   The restaurant itself was very nice and was a beautiful setting. The staff was very polite. The wait for the food was too long. We made reservations for 8:00pm and we didn’t get our food until 9:20pm. When our food finally came out my dish was cold. I was very disappointed.

   Great from start to finish. Our waitress Maylise (I’m sorry if I spelled this wrong) was outstanding. Food and drinks were delicious. Only note is it’s very bright in the dining room.

    Had a delicious main course (trifungo with skirt steak). The salad we ordered as an app was underwhelming. The cocktails were creative and quite good. Best meal we had in PR and I’ll definitely be back on our next visit to the island.

    My food was amazing, I loved our waitress. Only complaints were that you could tell you were in a hotel food area. Kids running around, literally riding scooters around the restaurant. Also my husband’s food was very greasy and it was served on a flat wood plate, so the grease ran all over the table and all over my husbands lap.

    Great experience. Loved the food. The hostess went above and beyond. Asked her to take family photo outside and was so happy to do so. Definitely recommend for a taste of real Puerto Rican food. Loved the mofongo. First time trying it.

    Accesibilidad del open table, excelente, tuve que llamarlos y me contestaron con amabilidad y me resolvieron. Ambiente y ruido moderado, atención excelente. Pero mi disgusto fue en la comida. Pagar tan caro para que la comida, parte de ella fuera plástico o no de verdad fue muy desagradable. No lo recomiendo.

    Very less customizable options and if you are allergic or trying to remove a particular meat or seafood from your order, almost no way to do it. No fault of restaurant since it is all pre-mixed per the info the waiter gave me but just setting expectations for future diners. My personal preference was no beef or pork and it was hard to find a menu option that wasn't vegan. Went with a couple of entrees that didn't turn out great but it's personal preference.

    Food was FANTASTIC! Authentic Puerto Rican dish! We had the Bifongo and went with the recommendation from the waiter. The dessert was just as delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there twice during our stay. The server knew the menu and how to pair proteins and sauces with the choice of mofongo, bifongo or trifongo. Highly recommend for a taste of Puerto Rico!

    This was our first time trying authentic Puerto Rican food. Jesus S was patient, answered all of our questions and helped us choose some amazing dishes to try. We came back 2 days later for more of the yummy food and his great service.

    This was our 2nd visit in a week! We had to go back for more Del Pilon and asked for our same waiter Jose! This time we ordered stuffed tostones with ropa veija, 2 trifongos one with skirt steak and chimichurri and one with shrimp and creole. We had room for dessert and had the flan and coconut pineapple quatro leches cake! Food and service was fantastic! Highly recommend making a visit whether on vacation or a local! We learned the chef had a food truck and just opened up the restaurant in October! They serve lunch and dinner! Definitely will come back next time we are in PR!

    My boyfriend and I heard about Nectar from multiple hyatt staff members so on our first full day, we decided to go. And email I got from the Resort Director had said that “Nectar does not take advanced reservations and only accepts walk ins.” However, not the case, definitely make one. We ended up making one and just arrived early to see if they could fit us in and they could! Jose was our waiter, I saw positive comments about him on this app so I was thrilled to have him! He is super kind and gave excellent recommendations for the most authentic experience (didn’t just tell you the most expensive item). The food did take a bit longer than expected but Jose let us know and had apologized for the delay, which was appreciated. Once the food came, we were in heaven. I said “mmmmm” after every bite! We each got the Del Pilon! I asked Jose what he would get for himself which was Bifongo base with Skirt Steak and Chimichurri sauce, so I ordered that and my boyfriend also got the Bifongo but got the Seafood Mix with the Island Mojo sauce, he really wanted some octopus! The meal was large and filling! But we had some room to share dessert so we got the Flan, it was so good, nice and thick and rich and a nice hint of caramel! So glad we went and had a lovely dinner! Highly recommend for good service and authentic food!

    The ambiance was nice except for the music indoor which was so loud you couldn’t hold a conversation. If the waiter can’t here me ask about the wine list your music is too loud. Second, the appetizers were great! However, my food when it came out was so underwhelming. The rice and beans was the same exact rice and beans that I had earlier that day from the food truck by the pool. The steak served with it was good but nothing to pay $35 for the entire plate about. Especially considering at the pool truck I got the rice and beans, plantains, avocado, and pork for the low price of $19. Lastly, dessert was also lackluster with no real pop or pizazz. I definitely feel there were better restaurants in San Juan or Luquillo that would have charged me less for the authentic cuisine I was aiming for.

    My dinner was i edible, my husband’s was ok at best. We said this when manager asked how meals were. He looked surprised, hesitated, then said “ok, let know if you need anything,” and walked away. Didn’t expect 5 star, but expected more being it’s on the grounds of Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve. They are not owned by the resort, but Hyatt should be aware they are representing their brand.

    Nectar’s strength is the impeccable service from everyone at this resort. Truly it felt like one of the best treatments of customers in Puerto Rico. But the food we had (pastelón, whole fish, and flan to finish) was just ok, the type of mid-level Puerto Rican cuisine that is a staple in criollo restaurants around the island. For our taste, the ambiance was missing in action. It just seems like an expansive and minimalist space that caters to resort guests.

    There were no heavier choices on the menu. We sent one thing back and should have sent another back. I was sick all night long from my dinner. It was over priced and the food was not good. It was so loud-I couldn’t hear the conversation at my table. Not going back-very disappointed.
