Ned's Starlite Lounge
A fun dining experience. Large portions of good food. Very riendly & efficient staff.
Great neighborhood place to dine, relax & meet friends.
fun, different, food was good, drink was tasty, but definitely didn't feel like I had 2 drinks, no buzz...lol (the blood orange mohito)
Like your small hometown favorite.... really enjoy the food and service and drinks here.
Interesting mix of 70s vibe with dark interior and leather seats but with large TVs and college football. Food is reasonably priced with crust on chicken fried chicken breast sandwich nice and crispy. Would not recommend the Jess hummus appetizer though as it was hard to eat with large olive and tomato pieces. Not romantic date spot but overall not bad.
Chicken fry and amazing onion rings!
Food and drink is always amazing! Try their burger of the month and a blood orange mojito!
One of the best brunches in OKC! Don’t skip the slaughterhouse Bloody Mary!
Need to update their menu as both times I have been there they no longer carry items that are listed
Celebrated a friend's birthday at Ned's last Saturday evening, August 24th. First time there. Nicely decorated, tucked away on May. Our server, Kat - was on top of her game. Friendly, knowledgeable, timely. Our appetizers were amazing. Drinks were tasty and the entrees were delicious. I don't know if there is a happy hour - if not, I suggest it. Thank you - we'll be back :)
Service and food were excellent! Ned stopped by and said hello too! We will be back!
Great food and service.
All the reviews above mine are true. The good and the bad. Not a place for a quiet dinner but a nice place to hang out with friends/co-worker after work.
Service was good and attentive. The food was good I had the poblano chicken fried steak dinner and the gravy was flavorful but not spicy. Wife had a chicken dish with polenta which she enjoyed. I just feel like it was a bit overpriced for what it was. No real complaints but just a bit higher than warranted.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere fantastic. Enjoyed our lunch.
We were 25 minutes late for reservation and they held table for us. Service was very good. Food was hot and plentiful. Prices are low to moderate great value. We will definitely go back. We were told about the place by family members.
The BEST chicken fried steak we’ve ever had. From appetizers and drinks to dessert, every bite was worth it!
Food was great. Cajun pickles were so good! Loved the poblano chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. Thought it was great place to have drinks and eat. Definitely will go back.
A lot of food! Great service, cool retro vibe interior. Older crowd. Fun place. Food was really good. I'm sure we'll be back.
Ned's has a cool vibe, kinda retro. It was pretty noisy the night we were there, but there was a pretty loud group sitting near us. We all enjoyed our food! Between the 5 of us, we tried the chicken fried steak, burgers, onion rings and salmon. All very good and large portions!
We went for brunch and had a great experience! Ned was extremely hospitable, and the food was absolutely delicious. We will be back!
It was Mother's Day and we were seated at one of the high tables requiring bar stools. 4 of our party were 70+. I asked and they graciously moved us to a regular height table.
The staff could not have been nicer. The food was very good. And we had a very nice experience.
I will return, gladly.
Fantastic food, great service, and very friendly staff. Not necessarily recommended for a special occasion just because of the decor; however, I would definitely recommend otherwise!!!
The good was wonderful. A restaurant where you can actually have a conversation! Loved it.
The chicken fried steak is some of the best I have had. It is too much for one person. You either need to split it or plan on taking some home with you.
I like the restaurant, a very retro vibe.
Ned's was a nice, casual place for surprisingly somewhat upscale options. We started with loaded fries which one should definitely read the description before ordering. While they were good and filling, they were really not something we would normally enjoy. They have a "light" menu which offered a very nice watermelon salad with a very nice chili sauce drizzled on the plate; the feta cheese worked very well with this combination. My husband ended up ordering the shrimp and polenta from the appretizer menu (too full from the fries) and was not disappointed. The service was a little slow on drinks and the lighting could be dimmed to create a better atmosphere but overall we enjoyed and will visit again.
The food was amazing, we come here a lot to eat, just happened to notice on open table that they now have reservations and decided to book through here! The owners and staff are wonderful, have never had a bad meal. The drink menu is top notch. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
The chicken fried steak is amazing, but it’s enough for two. Also the onion rings are great (off menu).
Made reservations but they didn't save best table for us. Food was amazing, creative and generous even though one dish was on the salty side. Ambiance has something to be desired....way to open and bright. Staff was personable and bar tender was excellent.
Absolutely delicous! We love this spot and the spectacular food! I highly recommend the salmon sandwich, unique and incredible!
The absolute best chicken fried steak with country gravy and mashed potatoes. I recommend the peach cobbler dessert. Similarly done like a creme brulee but with more flavor.
Food was alright. Tons of salt used. Salmon sandwich was good. The Nomad burger was drowning in sauce and the pepperoni wasn’t fried. It was just slice pepperoni on the burger. It was more a guest meatball than a nod to the old Nomad restaurant.
Place is kind of loud which is fine. The restroom setup is weird how they both just open to the main dining area. Kind of strange making eye contact with all the diners right when you are coming out of the restroom but I guess it helps pressure people into washing their hands! :-)
Outrageously LOUD Music. While food was great and service very good, don’t ever believe this is a place to go for a relaxing meal. This place is definitely a BAR so know that you’re not going to a 50s Cocktail Lounge. Very disappointing in that respect.
would have liked to have a few more Bfast/brunch options
The table we were seated was a tall bar height table. We had a 1 year old that needed a high chair. It wasn’t tall enough for the table, so the parents had to take turns holding the baby while the other ate.
First time at Ned’s. Very much remember the old Nomad. Neat new vibe. Cocktails very good. Food was superb. We split the chicken fry. We’ll be back.
This is a fun lively place with excellent food and beverage. You must try the onion rings, which aren’t on the menu but fantabulous!
The Poblano Chicken Fried Steak is AMAZING. Bar is arranged well to make it good for adoption as your neighborhood bar for meeting friends on a regular basis. Our only complaint is the parking. Spaces are cramped and hard to get in and out.
Food was amazing. Try the onion rings (not on the menu but ask, they are the best I've ever had!!!) The poblano chicken fried steak was perfect!
