Nevedya is Food for the Spirit, an organic plant-focussed restaurant & cafe in the Dandenong Ranges outside Melbourne. We serve wholefood vegetarian and vegan world cuisine with flavours from India, Asia, the Middle East, Europe and beyond. Our ingredients are healthy, ethical, organic, seasonal and showcase produce from local farms and growers.

Run by husband and wife duo Daniel Rigos and Shakti Iyer, it is an experience to bring you back to your true self. The food is a cleansing experience of reconnecting to nourishment at its untainted roots.

All the food is designed and created by female head chef Shakti Iyer with intention to nurture, transform and heal.

Inspired by Indian restaurants, Ayurveda and our travels throughout the world expect to taste our famous Ayurvedic khichadi, Sri Lankan masala dosa, world fusion tapas, plant-based all day breakfasts and our amazing organic and healthy desserts!

Nevedya is hands done our favourite restaurant/cafe in the Melbourne area. We have been blessed to live only a short drive away and have frequented this incredible venue throughout our time here in the hills the past 2 years. The very BEST quality of food you will find, with locally, ethically sourced produce that has been prepared and masterfully plated with the utmost intention, care and devotion to the craft. The ambience is quite unlike any other cafe you’ll come across, with stunning decor, elegant design in everything you lay eyes on, a soundscape that coalesces beautifully with the visuals and the GARDEN. Well, you just need to experience it to believe it! The staff are some of the most wonderful people in the hospitality industry, who care for your needs and feel like you’ve made a friend by the end of your time there. Nevedya is unique and quirky, the food is HEALING and nourishing, the drinks are an experience from start to finish - but the most special of all, is that you can feel the love that is going into every aspect of this venue from the HEARTS of Daniel and Shakti and their fantastic tribe. That is what truly makes a difference. We were extremely well looked after for our recent farewell lunch party of 18 (that grew by several more tables!) From correspondence leading up to the event, fantastic service all the way through the day, accommodating our large group, we left with bellies and hearts full and enjoyed an afternoon of the most divine live music in the outside garden deck area! Bit disappointed with my meal choice. Mushrooms and sautéed spinach and poached eggs. Not sure if it was an overload of salt - which I don't use at all - or some other condiment that the mushrooms were mixed with. They were completely in in edible for my taste preferences and I couldn't taste the mushrooms at all. To be honest it was yuck. My sisters meal was nice. I made the wrong choice and would never order this meal again. Went home a bit hungry. I'm sure your food is normally nicer than this.

If you don't use any salt in your own food it would have been best to ask your waiter what we could cook for you as a Build Your Own Breakfast with no added salt would have been the best option. The Local Mushrooms and Poached Eggs are one of our top selling dishes and are a constant favourite. I understand everything is personal choice, but if you have strict dietary requirements it would be best to let us know in the future so we can accomodate.

Not worth the money for food. we were super excited with the ambience and the service when we got in but had to wait atleast 30-45 mins for every item in the lunh menu to arrive.We went on the Mother's day and it was a complete waste of time. there was some lunch package with 4-5 items, we waited for 30min for first item and then 30 min for the second item and so on , they offered dosa and it was dipped in oil, oil was floating all over the plate, Will never ever go back.

The staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Whatever food we got on Mother’s Day menu were very good. However, the restaurant ran out of certain dishes and could not serve the full menu as a result of poor planning and execution. Also there was enormous amount of delay while serving. We will certainly visit on a quiet weekday.

The overall experience was great. We had Mother's day menu and a cheese dosa from the kid's menu for our son. The quality of the food was really good and but the overall experience was just great, thanks for the lovely staff and the sitting set-up in the garden with live music. Definitely worth a visit, will surely go back again.

Nevedya has a fusion of Greek and Indian food. The dosa's are fresh and crisp. I had the thali that included a delicious curry. The food was spicy but not overly hot. My friends had dhal and dosa. The enjoyed it as a light meal. The ambience was lovely with hand made wooden tables and counters as well as soft lighting. We all felt comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommend this vegetarian restaurant.

Fantastic place!! All our food was so tasty and felt like it was made with love and care. Drinks are just as good, rose surrender cacao is just beautiful. Staff where friendly and relaxed. Venue is great too, fun but chill live music on Sundays! I love that they have Japanese style seating indoors and out.

Nevedya is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience. The ambience is calming, organic, almost mystical. The food is lovingly prepared and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to go again.

Food was incredible. Service was very friendly but incredibly slow. Volume of the music that was compulsory to pay for was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. So all you could do was sit there and wait for your food for nearly an hour with deafening noise, unable to communicate. A shame because we went for very special occaision.

We had the Friday night tapas and between the meal and the fancy cocktails and desert it was around $80 per head. There was enough food that you felt full and every dish was delicious.

Love the vibe! Came here for my 30th with family! Dinner was just right! Not too heavy not too light! Perfect! The manager arranged the garden area for us and also accommodated ja being late! Thank you guys!
