3 of our 4 had great food. My wife’s pork tenderloin was too tough to cut. It was replaced by a different entree.
New server tried hard to accommodate, but needed more training and help.
Desserts were creative and good.
Anniversary dinner. Service and food was great.
The simple ingredients are beautifully prepared resulting in complex flavors and another fantastic meal and experience. When you want to show off the Indianapolis food scene to out of town guests this is undoubtedly the place to start. Service is spectacular.
The food and wine are outstanding as are the cocktails. Or server was knowledgeable, making good suggestions, and appropriately attentive. Loved it.
First time there so we arrived early and decided to get a drink a the bar before dinner. The bartender was great, mixing great cocktails and good conversation, so we decided to stay at the bar to eat as well. Food was awesome, and the kitchen easily accommodated the food allergies in our party. Overall a great dinner and we will be back.
Fabulous and inventive food.
Anniversary celebration for me & my husband (54) and our daughter & son-in-law (20). Food was excellent & beautifully presented. Daughter & son-in-law go to Tuscany on wine buying trips and were very impressed with the wine choices and the food. Waiter particularly attentive & knowledgable but not intrusive. He brought us an anniversary dessert on the house.
As usual the food and service was phenomenal. Only issue was it was really loud in the area we were seated. Large party celebrating a birthday made it very hard to converse with our group.
Our server was very friendly and accommodating, and really knew the menu and wine list very well. We will definitely go back to Nesso - the entire experience was on par with any other restaurant in town, and much better than most!
Overall very good business dinner experience.
Nesso is the caliber of Spiaggia in Chicago! Hands down, Nesso is the very best Italian restaurant in Indianapolis. Brandon and Molly attended to us like we were the only diners. They are the best! We will be back again and again.
Great evening to celebrate a coworkers send off to the Peace Corps!
The patio doors were open for the Negroni event & the restaurant was incredibly HUMID. Fortunately, the business meeting was among good colleagues, but had this been any other business meeting, it would have been very embarrassing. We were all trying to discretely mop the sweat from ourselves throughout the meal. (And none of us are old enough for this to have been hot flashes.) our guests were from Houston, and even they noted that they didn’t expect the Indianapolis weather to be as unpleasant as Houston’s.
Once we exited the restaurant at the end of our meal, we found that it was quite pleasant outside w a breeze. I’m disappointed that measures weren’t taken to make the temperature more comfortable. I have to believe offering to move us closer to the door with some breeze or closing the doors that made the interior of the restaurant stifling weren’t taken.
We were celebrating a birthday and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere!
I had read reviews and looked at the menu. When I made our reservation, I asked for a quiet seating. We ordered the pear cocktail, shared the wrapped prunes and the beet appetizers. We both ordered seafood entree and shared the dark chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything was gorgeous, flavorful and interesting. Service was excellent. There seem to be 3-4 distinct seating choices, including large bar area & patio. We will return and try other menu items & seating. Nesso is our new favorite restaurant in Indianapolis.
The food was amazing and our server, Rebecca, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Do not come expecting a lot of heavy, tomato based pasta. It is much lighter and there is more seafood (because-coastal!) I highly recommend the scallops and the carpaccio, but everything was great. You won't be disappointed.
Good food. Good service. Prosciutto wrapped prunes were great. Trout was excellent. Aperol spritz was a good summer cocktail.
Food and service was fantastic
Loved Nesso. Beautiful space, great service. Burrata was fantastic as were my scallops. My fellow diners enjoyed their halibut and ravioli as well
Nesso has a very good interior design, and is much quieter than most restaurants, both of which attributes I appreciate. The food is very good. The portions were small, even by my standards (and I like smaller portions--quantity is NOT quality.) Service was very good also. It was a bit pricey for what we got, however. We will go back, but not as often as we might otherwise if the value was better.
Our dinner for three on Thursday evening was wonderful. We split an asparagus salad that was perfectly prepared. I had salmon as my main course and it was excellent. What's more, I was very "complete" upon finishing this dish. Of course that didn't stop me from enjoying a healthy portion Tiramisu to cap the evening. Service was perfect and the ambiance was ideal for conversation. By all means go!!!!
First time visiting Nesso. Big fans of CRG. We would rate Nesso as one of the top restaurants in the CRG group. We had a terrific server and other wait staff. Food was very good. The Pane’ was a nice starter. Salad was very fresh and dressing delicious. Very simple but really good. Carpaccio had some very interesting accompaniments. The entree was very good as well. Overall a great experience and we will return!
Excellent. Each course was delicious. A memorable meal. Thank you too for the Anniversary good wishes
We have recommended Nesso to friends and family.
Cocktails were spot on & service was great at the bar. The crispy polenta with the carpaccio was delicious!! We stopped in for apps & drinks before a party & will be back to try out the rest of the dinner menu soon.
Our waiter was one of the best we have ever had. Service was too notch
Excellent experience every time I'm there. The service and food are a treat and the atmosphere is stunning. I look forward to going again and again.
The staff and the atmosphere was excellent. The food was outstanding.
Food was good excellent with sufficient portion sizes. Celebrated an anniversary, and received a small dessert.
A bit noisy being close to the group at the bar.
Will plan a return trip.
Perfect ! Delicious!
The food was amazing. Probably one of the best meals we have ever had.
A great downtown venue for some very well prepared Italian-inspired food. The wine list is excellent. The service is also very good. This was my second visit and I will definitely keep this on my list of places to go regularly.
Everything was delicious and beautiful!
Service was excellent - food presentation was very good the overall meal was good but for the price was expecting much more. Wine service and recommendations were also excellent
Great meal and fantastic service/atmosphere. Cheers to a fabulous dining experience
Our third time here in just over a month and everything has been equally as excellent each time. We love the decor, the service is amazing, and we wake up craving another meal here the next day. We go to all of the highly regarded restaurants in Indy and Nesso has easily jumped to the top of our list!
The best restaurant in Indy right now.
Another CRG masterpiece! Some of the best Italian influenced dining in the city. Our second visit topped the first. Tremendous Italian wine selection. Service is outstanding: Prompt, attentive and informed. Great bar and ambience. Fast becoming our favorite Indy dining spot. Move over Vida?
Have dined at Nesso twice. They knocked it out of the park on both occasions. My new favorite restaurant in Indy.
With out a doubt Nesso Coastal Italia is a wonderful dining experience and offers the best Italian food we have found in Indianapolis. The chef blends flavors superbly well and the menu high lights fresh food of the season. Last night we enjoyed the special pulled rabbit appetizer, the beet with labneh salad, a yummy cauliflower side dish, and mains of the seabass and ravioli with foie gras and leeks. Every dish was delicious and also beautiful to the eye. We highly recommend Nesso and will definitely be returning in the near future.
