It was awesome! Service was great, food excellent!
Negril Village was a very nice setting for my husbands birthday dinner. It can be intimate but you can also go there with friends and enjoy. The food was way better then i expected, and the service was wonderful. The waiter I had was very kind and cared a lot about how everything taste, he made sure we did not have to call upon him. Kudos to Negril definitely will be visiting again.
Made a 1:00 PM reservation for my birthday to have brunch. Arrived at 12:50 and was seated by 12:55. Ordered a carafe of the guava bellini and decided to skip the app and order the main course for which the order was submitted at 1:05.
After 30 minutes I checked with our waiter on the ETA as my wife and I had run out of conversation and were surprised that the food had not arrived to our table.
I asked to speak with the manager on duty and when she came and I explained my concern that my wife and I had been waiting 50 minutes now for our order and inquired if there was an issue in the kitchen.
She immediately became defensive and said “I can get you your food now but I can’t do that if I’m here talking to you”, I looked around the lower level where larger parties that had arrived 20-30 minutes after I had places my order had received their food and were eating. I pointed this out to the manager to which her response was “ you are on a 1 hour bill” I told her to come with me as there were two other tables seated in close proximity to us who also has been waiting for 30-40 mins and had not received their meals either.
She responded by asking me if I wanted to cancel my order or let her go back to the kitchen and get my order. I asked her why it had taken so long for her to recognize and address the issue, again her response was do I want to cancel my order.
I told the manager that her response was inappropriate and quite possibly the worst response from any manager I have heard.
I went to settle my bill at the bar but was told that I didn’t owe anything. After this nightmare event we went to Del Frisco’s Grille and had a wonderful meal.
I have dined at Negril Village over the past 15 years and have never had such a horrible experience or encountered a manager who was so incompetent and unprofessional. Needless to say that I will not return to this establishment.
I've been here 30 times and same thing every time. Amazing food and service!!! Absolutely love it here.
I made a 5pm reservation got there on time, but was told I had to wait for shift change to be seated. My appetizer were served cold, and the food was delayed.
Good food; service was awesome and attentive. Glad we went here for my mom’s birthday
It was my first time back in years, and my dates first time. The dinner was great, after we finished up we went downstairs and enjoyed some great music.
Some reason i got so sick from eating the ackee and saltfish entree.
We came to celebrate a friends 40th and had a great time. The hottest, Stephanie was awesome.
The experience was good, as well as the food, however I did not like receiving an email from open table that I was a no show for my reservation. That is incorrect. Please do a better job at checking in your guests.
Gabriel is the BEST WAITER there, he’s very attentive. I’ve been to Negril 5 times and he’s been my waiter 3 times and the service is stupendous. Even when he’s not my designated waiter he makes sure everything is okay.
We had a great time at Negril celebrating my sister's birthday. Our waiter Jermaine was amazing. The food was delicious, the bread pudding was so good! My fav cocktail was the coconut martini yum!
Second time dining there, this time was terrible. Firstly I must say the food was divine. I dined in the lounge as opposed to the restaurant. I understand that it's one of their busiest evenings, but with that said it seemed as if the server completely forgot that he had our table. After I basically had to reach out and touch him to get his attention, it took us another hour before we got our order. My advice unless you're definitely not in a rush to be fed or even slightly hungry don't visit here on a Saturday night.
Apart from people talking over the music my experiences have always been great and the food is always delightful. The drinks, well let’s just say you have to eat so the food soak up the after effect if you choose to indulge in a cocktail or two or more 🤪. The staff is amazing; pleasant and respectful eyecandy for the ladies 🤤😊
I visit every year for my birthday. This year I went twice.
Very nice atmosphere
I took my daughter there for her 21st Birthday and we had a fabulous time!
Service was excellent, food was amazing , drinks were on the money!
Thanks for making her day special.
The food was great! My server was amazing. The host that first greeted me was a little rude , and our foos swemed to take really long to come. Other than that I had a good time. I plan on going back this summer.
Food and service was great but the noise level was extremely high couldn’t have a conversation with my friends
Great food, great atmosphere, and beautiful brown people!
My second time here and it was as great as the 1st time. We enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. Would definitely patronize Negril Village again!!!
I made my reservation for 10:00 PM and party was seated once we walked in, my server was quick and the food was great!!
Crowd was dressed very casual. I expected a dress code which was a standard as of last year . The noise level drowned out any possible conversation. The table that i requested was not available. Perhaps staff called out that night, service was slow.
Superb atmosphere and the food is super amazing. Took my back to my country. Music was beyond amazing as well. Definitely going back and highly recommending to all my friends + outsiders.
I was disappointed with my meal, the jerk chicken wings were undercooked and the oxtails were tough...at least the bread pudding didnt disappoint
My friends and I really enjoyed the food. It was excellent.
great ambiance, drinks (especially the coconut rum drink) and food delicious. they also have a little bar scene downstairs if you're looking for that type of vibe. The music was good.
They add gratuity which is a practice that I am not a fan of because sometimes the server doesn’t provide as much attention I feel. Considering the food is great, the host was amazing and I’ve been coming here for over 10 years I deal.
Hit the “One Love” button. Loved the food. Loved the vibe. They had us with the cod fritters, and then came the jerk chicken and oxtails. The Negril mojito with sorrel was delish too. Love this place
This was my first and hopefully not my last visit. My reservation was at 1 pm on a Wednesday so the place was not crowded 👍🏾The food was awesome and I loved the ambiance of the place my group and I really enjoyed the food. The fritter delicious 😋 jerk salmon just the right amount of heat and the collard greens rolls yum 😋
The curry goat should had less bones more meat and barely had flavor. The service by the waiter was okay. Just wasn’t feeling the vibes that day.
Restaurant seemed to still be opening when we arrived for a 12pm brunch reservation. Waited about 15minutes to be seated. Menu and food were exceptional, but service was a little slow. A DJ was starting to spin club music around 2pm.
The food was delicious and nice ambiance. I ordered the jerk salmon with rice and peas. My only complaint with the food is the portion size, which is on the smaller side. My date ended up ordering an appetizer after his meal because he was not satisfied with the portion. We headed to Rum Lounge downstairs after dinner. I was a bit turned off by being told it was a 20 dollar cover when the website says 10 dollars and upon arrival we were told 10 dollars. After spending nearly 200 dollars for two for dinner I would think the lounge would be complimentary. They did end up charging us the 10 pp instead of 20 otherwise we were leaving.
Great customer service. Delicious food. Love the ambiance.
I've never been to Negrils for lunch, and everything on the menu was just delicious. From the soup of the day to the parmesan oxtails. Our server was excellent
Loved every inch of the place. The music was nice.
As always staff was amazing, professional and very attentive
I used to come to Negril and they used to give you a good amount of food & I would always need to take to go boxes. The food used to be soooo good. You can tell they may have new owners now . I got mixed veggies instead of cabbage and my mixed veggies had an apple slice in it? Lmao. I could have stayed in my town and ordered Jamaican food.
I loved everything I had. I had curry shrimp and my friend had ackee and saltfish. We had the ackee tostones and the bread pudding. Everything was delicious. But the entree portion was not enough. I was definitely disappointed in the amount.
Second time dining at Negril and it was really good! I like the new brunch menu!!
It was my birthday and they definitely made me feel special. Shout out to Paul who is just the best EVER!!
