Nesso Coastal Italia
Nesso connects you to the influences of coastal Italian right here in Indianapolis. Either by the farms we showcase or the wine we proudly source for a Midwest city, Indianapolis has all of the elements to bring together a beautiful experience of food, wine, and hospitality.
We had an amazing experience. The food, service and ambiance was perfect. Highly recommended!!!
Nesso was a nice experience with great food and ambiance and reasonably priced. Our server, Lee, was outstanding and made our evening more special.
My husbands 60th birthday
The food was exceptional and the ambiance was classy AND comfortable.
Very unusual Italian dishes, but amazing flavors! The waitstaff was a bit slow when we were first seated, and the manager came out, apologized for the delay, and gave our table THREE appetizers on the house! After that, the waitstaff was very attentive and we had no problems whatsoever. The decor is beautiful, seating is great and not on top of each other, lighting is perfect, and noise level is just where it should be. Very pleasant experience, and again, amazing food! I would highly recommend, and we will return!
What a wonderful restaurant! This was our third visit. We will go again soon to sample their spring menu.
Beautiful food, attentive service, lovely space (we were in the front dining room).
Wonderful restaurant in a great location. Beautiful ambiance, delicious food and good service. I loved the bruschetta and the gnocchi.
Service was excellent, very easy to share dishes, great wine with a nice variety of price points. My second time here. Does NOT disappoint
Love the atmosphere
Celebrated our 15th anniversary here. Sommelier was outstanding and fun. Food excellent. Appreciate the appropriate size portions. Lovely celebration treat at the end. Thank you!!
Our party of four loved the experience at Nesso. Food was outstanding! It is expensive, but worth it for a special evening.
Wonderful meal, excellent service, staff from hostess to server all friendly & professional... Surprisingly no bread & oil served w/meal although their focus is on a traditional Italian experience. My Wife’s family is Italian and I’ve never had an Italian meal without bread & oil - Nesso should consider offering it... the rest down to coffee & dessert was excellent!
From start to finish this is proof that Cunningham gets it and that Indy is really crushing it in terms of restaurant variety. The interior of Nesso is great - good lighting and nice modern feel - we got a small table but recommend requesting the larger couch seating for two- four. We started with the octopus and carpaccio and both were fabulous. We also did the Agnolotti pasta, Sea Bass and one additional pasta option. It was small plates of pasta but ample portions and delicious. We selected a wine as well and had the right attention paid to us in terms of re-pours as the bottle was left off the table. Our server was fun and easygoing and happy to chat with us. We had no idea Nesso existed since we are in Hamilton County and it was nothing short of a fantastic surprise.
Unique menu, excellent in every way. Best Old Fashion in town.
Spectacular food, and service to match. Job well done!
Our server was very attentive and did a nice job describing dishes. Our table was a booth up front which was comfortable and roomy. Food was good but not outstanding. Gnocchi dish is not traditional gnocchi and it lacks punch. The veal was good and the Carbonara was nice.
It was tasty, but portions are small. I cleaned my plate, even after also having an appetizer.
If we come back, we’ll focus on getting just pastas, risotto and tiramisu, because those are the shining stars. This was our second time here and we compare it to Vida (our favorite) and Cerulean, the restaurant that used to be in this space. Both of those places are/were superior to Nesso in our opinion. The “bread” they claim is made fresh daily by a pastry chef was toasted, (inedible without being soaked in the dipping oil, which you don’t get enough of, and what do you get isn’t very flavorful) and the flavors and textures were all similar to each other and kind of boring. We like the bread at Vida so we hoped for better. The pastas (gnocchi, agnolotti and mezzaluna) are amazing, and the risotto with foie gras is outstanding. We will likely return for those things in future.
My husband and I were meeting friends to dine at Nesso for the first time. We were early and decided to grab a drink in the bar. The bartender was very pleasant and knowledgeable.
Once our friends arrived, we were seated and Anthony was our server. He was outstanding! He was very friendly and helpful with our food questions.
But the food.... WOW! It was delicious!
Can’t wait to go back!
Our group shared the bruscetta , the figs and the carbonara pasta. They were all fabulous. Then we had the scallops, salmon and veal. Everyone loved their entrees and suggested wine selections were perfect. Will go back
Great service and food was amazing we will definitely be back
Helpful knowledgeable staff and good food
This is our third time at Nesso. We have had outstanding meals all three times. Everything from cocktails to appetizers, to main courses to desserts are prepared to perfection and served in style. We will continue to frequent this restaurant. It is quickly becoming our favorite dining spot in Indy.
From the greeting to departing, we were very impressed with the atmosphere, the kind and detailed menu explanations, the recommendations by waiter Lee, the presentation of the food, and the flavorful enjoyment of each item ordered! We did not feel rushed, while everything was served in a timely manner, and the recommendation of the Tiramasu was OUTSTANDING - it was all the tiramasus we have ever ordered consolidated into one "to die for" magnificent ending to a most enjoyable meal and experience. We have already recommended others to you, and we will be back, and bring friends!!!
Pork Shank was amazing. Nice atmosphere. Service not rushed. Great place for a business dinner.
Unfortunately, Nesso has taken a downward turn since it first opened. Several menu items don’t have the same quality...while some new offerings were just clear misses. Hopefully they can get it together, as it used to be a favorite Cunningham Group restaurant for me.
We were celebrating a birthday for our adult son and his family. We were disappointed that there was no children's menu but there was spaghetti so we thought that would be okay. It was covered in lemon oil and of course the kids wouldn't eat it. So many of the dishes were coated with lemon! Then the dessert selection wasn't very good. I understand having Italian desserts but you should ALWAYS offer chocolate cake or ice cream or cheesecake. We often come in and sit at the bar and love the staff but the food might keep us away.
Excellent Italian. About as close as you can get to the real thing in Indy.
Servers need to not rush you
Great food and atmosphere. Waiter was knowledgeable about menu and wine list. Cunningham group does it again with a top tier restaraunt.
This place was a huge disappointment. The food had absolutely no flavor- had to ask for salt which I've never done in a nice restaurant.
My daughter’s birthday. We had 8 in our party and had a wonderful experience. Great service and food and our daughter got a free dessert, with a Happy Birthday message on the plate. We loved it and will be back!
We went for Valentine’s day, and it was a perfect date night restaurant. We split a few small dishes and then had our own entrees. Most of the food was very good, though there was one appetizer we didn’t love. We also were recommended a bottle of wine that was exactly our taste. The service was great, too.
We enjoyed a very relaxed meal and were provided excellent service from Anthony. He made several good suggestions. Wine service was great as well. We will be back. Thank you.
Great spot for Valentine’s day! The food was delicious and our server, Jared, was really friendly and helpful.
Interesting menu snd deliciod food. Anxious to return and try other options . Delicious doughnuts for dessert!
Starting with the drinks the bartenders were knowledgeable of the liquor selection and the menu making our choices easier and well matched.
The food was delicious. The Carpaccio was tender and tasty, the Polenta was smooth as butter, the Spaghettini was perfectly prepared and had a wonderful lemon flavor without being overpowering and was a great match with the Pollo.
It's not your typical red-sauce Italian restaurant but by my estimation it is now the best Italian restaurant in town.
Excellent. Another Cunningham hit out of the park. Get the lobster tortellini!
The best meal I’ve had in Indy. And I’ve tried everywhere. My wife and I were blown away by the food, the drinks, and the staff. Our waitress, Beatrice, was BEYOND exceptional. She was knowledgeable and fun, but didn’t hover. Great night.
Great Italian first class event!
From the amazing menu to the superb Italian-rich wine list!
