Nesso Coastal Italia
Nesso connects you to the influences of coastal Italian right here in Indianapolis. Either by the farms we showcase or the wine we proudly source for a Midwest city, Indianapolis has all of the elements to bring together a beautiful experience of food, wine, and hospitality.
Phenomenal food and excellent service
This was our first experience with Nesso and it was flawless. Anthony was an OUTSTANDING server, attentive, knowledgeable, and fun. We will definitely be back and I’ve already recommended the experience to others!!
Our service was exceptional and the appetizer hit the spot.
Fantastic flavors, unmatched service, friendly and informative staff. Great spot for daughter in laws birthday
Fantastic food and wine. Loved the ambiance as well.
My family and I went to Nesso to celebrate my moms birthday. We had such a wonderful evening together. Brandon took great care of us along with his amazing support team. The only downside is that I wish I could have everything they create as it is all so delicious.
Thank you Nesso for doing this so brilliantly. I cannot wait to go back.
The food and service was wonderful. The specialty drinks were creative and the wine list all Italian.
Our waiter was informative, friendly, and attentive. We really enjoyed our whole experience!
This is what going out to dinner should be. We had an exceptional server, the menu is great (plenty of choices but not overwhelming), and the food and drinks were really good.
Had the best anniversary dinner here, definitely think it’s one of Indy’s best restaurants everything we ordered was delicious. Service was impeccable and the wine selection was superb. Can’t wait to come back!
Great experience. Excellent food. Server was great too...as out of town travelers from Columbus, I'd reco this to anyone staying at the nearby Alexander Hotel.
Was our second visit to Nesso and the food and drinks were just as excellent as the first visit. Go early and have Barry make you one of his specialty cocktails at the bar before dinner.
Excellent food and service, the music cold have been a little softer for the rock music it was. Would have been better with a little soft jazz or classical. But that was a very minor detail and probably just my taste.
Quite pricey—both food and wines—so this is a place to visit only on special occassions
Nesso was an excellent choice for a night out. Had a great wine recommendation from the server. We ordered a pasta and entree, they were exceptional in their flavor and spice. I will definitely go back.
We tried Nesso with another couple who we enjoy foodie experiences with and all four of us could not be more pleased. We began at the bar sampling some of the cocktails and the bartender was friendly and highly informative. For dinner we began with the prune and octopus appetizers and both were simply an amazing preparation and presentation. For dinner we all had a different entree and all of us kept raving throughout the dinner how wonderful each of our meals were. Nesso was an outstanding find and we cannot wait to return soon. So many Italian restaurants just do not know how to use fresh ingredients to provide an outstanding taste experience and Nesso has done this.
It was very tasteful food and great service. I think they filled my water after every sip. Homemade pasta was incredibly good with lots of flavor. Lots of bourbon to choose from too.
Overall a great experience. We will definitely be back.
Great wine list. Great menu. Great service. Best thing is one can actually have a dining experience and hear the conversation. Wonderful acoustics which seems so rare in so many Indy dining places.
Food and service were wonderful. The chef has created a great take on gourmet Italian. My only complaint is that all menu items are a la carte, including salads, entree side items and bread. I would expect, with the thought that has been put into each dish, that accompaniments would be paired with the entree.
I could forgive the a la carte approach if this were based on a "course" meal, as is also common in Italy. In that case, charging $7 for bread (a complimentary staple, even in Italy, where restaurants pride themselves on their pane recipe ) lessens the experience of an authentic Italian meal, and simply feels as if the owners are attempting to pad the final bill as much as possible.
The veal was too salty and other people in our group also said they would say their entree was average. The price was a little high for the quality.
The food is absolutely delicious. Everything we ate was so flavorful. The staff is very knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff did a wonderful job, Barry took good care of us at the bar.
just a great place for a great dinner 11111111111111111111111111111111111111111
The food was good. The value dropped when we involve the waiter and bartender.
Pre-meal drinks where ordered (French Martinis). The bartender knew they didn’t have the right liquor or mixes, but passed a drink to the waiter who also knew the drink couldn’t be made but delivered the imitation anyway - and said nothing.
On return to the table, I said, “this isn’t a French Martini.” The waiter responds, “I know but we don’t have pineapple juice or Chamborg.” WTF!
Dude, just tell me you don’t have the ingredients. Don’t try to pass a crap imitation drink. There are too many good restaurants with good food and services to try this place again.
Enjoyed creative appetizers, but main course entrée options were disappointing. I ordered the gnocchi, which was lacking in flavor and very doughy.
Awesome service. Great food. Spent our anniversary here on NYE and can’t wait to go back. Try the prunes with goat cheese and prosciutto.
Top Tier in Indy
Appetizers: Exquisitely tender, charred and crusted octopus served with wonderful tahini and chutney-like accompaniment; pesce crudo presented in a creatively seasoned ceviche-like timbale format.
Mains: Perfectly cooked scallops with homemade orzo; moist, flaky sea bass with crispy skin.
Great service. Interesting selection of Italian wines.
Overall a perfect meal.
The food, wine, service and ambience was perfect for a first official date! Would definitely recommend!
Service was outstanding and the food was OMG good. Second time eating there, can’t wait for the 3rd.
The prune prosciutto appetizer was delicious. We ordered the fresh truffles for the top of the agnolotti and the chef came out to shave them on our dish which was a treat. They smelled delicious, however the flavor didn't match the aroma. They were bland whcih I had never experienced before, so that was disappointing. Usually they are so flavorful, but that wasn't the case. The seabass was excellent, but very small portion. Veal was tender, but the sauce overpowered the delicate meat. Scallops were amazing! Excellent service and ambiance. Not sure I can recommend for all of the dishes we had compared to other restaurants in the area. Vida is same price point and it's always amazing.
A great addition to the Indianapolis dining scene. The pasta are great and are a nice portion size (I was full without being unable to walk). The real surprise for me were the appetizers. The octopus and prosciutto wrapped dates were delicious new takes on old recipes
Everything about our dining experience was spectacular! Will be coming back here often!
Celebrated our anniversary at Nesso and had a great meal. Our server was off his game that night but the food was excellent and we look forward to a return trip.
Superb service and outstanding food . Also love the restaurant redesign. This was my first time back since the Cerulean moved out. I say it’s a significant improvement! Will return myself and recommend to others!
We had a family dinner here before Christmas at the zoo, they don’t have a kids menu but are able to cater to kids as well. The cocktails were fantastic, the food was delicious. The portions are somewhat small;however, that’s exactly what we were looking for.
Great evening. Sommelier is very knowledgeable and has assembled an amazing wine list (featuring Italian wines) and a high-end selection at the bar.
The layout of the restaurant is outstanding with many somewhat secluded areas. This adds a level of intimacy and keeps the noise level at just the right level. A happy, sociable background, but one that you don’t have to shout over.
Service was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. The meal was a special occasion and the staff arranged for a friend in Boston to order and pay for surprise desserts, even talking through the dessert menu with said friend to help her select the best options for us.
Only thing I’d suggest (and this isn’t exactly a complaint) is that the knowledgeable bartender offer his knowledge when requested or in a conversational fashion versus as a correction of the customer. I have worked in the industry and studied wine in France. Italy, and Spain. Chastising and presenting something as a correction and saying “that’s a fact, and now you know” made one of our guests feel bad. Furthermore, his correction was actually a preference versus a fact; he was young, though, and I still tipped well at the bar.
Service was wonderful. Ask for Jared! Looking forward to the next opportunity to visit. Loved it.
Our server was Beatrice and she was fantastic! The wine was amazingly paired with our dinner and the food was delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the gnocchi. Looking forward to returning.
Nesso was fantastic! The food was delicious and the portion sizes were nice, not too big. We really enjoyed our meal and will return!
We have now been there four times. We love it. The food is sublime. The service is spot on. And the drinks are incredible.
I’m so glad we have such a great dining option in Indy.
