Not knowing what to expect, we made reservations for brunch. Very few tables were occupied, but we waited for several minutes with no one around to assist. Once seated, the host got us coffee, but after around five minutes a waiter came around and questioned us as to where we came from and how we got coffee. Everything was just downhill. We had to ask for everything. Cream, then spoons, water, on and on. The waiter was not knowledgeable and very disconnected. Will not be returning especially since there are so many great places to choose from in Louisville.
Went for breakfast after staying in the hotel for an event. I s could see that they were running low on staff, but we went ahead and were seated. The hostess eventually took our order and the test of our experience there went very slowly.
Good service at the bar. Table service slow and forgotten ordered items. Food was okay.
The food was great but service was awful. We saw our waiter twice, once to take our order and the next to get our check. A runner brought our food and the hostess brought our check. We Asked for a drink after our meal arrived and he motioned us over to come pick it up at the bar from him instead of bringing it over, it was bizarre.
Went for a girls lunch before our appointments at Mokara. Food and cocktails were good but the service was painfully slow for a nearly empty restaurant. The price point for lunch was kind of high for the area as well. I don't mind splurging, but $50 plus tip for 2 cocktails and a sandwich is a little high for lunch? Also a few items on the menu were "out". Next time I'll grab a quick snack in the food hall before a spa appointment.
We had Valentine's day reservations. We were treated great and the food was spectacular. I recommend the smoked salmon and London broil.

We had reservations at 7:45 on Valentine’s Day, and were looking forward to being able to order from their special Valentines’s day menu. However, we were presented with their regular menus, and told that they had sold out of everything on this special menu. We ordered the Hot Brown tater tots starter, and then a few minutes later, our server returned to inform us that they had sold out of that also. Our server said that with number of reservations that had been on the book all week, they should have been better prepared. I agree! When my wife’s salmon arrived, it was hot, but the bed of braised kale was cold. Her expectation was that anything braised would be served hot.
Also, the Omni’s valet service was not adequately prepared. When I presented my valet voucher to retrieve our car, I was told that it would be 15-20 minutes or maybe more before they could bring our car back. It was actually 30 minutes. The lobby was quite chilly while we waited.
Food is better than the service. Ambience is ok. Over priced. Disappointing for an Omni hotel restaurant but service in the hotel is also lacking.
The only problem from our perspective was the seating for our reservation. They placed us at a tiny table and we were literally elbow to elbow with other patrons. You have no room and cannot have a conversation without being heard. We requested a booth but they wouldn't move us so we left. Some folks may be okay with that type of seating arrangement but we are not. One size does not fit all!
Valentine’s Day- service was a little slow despite the dining area not being full. Took a while to get drinks and food.
Scallops were delicious and steak was cooked correctly but came out cold which was quite disappointing.
Great ambiance and location, but with slow service and sub-par quality of food- I will not be returning.
It took awhile for our drinks to be served. But then, there was only one bartender and the restaurant was over half full.

Celebrating my wife’s Birthday I thought would end up better having dinner in the hotel than we experienced. Very dissatisfied with our server as we feel our low quality of food was caused by her inattentive service. Took some time to even get our order taken. Our food quality was poor with my potatoes being cold, steak overcooked and no syrup on my wife’s chicken & waffles. Would have liked to have let our server know but did not return anytime soon. Extremely inattentive! Never even refilled our tea. Final straw came when took forever to get our bill. Would not plan on eating at this restaurant again although we will return to the Omni Hotel. Special dinner was a tragedy!

The food and service were excellent. Many options to choose from and each of the 5 of us got a different dish. Every one was delicious and now each of us wants to go back and try another!
This place never disappoints - great food, service and you can actually carry on a conversation with your guests and hear them.

The food was good. We had the tater tot app and it was a great, cozy comfort food. We also tried the meatball app and the meatballs were a bit overcooked and dry. The entrees were all good. Service was great. The restaurant had some games on the TVs and that made it a bit loud, but not too bad. Definitely a more economical choice than the steak house and the Omni is so nicely decorated.
I booked this restaurant for me and my boyfriend for NYE (we went to 4th St. Live to watch the ball drop after). I reviewed the holiday menu as well as the standard menu beforehand and thought everything looked great. We were seated promptly at 8:30 (our reservation time). I already knew what I wanted for dinner since I’d reviewed the menu previously. Our waiter was very nice and greeted us shortly after we were seated. We started off with the Shishito peppers as an app and they were only “ok.” My bc ordered the half chicken and I had the holiday sea bass. Once our food arrived I was immediately disappointed based off of just appearance alone. The food looked to be half put together. There was a glob of arugula alongside the half chicken, I received one (1) scrawny carrot (not plural as the menu indicated) w/ my sea bass and the over abundance of sauce that coated the plate made my rice almost swim. As we began to eat the bass had a nice flavor. My bok choy however was overcooked and not flavorful. My bf’s chicken was mediocre and the skin was soft and fatty in a lot of places. Overall the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but for $80 (ij addition you the app and entrees I had a Kentucky mule to drink), I expected better.
New Year’s Eve; nice place and waitress was good; steak was overcooked but the sauce, fries and kale salad were good.
Delicious food. Friendly and attentive staff. Dessert on the house was offered when our waitress realized that our meals would take longer than expected, due to an issue in the kitchen.
Christmas lunch. Sea Bass was the best I have had in a longtime.
Excellent service. Nice setting.

I have been here numerous times and always get the Tuscan Kale Caesar with Salmon. On this visit, I ordered the same and it was the smallest salad, piece of fish and was missing ingredients. For the price, it was more like side salad. Very disappointing, there were only 2 other tables dining so there is no excuse to skimp on the portion and quality. Our server forgot items that were ordered and took forever to pick up our payment and we were his only table. Very disappointed.
Prompt seating for a birthday (they asked specifically) but, nothing to acknowledge the birthday after that.
Many plates sat on the table stacked up until I asked for the server to help cleat the table.

I ordered cheddar burger with lettuce wrap and no cheddar, no sauce at 7:30. It was brought to me not once but twice with bun, cheese and sauce. Manager came and apologized and then she had another burger boxed to go and it was with a BUN again. I advent y’all received lettuce wrap burger at 9:20.
After two wonderful experiences here we were very disappointed tonight. My dinner salad was nothing like it was when I ordered it previously. My husbands steak was way over cooked. Our waitress was mediocre to start but then literally disappeared. We had to ask someone else for our check and even the other staff couldn’t locate her. She finally showed up with hardly a word to us when she presented our check. Sadly I don’t think we will be returning.
Nice midday visit for a pre-meeting lunch with colleagues. The shrimp and grits were selfish! Would have loved more voo-doo sauce with the serving size of grits’s
