Neighborhood Services Bar Room & Broiler Ratings and Reviews
It's an end of an era.
I used to love this place-the food, the hospitality.
We came here regularly for many years and our kids celebrated their birthdays here.
Tonights dinner puts that to an end.
The new menu is bland at best.
Since you no longer serve the kids dishes, we took your recommendation and ordered a kids pasta alfredo-it was over $21-for a 4 year old.
Our 8 year old ordered the flat iron steak. At $28 it was so tough he could not eat it.
My rotisserie chicken was so bland i barely touched it. The tune tartare was void of flavor and freshness.
Our $244 tab for a monday night dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids felt like an insult for the level of food and service.
In short-we're done.
Also-it was my birthday. You missed it. It was noted in the reservation.
We will miss the restaurant you used to be.
Whenever we want a great meal with friendly service, we head to any of the Neighborhood Services restaurants. We know that we will never have a negative experience and the food will come out perfect every time! We love that we can count on it for a consistently good dining experience!
I was really excited to see the new renovation and new broiler firthis place...but it appeared that not much was done to change decor and was not impressed with the new food items. The broiler I find is a rotisserie andmsinly chicken items. I dont know about anyone else but if I’m going for a great meal, thekast thing I want us anither night if chicken. Wait staff was great, drinks good but not impressed with new menu items.
Restaurant was recently renovated. The interior is beautiful and the new menu choices are fewer but the food was outstanding. We had asparagus for a starter and it was excellent, ythe fish and rotisserie chicken with sides. I recommend both.
It was my friend’s birthday and I had let the host know in advance. The waiter brought out a yummy chocolate sundae with a candle, The waiter was knowledgeable and we received the prefect amount of attentiveness.
Great food and always consistent. My only negative would be consistently when I book a reservations on Open Table for any Neighborhood Services restaurant, I get ushered to the back of the restaurant with my guest or near a wait station/bathroom. You feel a little like a second-class patron.
One of our favorite places. Had the steak frite and was perfect London broil. Tempura asparagus and Caesar to start really good. We often go on Fridays for the best weinerschnitzel around (available, alas, only on Friday and likely to run out half way through the evening).
This place has a nice cozy feel. I liked that it felt a bit more intimate and we were able to carry on conversations without feeling everyone was also in our conversation. Our waiter was super helpful as well as the bartender who made two amazing recommendations and also concocted her own version of a drink that were super spot on. The food was amazing and it did not disappoint.
We lunch at NFS every few months and usually are very pleased. This visit was odd and it appears they are having problems with kitchen help. We both ordered the chicken cobb salad - dressing on the side. Pretty simple dish. Mine came without avocado, my friend's was dressed so she sent it back. When it came out the second time - it didn't have chicken. So they had to redo it a third time. I did get my avocado. Service was fine, but the kitchen seems confused.
I've had the pleasure of dining here at least five times over the past couple of years (It would be more but I live forty miles away), and always try to find a reason to stop by when I'm in this part of Dallas.
Great app's, great main's, even great coffee! The food and service is consistently outstanding here, so why am I complaining? Someone spent a lot of time decorating the dining rooms and creating ambiance, but now there's water damage all over the ceilings. You don't notice it at dinner because it's really dark inside, but at a recent lunch visit I couldn't keep from looking at the ceiling throughout lunch wondering if the nasty water was dripping on the tables. Not just one or two spots, but all over the first dining room to the right when you first enter the restaurant.
Very good food and atmosphere. Also honored my request for a booth. Only negative was it was our anniversary and notified them of an anniversary. How about something special to honor something like that. Most restaurants do. The hotel we stayed in gave us dessert and champagne on the house. You spend that kind of money for dinner, it wouldn't hurt your profits to make the dinner even more special. Also makes you want to come back even when its not your anniversary.
