Loved ! Went for my 23rd birthday, arrived 30 minutes late to my reservations but was still able to get seated in about 40 minutes which is generous in my opinion considering how packed it was and how late i arrived. Food was AMAZING the mac & cheese was my favorite, ambiance is really nice, great music, awesome service and really good drinks. A bit pricey but nothing crazy i definitely look forward to going back
I went for my birthday and I had the Hennessy punch, vegetarian spring rolls and escovitch red snapper. The drink was tasty and not weak like you might expect. The spring rolls were crispy and very very good. The fish was perfect and deliciously spicy. Left me wanting even more. I can't wait to go back.
They couldn’t find our reservations even though they called to confirm.
Seating was an issue, since we were celebrating a birthday and wanted to talk.We were placed IN FRONT of the jazz band.We were eventually moved.
Everything was amazing! We were coming from out of town & heard about Negril’s brunch, so we decided to visit. We didn’t know they didn’t offer brunch on Saturdays (Sundays only- might be a NY thing?) but nevertheless we indulged in a pitcher or 2 of the tropical mimosas & still had a great time. Our waitress was amazing & knowledgable of the menu & made it hard for us to decide on what we wanted to eat. Definitely will go back!
Delicious food and great presentation.
Enjoyed our lunch visit and plan to go again with more people.
We visited from Chicago. The best Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted. I tried the sampler which allowed me to taste a variety of dishes. It was well worth my money! Also, the drinks were phenomenal!
Excellent me and my girlfriend enjoyed it food was great service was great love the environment drinks were good
Always like it here. Good food. Good service. Great vibe.
First I was impressed that with our open table reservation as we were honored with our table after being 10 minutes late rushing to Negril after a concert. There were plenty of patrons already waiting to be seated, so big Thank you!!
Gabriel was our server and was pleasant the entire time which we greatly appreciate as this was our first time, it was busy and we had to scroll through the menu fast. We left an extra tip for Gabe and he literally chased us down on the street after we left as gratuity was included in price. He was humble and the extra tip was worth giving, Thanks Gabriel!!
Oh! Food was perfect Caribbean cuisine jerk wings/cod fritters/ and our main course of curry chicken and oxtails were sooo good. Great jobs Chefs!! We will definitely go back again!
The service here is outstanding. This was my first time eating here and it was a great first impression. My reservation was for 8pm. My sister and I got there early and we were able to be seated immediately, which was awesome. We ordered the food cake very fast which was outstanding. The drink I ordered was good and wasn’t too strong. After dinner we went downstairs to enjoy the music. Overall the atmosphere was great and I really enjoyed it.
Great place to eat and relax
Food is always amazing
First time at this location but will return to all locations any time
The food, drinks and service was great. Our server name was Kirk and he was courteous, funny and engaging. It was the best birthday dinner.
My husband and I enjoyed our food and experience here! Service, ambiance and most importantly the food was all on point.
Excellent food and strong drinks, friendly staff, good music, fun vibes.
Birthday occasion. Had a good time in the Rhum lounge.
Just too dark.
Nice spot. Comfortable seating and temperatures. The waiting staff was extremely helpful and quick to tend to us. The food was okay and the value, reasonable considering the area.
The food and service was great!!
Welcome was supurb. Waitress was very polite and had great knowledge of the food and drinks. Will surely visit again Negril you rock
The food was okay, a bit overpriced for the quantity but overall was good. Would recommend!!
Food was excellent, but the standout was the Curry Goat Empanadas. I have been to Negril Village many times before and I love the Mac and cheese and the jerk chicken has a nice kick to it. Our server was attentive and professional and never overbearing or in the way. Last note, the hosts are magicians. To keep order with all of the people that show up with and without reservations takes true skill and professionalism. The host that guided us to our table was both gracious and quick thinking. He moved things and people around so that everyone was able to have a good time and enjoy their meal. Will be back again and again.
Negril Village is fantastic! We booked a table for my friend's birthday, and had a blast. The drinks, the appetizers, and the atmosphere were on point all night. The staff also made repeatedly wished her a happy birthday and checked in on her often, which I appreciated so much.
My fave to go spot and will def be back! neighborhood gem with good food, music and vibes.
I would recommend Negril Village to anyone who would like to eat good West Indian cuisine.
The waiter was very nice and efficient. The food was great everything taste fresh. The drinks were strong and on the expensive side but worth it. The food came out fast with the exception of dessert. This was my 3rd time going there and by far the best experience yet.
The food was amazing, if you want authentic Jamaican food, this is definitely the spot.
Food was delicious though overpriced. Our server was nice yet seemed more tolerant of patrons rather than happy to serve. Not rude at all though. Music is loud and voices carry. Very hard to have a conversation across a table without shouting. We went to the lounge afterwards and they charged us to enter even though we spent over $100 for dinner! Was still fun but will think twice about going again though.
Was amazing will return soon .
It was an incredible experience for my first time there. Loved the drinks and the food was better than I expected. I was running late and the host was very nice and accommodating when I called to let them know. I will definitely be going back.
The best restaurant in New York that serves authentic Jamaican WI food. I tell people in US and abroad about Negril. Lovely staff members. Gabriel was such a pleasant, vibrant and sociable waiter. Great job Gabriel you're one in a million. I'll always go to Negril only wish the place was bigger..
Everything was Great!
Food was cold
Service was great
Drinks took too long
Drinks came after I finish my food
ENJOYED THE FOOD ,THE AMBIANCE...Did not appreciate noise level or slow service..
Did not appreciate the automatic Gratuity added to the bill(PRESUMPTUOUS)....I USUALLY TIP MORE
This is my 3rd time at this location in less than a month and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. To even get a waiter took 20 minutes, then another 15 to get water. We had to constantly ask and remind the staff to give us what we asked for. Food came out an hour later. The gravy for my curry goat watery. Then they cancelled my reservation before we even checked in and I had to convince them to reopen it. Just overall a bad experience.
Food is great, no doubt about that! Just needs more staff. Overall, everything else was top tier!
Great food, drinks, music and service! Only thing to mar our evening was the fight in the club downstairs.
Anniversary dinner very good!
Celebrated my birthday here. Great food & drinks. Great waiter as well
My favorite Jamaican spot in the NYC- ackee/ saltfish and rum punch- some spring roll and roti bread is my go to happy meal and they kill it every time!
If you want authentic Jamaican food this is your first choice!!!!
