Ned Devine's Irish Pub

Fire alarm went off. Stayed for a long time. Pretty annoying. Besides that it was really good
Dinner was fine. Our waiter was clueless. He forgot our side vegetables and tried to give them to when he handed us our check. Place was empty, no reason for him not to get our order correct.
Food was standard.
He was friendly, just not very good.
Back room was fun, met Rick Middleton and Ray Bourque. Looked like a cool room.
Solid Irish Pub located in the Quincy Market area. Located on the second floor it has a nice overview of the shops around. Service was friendly and attentive while the food was flavorful and well priced. Definitely recommend and will be back!
The Waking Ned Devine drink was AWESOME! Great place to get a drink, hang out and munch on food.
Great Irish Pub in a great location in Boston. The surrounding market place makes for a great spot to grab a meal and your favorite beverage. Enjoy!
Good food and service. Great place for lunch when you only have an hour.
Great value for kids and very friendly service. Good menu
We went to Ned Devine on a Saturday night for dinner and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent! There was plenty to choices of food and beer!
Creativw dishes and comfort food. we had the corned beef and cabbage eggrolls and fries with the curry dip. wonderful variation on a theme. and a kick with tge curry. tastey.
the sheherds pie was very good , but the nashed potatoes wete not quite warm. obvious it was premade and heated. slight disappointment there
only place where there is room for improvement, the servers werr attentive and friendly, but need to pace the meal. we barely got started on our appetizers when our neaks came out. good service allows the table to breathe and people to enjoy the foid with room to eat it. we abandoned the appetizers at first so the main meal would not get cold. going back, was pleSantly surprised that the fries, curry sauce and corned beef rolls werr still warm
Good time, decent beer selection. Great food, excellent service.
Good fish and chips. Pretty good bar with cool ambiance.
We had a family lunch with 5 adults and 3 kids. The food was delicious and service was quick and friendly!
Good food and service. Steak sandwich was superb. Staff were pleasant and attentive.
We were seated promptly. Surprised the server asked for our food order before drink order. So we ordered drinks first. My beer was forgotten. Several of us ordered clam chowder with our meals and strangely the soup arrived with the entree, leaving little table space. The food was very good. After the meal, we weren’t offered more drinks. Not were we offered coffee or dessert. Then the server had difficulty getting the bills straight.
Overall good food but service needs training and experience.
Enjoy the restaurant. Food very good. Do wish they had air cons upstairs
There were five of us that went for dinner and every one of our meals was outstanding!
Pub atmosphere. Excellent service, there when you needed her, not when you didn't. Curry chips (fries with curry dip) was good, pretzel and beer cheese also good. Clam chowder was big hit, Guinness cheese and onion soup also a hit. Entrees: salad, pizza/flatbread, shepherds pie, and Corn beef sandwich were average.
I would eat there again if we were locals. The overall ambience and service more than made up for the average tasting entrées. Price was a little high also but I think that's the case for most of the restaurants in the Boston area. My guess is this will be an awesome place to be to watch a game.
The food and service were excellent. I especially liked the Chowder.
I have been to the restaurant many times before. The food has always been excellent; unfortunately, this time one of my friends steak tips were not cooked properly. We had to wait quite a long time for her meal to come out again. This was a little difficult as we happen to be on a lunch hour.
The waitress came to the rescue and to make up for the delay, took the meal off the menu and offered us some desserts which were delicious. We left the waitress a good tip and thanked her very much. This situation would no preclude us from returning to the restaurant again.
We were in Boston from out of town and were celebrating running in the Boston Marathon!! We had invited family and friends and found out late that they were all coming. Being Easter Sunday and not familiar with restaurant options in the area, we had a recommendation for this restaurant. We were able to make a reservation for a large group and had a wonderful time!! Service was great and the food was good quality. We had a great space and were not rushed. Thank you SO much!!
Really nice. Went for a friends birthday!
Nice atmosphere and cool hangout spot. Also pretty strong drinks
The atmosphere was lively and the menu had more than just pub favorites.
My family and I went out to eat after watching "Blink" at Fanueil Hall for the Christmas holiday. We chose Ned Divine's because of its location and online reviews. When I checked in with the hostess at our reserved time, she seemed confused and not ready for our party. After some shuffling about, our party of 12 was seated at a cozy high-top booth that was perfect for a wintery night. Our large party ordered many of the dishes that were recommended in online reviews--the chowder, fish and chips and shepherd pie. ALL of them were outstanding!! All agreed that the food was worth returning for. Service was somewhat slow, but we noticed that the waitress was alone and working hard to meet the needs of several tables. At the end of our visit, the hostess did apologize for the confusion at the beginning, which I appreciated. We will definitely return to Ned Divine's!
Clam Chowder was delicious!
Quick but not rushed service.
Let's begin with how it was 90 degrees in Boston on the day of our visit. Also, very high humidity. Ned Devine's had no A/C. Or if they did have A/C, and it was running, the net effect was that it made no difference. We may as well have been dining outside, as inside. The quality of the food ordered by myself, my wife, and our friends, was all over the map. My chowdah was very good. My wife's veggie burger had the consistency of playdough, and tasted...bad. One friend had fish and chips and said it was pretty good, but his wife's lobster roll was so poor she at very little of it. The nine year old with our group ordered chicken fingers and fries. She said she couldn't eat either because they were both too greasy for her. Two other friends ordered the same dish. One was quite good. The other was too greasy. Finally, the service was spotty, at best, and both my pint of cider, and my wife's, were served at room temperature. Not cold at all. We'll not be returning to Ned Devine's anytime in the future.
The food was mediocre, price high for the quality, wait staff were fine, had to have food removed from underneath the table and chair from previous customer. Great location but poor quality overall.
Clam chowder was top notch and the beer battered chicken tenders while simply seasoned came accompanied with a light but tasty honey mustard dipping sauce that completed it well
Hood pub food fun place
Fun, good food. Bar food but with Mew England flair. Would go again anytime!
Great fries and lobster grilled cheese! Nice service!
a glass of wine, two microbrews, lemonaide
lobster baked mac & cheese, a fish & chips platter
Total before tip: $75.
The portion size was fine and the food was brought to the table hot I was not overly impressed.
The elbow macaroni was way overcooked, which is not uncommon, but for $28 you'd think they'd get it right.
The pints of IPA were 7.50 - that's a price that will sober you up...
Day after Thanksgiving. Expected enthusiastic and pleasant lunch. We arrived 30 min early for our reservation, went to bar to wait. Bartender barely spoke. We're seated about 5 min after reservation time. Then waited. And waited. 15 min before we asked hostess to find waitress. 20 min before drink orders taken. I saw actress bring drinks to bar. Watched barman do nothing with our order for at least 10-15 min. 30 min before drinks appeared. 55 min before lunch appeared. I never got chowder I ordered. Burger was almost well done. I ordered it medium rare. Watched tables near us come and go. My husband walked out and sat outside until we were done he was so mad.
I've worked as waitstaff, hostess, bus person. I always over tip. This was the worst worst service I have ever experienced, bar none. I would have been embarrassed to work there. I will never return to ND's and will actively discourage anyone from going there.
Stopped on for a bite before the U 2 concert and was not disappointed.Upstairs is nice and roomy . Bar area is nice . Food was solid . Burgers were huge and tasty . Guinness was delishhhhh. Highly recommend.
A little dark inside and lunchtime but there were too many of us to sit at the lovely tables outside. The staff were courteous and friendly and the burgers, BLT's, chicken sandwiches, etc all arrived promptly at the same time and the presentation was nice. One of the people in our party only had an hour and had plenty of time to eat and get back to work. I would go back to Ned Devines. Looks like it would be a great place to have a function!
A little disappointed. This was just a generic bar/restaurant. Nothing really special. Had the hamburger which was passable Nothing special here.
Fantastic place. Great for lunch with family or romantic place to get away. The inside has the coolest vibe.
They recommend me to eat their famous award winning clam chowder. Honestly it was by far the worst. It was watery and not what you expect to find in Boston. The waiter was extremely rude and didn't really care much. We then ordered the mac and cheese and it tasted awful. They waiter didn't even bother to ask if I want anything else and just gave us the check and disappeared. Horrible place!
The atmosphere is unusually pleasant at this energetic pub. Faneuil Halll can be frenetic during the holiday season, but Devine's somehow manages to maintain the atmosphere of a soothing oasis amidst the bustle, even though they are busy and people are coming and going. Maybe it's the carefully selected music, or perhaps it's the attractive decor, but everyone in our large party, including the young kids, heaved a sigh of relief when we were seated promptly at our reservation time. The food was remarkably good for pub fare. We particularly enjoyed the cubano sandwich and the kale salad, but everything was delicious. Will definitely go again.
