Always great! The London broil is the best steak under $30 any where in Dallas. The crispy asparagus starter is perfect and the filet is one of those perfectly grown, perfectly aged, perfectly cooked meats that make yoke Carnivora happy. The sole Milanese was crap, light, a dance on the palate. Happy!
We were very disappointed with the quality of the food for the price we paid.
The 3 scallops I ordered were tough and on the small side. We had been there several times prior and did not have any complaints.
Sorry to say, we would not recommend this restaurant.
Always awesome! Favorite place to go in Dallas!
Great atmosphere and good food! I loved the ambience of the whole place!
I love this place! It’s a wonderful go to for fabulous food and cocktails!
Great food and ambience. Good for date night.
I live around the corner from NHS, and have been there many times over the years. It had probably 6 month or a year since my last visit. I have always loved the service and food at this place. Unfortunately, on my last visit the food or the service were not good.
The noise was deafening! We were unfortunately seated at a banquette in the front room. The smoked salmon appetizer was good. The rest of the meal was mediocre. My husband’s steak was cooked as he likes it, it average in flavor and texture. I had a salad that was just fine but nothing special. The chicken soup was too salty and some of the chicken still had the rubbery skin on.
Service was where they really fell down. The courses came much too fast. We were anxious to get away from the noise, but we never told the waiter we were in a hurry. We had not finished our salads when the waiter came up with our main courses. He quickly looked around for someone to take our salad bowls away so he could put the hot food on our table. That is an inexcusable error. Between the noise, mediocre food, and bad service we will not go back.
They didn’t have the chicken pot pie, so disappointed. Menu changes so much it’s hard for people like myself that like what they like.
This restaurant never disappoints! Love the decor, food, waitstaff, always a fun experience!
This has been a favorite for my husband and I for a while. They recently did a remodel and I honestly don’t notice a huge difference. I do miss the scallops that they used to have on the menu and the portions seem a bit smaller, but the food is good. It’s a dark ambiance but the TVs brightness was right in my husbands face and the music was a little loud.
We love the food at Neighborhood Services. This was our first experience at the one in Preston Hollow and the food was still delicious but the service was off. It started out great but then once we ordered dessert, our waiter dropped our check off and we never saw him again. Our water glasses sat empty, we were not offered refills on our coffee, and were never left with a thank you for coming. It was super odd! We ordered cocktails, a bottle of wine, appetizer, salads, main courses, and two desserts. We weren’t sure why we were left. The manager seemed friendly and the hostesses were great! Our waiter just seemed very stressed.
We visited on Tuesday night and it took more than an hour after our reservation to be seated. The staff had no idea what they were doing with respect to seating or schedule. They told me to close the tab at the bar because they were ready. We walked 5 feet to the hostess and they asked why we closed out, they didn’t have a table for us.
The wine recommendations were outstanding and the food very good, but managing the schedule was very poor and I do not recommend the restaurant.
Great update. Basically changed to the format of the lovers location.
nhs is always good. not sure why they changed their menu. the crab dip is greatly missed. their chicken served four ways is confusing and not an improvement but then they already have a good product. nhs does not disappoint.
Service person was exceptional
Music alittle too loud for conversation
Waited 20 min despite reservations. Received the wrong drink and the wrong side which were quickly corrected when I pointed it out. Only time I ever got smoked salmon where they didn't give any cracker or toast to eat it with. Very comfy booth. Great tasting food.
consistently great food and service. Love the appetizers. The crab cakes were fabulous!
We had to wait an extra 30 minutes beyond our reservation time-they did bring us a complimentary appetizer when one of our guests said she was a friend of Nick
One of my favorite spots in Dallas. great neighborhood gem with outstanding food from one of Dallas's hottest owner/chef
My Go-To place always! Great service & food! Always a fun atmosphere!
Great restaurant and service. Wait staff and food were super and we really enjoyed it!
Great, as always!!
Birthday. Great evening. Server was very attentive and made good suggestions. Food was excellent.
This place is awesome and I try to go at least once every time I’m in Dallas. The one thing I’ll say—which isn’t really a compliant—is that if you make a reservation during peak hours, you should be ready for chaos and a 20-30 min wait beyond your reservation time. Used to annoy me, now I just factor it in.
Always delivers on consistently excellent food! Gets a little noisy, but worth it!
We are very glad NHS has reopened and have been back a few times. Love the new decor and more homey atmosphere as well as the people who work their. We dined at NHS Friday and I always enjoy a good Burrata salad and was glad to see it on the menu. One thing I really enjoy about the salad is the burrata cheese and with this salad it was almost non existent so I labeled it BYOB, bring your own burrata. I had ordered the Mahi special which NHS had just run out of so I asked for the branzino which had way to may bones in the fish and was difficult to eat so I ended up sharing my wife’s half chicken which was moist and very tasteful. We will back but I now know what not to order.
The bathrooms were not working which seemed unbelievable to me given the # of guests in the restaurant. No special accommodations were offered. Their attitude seemed to be take it or leave it. Just not what I expected from a place that has a good reputation around town.
Nice to have NHS back in the neighborhood. Nice tweaks to the menu, with most of the good old standbys still available.
Birthday reservations easily made and, for what can be a very busy spot, were comfortably within 30 minutes of our desired time. This time, we tried menu items 'outside the box' - roasted chicken and king crab fra diavalo... with 'fried brussel sprouts'... our dinners were truly exceptional and Debbie's service was keen and appropriately attentive. This is a lively spot and can be a little louder than some, but our booth seats were very comfortable and we carried on lovely conversation the entire evening without 'straining'. NHS is a true neighborhood gem and worth the drive!
