want to be there. He forgot to put in our appetizers so we never got those. I wouldn’t give this place another chance.
Best Crab Legs and food in town! Wonderful Thanksgiving choice! Nice ambience on the patio. TV was in a central area!
Thanksgiving menu was really pretty good - turkey was outstanding! Ordered oysters bienville and they were really disappointing - would not get again!
Excellent service and good food. We dined here during the pandemic, and they had ample outdoor courtyard dining spots. Recommendations and attentiveness from our waitress Jackie D. were superb.
We were quite disappointed. The restaurant was not busy enough for the drinks to go dry before being refilled, in fact mt son didn't get his drink at all. The $40 steaks were all overcooked - we asked for medium rare and got well done. The boiled crab legs were also overcooked and the shells half empty. My husband ordered a duck breast and got an overcooked duck leg quarter. For a party of 9, the bill was almost $500.00 + manditory 20% gratuity and it was NOT worth it. We won't be returning.
Upon arrival we were greeted and after we where sat we ordered the calamari will tasted really good I ordered puppy's voodoo I preferred a tab bit stronger drink considering the ingredients I had the shrimp creole which for almost 30 dollars wasn't the best tasting it tasted like a ketchup based sauce I understand the sugar is to cut the acidity but to sweet for my taste my girlfriend had the boil crawlers shrimp corn and potatoes it was a mere tease for price it wasn't bad but wasn't the best either.
Loved the crab cake Napoleon! So delicious. Service was great. Timely but not rushed. Friendly and helpful! Highly recommend.
The stuffed mushrooms were delicious, but you only get 2 for 9.00 ekkkk.....Other than that the fried shrimp house salad was so good along with tasty gator bites!
Great service the the host was beyond friendly and helpful. An excellent dining experience.
Service was Excellent and Food was great. Always a favorite of mind.
Our waitress Angel was phenomenal! The food was extremely good and the patio area was New Orleans perfection.
The appetizer was not hot and the food was not good as expected. Our server was inattentive and seemed ready to go should’ve just called in.
First time visiting here and bought a Groupon. So glad we did. It was a very good experience. Excellent menu, food quality and service. Next time we visit New Orleans we will try them again for sure!
Everything was very nice from the hostess to the waiter. The food was very delicious and it didn’t take long to be brought out. We will be back!
The staff was extremely nice. First time here and we will be back. Food was very fresh and delicious.
Absolutely fabulous - food our server Will was the best - enver rushed , steady pace, delicious food, every request was granted with a smile.
Absolute must stop whenever we are in NoLa. Best ettouffe in the quarter. Great classic drinks and a peaceful quiet atmosphere. Beautiful courtyard.
We had lunch here before heading to the airport, it was the perfect end to our trip. Our server was fantastic, she was very friendly and helpful. The ambiance was great, we were seated outside by the fountain. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! The portion size was spot on, I was stuffed by the time I finished the 4 bowls. I would totally recommend eating here.
We checked in and chatted with two different employees and we were seated in the back corner of the patio. There was a flurry of action, we were one of about 8 tables on the patio with what looked like four servers scurrying about. After what felt like 10 minutes without being greeted by anyone and with everyone avoiding eye contact with us ( it could have been 5, it always feels longer when you are waiting) I started a timer on my phone.
After another 8 minutes and 31 seconds went by without so much as a look from anyone I went back to the host stand and asked if we had a server. The supervisor gave me the usual "well did you seat yourself?" and I had informed him that we had not. He came out to make sure we had one of their table tents to scan the menu (the identifier that we had in fact been sat by their staff) and said someone would be out shortly. At this point, if you know you have a guest who has been ignored maybe YOU should grab our drink order which solves two problems. Your obviously busy staff needs some support help and your somewhat jilted guest will get the service they sat down expecting.
Instead, we watched the supervisor walk around to three out of four servers and chat with them and then he started bussing empty tables.... Your focus should be on the guests who are still here especially if they have been ignored for 15 minutes, not the ones who have left already. I would be less vicious in this review if their average dinner plate wasn't $30. I know that being a great server is harder than people think but it makes it doubly difficult when your supervisor is just a glorified busser.
Our server (Angel) was an actual delight but she and she was working as hard as humanly possible but you can only do so much with two hands. The food was good, once we got service it was great but watching dining staff crash and burn is not what I would consider a good show with dinner.
Ben Wisdom was a wonderful host! Friendly, informative, and fun! If you've read other reviews about this particular company, listen when you read GO HUNGRY. I have a huge appetite and couldn't finish everything. You may pay a little more for this excursion, but you will not leave hungry unless you are picky or just odd. We recommend this deal to anyone going to New Orleans as it's a great way to taste many different items without buying a bunch of full meals. The only negative thing was we didn't get our free bottle of sauce, which I don't know if that was our fault or Ben's. Either way, we LOVED this deal.
Good food and great atmosphere, However the server was not attentive at all . Barely checked on us . Seemed impatient
We had really high expectations for this place after getting a recommendation from a friend - our server was very sweet, but the food and drinks were sub par. We ordered a creole gimlet and a Margherita to start, and the Margherita was fine. The gimlet very clearly lacked a decent pour of gin, and basically tasted like lime juice and soda. Not a huge deal except for the fact that the drinks alone were $12 each...we moved on to apps and ordered the calamari and crab stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms were fantastic in flavor, but we found an oyster shell in one of them. The calamari had a ton of flavor but was soggy because it was served on a bed of pepperocini that was mostly juice. We also found a shell of something or other in the calamari. Moving on to the entrees, we were really excited for the creole pasta with shrimp, chicken, and sausage and the taste of New Orleans (cups of étouffée, jambalaya, red beans and rice, shrimp creole). The creole pasta came out nice and hot, but the red beans and rice and étouffée came out almost cold, and the étouffée was so salty and lacked so much flavor that it was inedible. Upon further inspection, my pasta had not a single piece of shrimp, and only one piece of chicken in the entire dish. We sent the taste of New Orleans back and declined to order anything instead since we’d not had much luck with the other dishes we’d gotten. Overall pretty disappointing on the food front, but the staff was great. The general manager greeted us on the way in, and the host was very accommodating. The restaurant was beautiful, and we enjoyed where we sat. For the price point I feel like you’d have much better luck literally anywhere else.
I wouldn’t give it a star if it wasn’t required. We came here to celebrate the end of my baby shower weekend, and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my 14 years of living in New Orleans. Glasses of water were poured when we sat, and all had things floating in them so we had to have that fixed immediately. We ordered a round of drinks, 3 of the 7 came out wrong. Server kept saying she heard it wrong, fine. Finally took the drinks back to get them fixed. They came back, still weren’t right but we left it alone. Ordered appetizers, some were decent, while my boyfriend had ordered 6 raw oysters, received them chargrilled. We let her know. She took those back. He never got his raw oysters! We reminded her multiple times and yet he still never got them. After waiting at least a half an hour for her to come back and take our entree order, she did. About 20-30 mins after ordering entrees, she comes out and tells my bf they don’t have the entree that he ordered. So he orders something different. Our entrees come out and it was AWFUL. 3 pastas were supposed to have chicken, shrimp, and sausage. One had NO MEAT AT ALL, one had only chicken and sausage, and one only had shrimp and one piece of chicken! Two were crab cake entrees and they were dry, bland, and had SCARCE crab meat in them. We asked for the Redfish Pontchatrain to be blackened, it wasnt and instead of fixing it, the server argued with us about it. My bf had the blackened redfish and it was super dry. I asked another server walking by for a side of remoulade for the dry crab cakes, and her response? Screaming in the waiter station loud enough for the ENTIRE DINING ROOM TO HEAR HER, “THATS NOT MY TABLE”.
We finally ask for a manager to address everything and what does he do? Cuts us off before letting us explain everything that has gone on. The level of unprofessionalism and the lack of interest in serving edible food, is ASTOUNDING. they should truly be ashamed. Amber, find a new job.
Food was amazing, will definitely go back next visit. Perfect location.
We had a dinner party and the accommodations were wonderful. Lovely ambiance and the service was excellent.
We were very pleased. Showed up early for our reservation but was seated right away. Their signature hurricane was the best one I had all week. Food was great. Large portions and wife said was the best friend catfish she ever had and she loved the fried sweet potatoes that came with it.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Would absolutely return.
Great night out!
Amazing food and service
The raw and charbroiled oysters were delicious. The steak and chicken were bland and the vegetable sides were greasy. Chicken was greasy too.
Four of us showed for happy hour after having brunch there the day before. Brunch was good but when we returned for happy hour we sat down and then 3 other couples sat down after us. We were ignored by all staff while others all received food, drink, SERVICE. After 20 minutes I inquired to the head bartender and he mumbled he would see what he could do, no apology, nothing. Another 5 minutes being ignored and we left. Don't understand as we enjoyed the day before and tipped them very well realizing the times we are living in. They fell flat on this day, highly disappointing.
very impressed, this will be one of my go to restaurants in new orleans from now on
Best crab cakes I've ever had! But more vegetarian options would have been nice for my friend.
Food was not good at all and very overpriced. Server didn’t even offer to take it off the bill either and all I had was about 3 bites, couldn’t even eat it.
The service was slow. Food was okay.
We didn’t know what to expect, but we’re pleasantly surprised. From happy hour, to Nick, to our waitress, the entire staff was nice, quick and efficient.
Our meals were both excellent. Thank you for a great dinner and drinks!

Food lacked flavor.
