It is way too loud in here. A steakhouse should be pleasant and inviting. I think Texas Roadhouse may be more quiet. The tables are super close together. I could reach the shoulder of the man at the table next to me. The food was decent but that doesn’t hold a value to return when you can’t hear your partner across the table. The ambiance was lacking at best. It is obvious that there used to be windows along the back wall. For what we received, this is very overpriced. We will not be back. There are far better restaurants in this area.
My husband and I have been there once with friends, decided to take another long time local with us. She loved the food, the ambiance, said it reminded her of the good ole days of steak houses. Our waiter and busier were excellent up until our dinner was over, then we had to wait quit awhile to get our plates taken and a dessert menu. It really wasn’t that busy. Our first time there was excellent from start to finish.
Another great evening spent at Nevada Steak! We took clients to dinner and everyone’s meal was fantastic! We were told their patio will be opening soon, we will definitely be back to check it out.
Simon was excellent
We always enjoy our visits to NV Steak. The space is beautiful, well appointed and never feels “packed” even when every table/booth is occupied. The service is excellent A+++. The food is always good and the portions are overly generous. We do wish, however that the appetizer selections included more non-seafood options for the “no-fish” diners. We can highly recommend NV Steak.
I have to say, the food was less than spectacular. It was my first time to the Tamarack steakhouse since they renamed it and moved it and the food was much worse than before.
It was my buddy’s birthday so we decided to go here. I had the French Onion Soup with filet and potatoes gratin. He had a salad with a ribeye and mashed. Both of us took a few bites and looked at each other and had the same conclusion. Soup was ‘good’, salad was ‘fine’. Meat was tasteless and the gratin potatoes were burnt on top and had an odd flavor. I hate to say an Omaha steak at home would have been better but it would have been.
Maybe it is the newness of the place and they’re still figuring it out so I’ll try again in a few months but def a downgrade from the old steakhouse at the Tamarack and neither can compare with the Atlantis Steakhouse.
Food was great. The ambiance lovely and everyone so friendly. Will definitely go back,
We can’t say enough good things about Nevada Steak. We have been many times and the service and food has always been excellent. I’ve never been to a place with SO MANY amazing staff members. Gary, Kimberly, Simon and Andrew just to name a few. Right outside the steakhouse at the bar there are so many more. Whoever is doing the hiring there has it dialed in. ❤️🥂
Halibut was exceptional. Au Gratin potatoes particularly good. Twice baked potato is enormous.
The food is quite awful. Small selection of Vodka brands.
Server was great, we really enjoyed the food, and the twice baked potato was amazing. Enjoyed the restaurant and would definitely recommend to a friend.
This was my second visit to Nevada Steak and certainly not my last. The food is fantastic, extremely well priced for what you get and the atmosphere is on par with the grand steak houses in the fanciest hotels of Las Vegas. I highly recommend you enter the casino from the Southwest Entrance which is closest to the restaurant, if Smokey casinos bother you that is. Don’t worry though... The Smokey casino quickly disappears once you enter the restaurant.
Another fabulous dinner at Nevada Steak! The entire staff treat you like family and make you feel special. My dinner was awesome and topped it off with a tasty hot fudge sundae! The reopening of the restaurant was so worth the wait!!
Great food and service and new door from back so no need to walk through casino
Great Caesar salad! Salmon was delicious as usual.
Dinner was for a birthday celebration, which was noted at the time reservation was made. Kind of disappointed it did not include a dessert to celebrate the birthday.
The minestrone tasted homemade and was absolutely delicious. The shrimp and lobster linguini was fabulous!
Service was very good, they recognized that it was our anniversary. They display a very large wine selection, but they were out of the wine we selected. Rated fair because of the steak. I ordered the 16 oz rib eye, medium. What I received was cooked rare, and I literally had to dissect the steak through all of the fat to find some meat. Honestly, this cut was at least 60% fat, probably the worst cut of meat that I can remember. Even the flavor was bland. Unfortunately, we will not be going back any time soon.
Between the fur of us, mixed reviews on the food. Reminder to me: when in a steakhouse, order a steak
Great service and great food do recommend
Excellent service. Waiter was very attentive to customer.
Food, service and all around great resturant. Wife had the Halibut, I had the NY Steak. It was very good.
Absolutely outstanding service from Holden & Zach with the manager Gary making every moment a delight. Food , drinks & wine delicious. Wonderful experience.
I ordered the Surf and Turf was very pleased with the size of the Lobster Tail.
Great Value as far as I am concerned!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and our waitress was exceptional. The downside to the whole experience was all the noise coming from Sully’s. It was loud and obnoxious and quite frankly ruined the entire evening.
There’s no sound barrier between Sully’s and the steak House. Big mistake!!
Food wasn’t that great. Was told their food was better than the old steakhouse. Not so! Too expensive for what you get.
Everything was great. Delicious food, attentive waiters and wonderful ambience. Also, loved the rose petals on the table to celebrate out anniversary. Thank you for a delightful and very nice evening.
First time opportunity and food quality, service and atmosphere were all very good. Definitely recommend and will be back - thank you!
Everything was wonderful about this restaurant..in fact as soon as we left I booked it again for 2 weeks out....looking forward to returning....
This was my first visit and it was an outstanding experience. My server Mark and his team were on point, from suggestions to anything I may have needed. I will definitely go back and try more items on the menu. Next visit I will have to bring a bigger appetite!
We cannot say enough about the staff!!! The service was outstanding. We did not want for anything. The food was spectacular. The crab cakes were flavorful and the frito misto appetizer had a plentiful amount of fried zucchini, artichokes, and calamari. The wine list is extensive and priced well. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were juicy and tender and full of flavor. The portion sizes were ample enough for the hungriest of our group. And lastly, the desserts were phenomenal! The Creme Brulee was a perfect finish to the meal, and the decadent chocolate cake was exactly that...DECADENT! We will definitely be returning to try different menu items. An absolutely memorable dining experience.
This is not the same as the prior Tamarack steakhouse. The salad that comes with dinner is a spinach salad but not with the normal somewhat sweet dressing . Instead it is a very bitter vinaigrette. I ordered surf and turf. The steak was cooked perfectly and the Lobster was tasteless.
The waiter suggested a sundae for dessert. it was 3 large scoops of ice cream but with sparse amount of toppings.
The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very nice. Additionally the bar mixes excellent cocktails.
We probably will not return.
It was a wonderful meal, great service. Didn’t smell for being in a casino.
Food was delicious, service was great!
No Johnnie Walker Black at the bar! Appetizers average, zucchini great, artichoke and calamari not comparable. My wife’s crab cake was OK at best. House salad for the night (spinach,Gorgonzola, cranberries, balsamic and candied pecans)outstanding.
Her filet Oscar was very good. She said bernaise was excellent. My spaghetti (angel hair) and meatballs was unexpectedly spectacular-as good as I think I ever have had and I’m 100% Italian. They forgot to offer fresh grated Parmesan and the dish was so good I forgot to ask for it.There was a 15 minute gap between the salads and entrees. We didn’t notice but the restaurant did, apologized and comped excellent desserts-which was unnecessary. Finally, price point was at least 20% below the ROW or high-end midtown spots.
All good good food great service, nice people will come back.
The food is absolutely delicious. Everyone on the staff is courteous and efficient. The atmosphere is great. Have eaten in 2 of the rooms, but like the Wine Room the best. Can't wait for you to open your Patio
Quite possibly the best new fine dining steak house in Reno. Elegant comfortable environment. Excellent attentive service. Amazing food.
The service was spectacular!! Really enjoyed our Anniversary dinner!
