In the center of the space is Negril BK’s lounge where guests can enjoy original Caribbean-style cocktails, such as Negril BK Frozen Rum Punch. The welcoming Caribbean-esque setting includes a mural paying homage to the Culture of Carnival and Steel pan, and local DJ’s and weekend live music create an energetic and lively island vibe.
Negril BK’s final room features the “Rum Shop” – a late-night speakeasy with a take on a classic Caribbean rum shop. The “Rum Shop” serves only rum based cocktails, featuring rums from all over the Caribbean. Name a rum and you’ll find it at the “Rum Shop.”

Excellent family restaurant. Caribbean fusion which won't break the bank account
Negril outstanding from the moment we entered for my moms bday celebration to our warm exit ..Service was amazing thank you Jack our awesome waiter. The food was deeelish and the drinks on point. We will be back .
It was overall good. The waiter was great. The food was good. I just didn’t realize that if you make a reservation at 2:30pm, you can’t be late at all because they close the kitchen apparently at like 2:45ish to prepare for dinner. So they take the orders at that time and the kitchen closes. I mean my party was good but just something to keep in mind if you make that 2:30pm brunch reservations.
The drinks were great. My branzino was mushy and the assorted veggies tasteless. Food, not so good. Get it togther, and get help from the NY chef.
The food was alright, not bad but not great either. The drinks were great though and our sever was very attentive.
The food was terrible, came out luke warm and really fast like it was pre-cooked and waiting to be ordered. The food was tasteless. Only the apps were decent. We had the spring rolls and wings for apps. The waiter was great but the bus boys were constantly rushing us, they came to remove our desert when we were just 75% through it but we let them take it bc we were not touching it due to the fact it did not taste good. The manager was accommodating to the feedback and took 20% off the bill. He said something interesting that the head chef doesn't want to make food that taste typical Jamaican or is identified as Jamaican. Well why name the restaurant Negril? I WILL NOT be returning there but will be at Negril Village again, such a disappointment for "Negril" BK.
If you like West Indian cuisine, and upscale but casual dining this is your new spot! My husband and I had dinner there last Sunday and the food was excellent, the service was friendly and the vibe was lively, but not too much so. My husband and I shared the lamb meatballs and a plantain and shrimp dish for appetizers and I would definitely make sure to try the lamb meatballs again next time. We are both of West Indian heritage and went with our test meals for dinner: I had the curried goat with roti and my husband had the jerk chicken with pumpkin rice and greens. We both fully enjoyed our meals, leaving nothing behind, and agreed that the food was authentic with a Park Slope kinda spin. I also enjoyed their tamarind mojitos (too much so to be honest!) and we had a delicious banana bread pudding with rum raisin ice cream for dessert. It came out with a candle and the lovely waiter even sang, since it was my birthday. As we were leaving my husband even had a nice conversation with the owner and chef. A five star experience all around!
I came here for my birthday celebration. When you first walk in and see the ambiance it is a modern tropical feel. The bartenders mix the drinks strong and consistent. Food was delicious and variety of dishes. It is great for dates and can accomodate groups.
Great food, drinks and all. Make sure to make reservations or it will be hard to get a table
Food was delicious. Music was entertaining.
The frozen rum punch was pricey but it hit the spot.
Everything was great up until the last minute. The bill was paid and my date went to use the restroom before we left. The table was wiped down while I was still sitting there. That took a little away from my experience but I'll give it one more try.
I came here April 7th for a birthday dinner for my best friend and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. From the time that we got there the hostess was very polite and our waiter was absolutely amazing and attentive. I will be back. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND!!!!!
Negril was excellent! The food was excellent and the service was impeccable.
Deb is the best bartender ever! She keeps my group coming every week! Her energy is contagious!! The food is great, drinks strong and the atmosphere is always fun filled!
We had a delightful time. Food was great and the service was exceptional
Great food and nice vibes. I went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the festive atmosphere did not disappoint. The curry veggies were spicy but not overwhelming. And while the roti was a little crispy, the waiter accommodated my request for a softer version. A generous pour on the wine and a DJ who played the best tunes also helped to make the night great. Thanks!
Food was AWESOME! Deliciously strong drinks and great vibe!
LOVE DEBRA at the bar! Defintely keep her. More food oprions.
Great food and service!
Food was delicious, drinks were potent and refreshing, the staff was all smiles. The food took awhile to come out, but the manager came over to the table to apologize personally and gave us 20% off of the bill. I’d definitely visit again.
This is my second time visiting Negril BK; I took my friend - it was her first time - and I must say we had a really great time and the food was great, service was great. After we left she asked when are we going back.
Thank you Negril BK
The food was excellent, tastes and presentation! However service was terrible! We ordered soda and sorrel and they didn’t arrive till we finished dinner!(Really). No one checks whether we need refills for water or how is our dinner!
Hopefully we just got unlucky with our server but honestly we are not coming back!!I will try and find another place for Caribbean food!!
Food was a huge disappointment. Dessert was yummy, would only go back for drinks and dessert.
Crowded on a Saturday night (9pm reservation). Restaurant was pricey for food that was only okay. Music and ambiance were great. Would come back for drinks and to hang out by the bar.
I thought it was an off shoot of Negril Village in Manhattan, but it’s a completely different restaurant.
Still really good food and creative drinks.
Place is nice. Service is excellent staff is friendly. Bartender Debra is awsome. She makes some great drinks. I would definitely go back for the drinks. The food was ok, a little bland didn't have that authentic west indian flavor. Calamari was good pieces could be bigger.
Loved it took my mom for her birthday on 3/17/2018 she already wants to come back
Great drinks and food.
Negril BK is a great Caribbean Restaurant to experience. My experience at Negril BK was wonderful. The waiter was atttentative and the service was good. I appreciated the live music upon my arrival.
I recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting for a table during the evening/ weekend hours.
Overall cool new spot in the Parkslope area of Brooklyn
I tried the Jerk Salmon, it came with greens mixed with carrots and rice and peas. Meal overall good but the jerk Salmon was smothered in a jerk sauce that was tangy. Not quite what I had in mind; I wanted a spicy taste not a tangy taste. So I was disappointed with the salmon and guessing if I get anything else jerked it will be tangy instead of spicy. I guess if My wife wants to go back ill go but its not for me. Also the macaroni Lobster ive had before not at this establishment but I assume itvwiukd be similar which it was only difference the lobster was nonexistent real microscopic it was like I was fishing for it instead of it being evenly blended. My only conclusion with is that when you spending more $$$ yiuvshouod get what you asked for so that was disappointing.
Lastly customers taking photos next to the glowing sign on the wall while I'm eat with my family as if they haven't eaten in a restaurant before "act like you've been out before"
Authentic Jamaican food in an upscale and upbeat venue. Vibrant scene. Good food.
Experience at this restaurant was nice. The utensils were clean the food was good as well as the drinks. I love the back wall with Love on it .
Overall a good experience
food wasn't bad but wasn't great. i expected jerk salmon to be more jerk and less bbq sauce. wasn't what i know a jerk dish to be at all.
I LOVE visiting Negril Village however driving into the city and looking for parking can discourage me from going. I was so happy that Negril was finally opening a location in BK. I visited this location with my girlfriend, we celebrated our birthday dinner her and was very pleased with the service, drinks and food. Our serer Jamie was the BOMB! He was so sweet and pleasant and gave us a little history on why and how this location came about. My friend and I shared the corn soup, she had the curry salmon and I had the oxtail dinner; the lobster mac n cheese is to die for. For drinks I had the regular Mojito (which is the best ever just like the Village) and she was pleased with her rum punch but after tasting mine switched to Mojitos. I will definitely be back to try a different item from their menu....a must try, you wont be disappointed!
Was a great overall experience for me being there for the first time. Only hiccup was they were short waiters so it took a lil long to order, but one the waiter came to us she was very hospitable and gave great service
Great cocktails - great food - well designed and the staff was very personable and attentive.
Food was delicious, authentic Caribbean. All service was great from seating to table. Happy birthday singers and all. Spacious and comfortable.
Food was fabulous
I have been to Negril in Manhattan, the one in Atlanta, and the original Negril downtown Manhattan early 2000 to 2005 then it closed, but no Negril comes even close to Negril, BK. The location is perfect, central downtown Brooklyn (great for street parking) the ambiance is vibrant as you walk in, and the food....is so good I took a double order and have dinner for the following night. I had my birthday dinner at Negril, BK, and each guest could not stop talking about the restaurant, and the food. The cocktails were also a hit, and lastly, the staff were all incredibly attentive and professional to the very end! 5 Stars for me, and I will be back there within the next 14 days....it is that good!!
If you make reservation on open table you are guaranteed a table. I missed my reservation but the wait for a table after 10 pm was a 20 minute wait and the place was packed
