Carla and Christine, the co-owners, were inspired by the home-cooked meals they remember their mother preparing each day when the family lived in the North End. NEBO's menu continues the Italian tradition of sharing amongst family and friends prepared using the freshest ingredients. Enjoy house made bread, rustic Italian dishes and a variety of pizza and drink any of the 100 Italian wines or unique cocktails while surrounded by a view of Boston’s beautiful skyline and the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
Nebo offers FREE validated parking for up to 3 hours @ Atlantic Wharf Garage - 280 Congress Street. Valid Monday – Saturday / 11am – 3am
We waited over 20 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order. When we let them know how long we had waited they apologized but never offered a free app or something! And they charge for bread!
I had a great experience last time I was here but the service outside was really slow - like my boyfriend got his food 20 minutes before me and I ordered a gluten free pasta, for which I almost got handed a regular bolognese but I realized it didn’t look right so it got sent back. Overall the meal just took a long time and I wasn’t as impressed as last time I went.
We arrived a bit early for a reservation and were able to be seated, but we would've hung out at the bar if they were unable to do so - it was nice they could accommodate. The food was absolutely delicious - I had the pappardelle bolognese - the pasta was perfect and the bolognese was the best I've had. We had the polpettine (meatballs) to start - also delicious. Make sure to order bread to dip in their amazing sauce! Atmosphere is casual and unpretentious - just good food and wonderful service.
Well, Nebo glad you reopened! However, we did not have a good experience. The server was new, very sweet but not very good. Took my drink order but not my husbands! Asked for bread, never got it. Branzino poorly presented (no greens, no lemon just plunked on a plate). Manager asked how everything was going and proceeded to cut up my husband fish for him. I know she was trying to be helpful but was a bit awkward leaning over him. Ordered a caprese salad to accompany our meal. Came as an appetizer. Servicer brought me another glass of wine but not my husband. Ha! Alas, my bolognese was very good. No matter where you sit, the restaurant is super loud.
Wonderful for sidewalk dining on a summer night. The food was excellent - flavorful and well presented. Our server - Graci - was very acoomodating, knwledgeable and warm.
The service and the food was amazing. I can’t wait for my next trip to Boston to head there.
Stella was fantastic. As always, the expansive gluten free menu was appreciated. While drinks took a while, they were all well made.
We met friends at NEBO because it was their favorite restaurant pre-COVID-19. They were excited that it was open again. Our experience, however, was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow and the wait staff was inattentive. After asking for a few minutes to look over the menu, we had to flag her down after 20 minutes so we could order drinks and dinner. We had to request more water numerous times and even had to ask for bread—at an Italian restaurant! The Caprese Salad should not have been on offer because the tomatoes were hard and flavorless; not yet ripe. We had had many delicious ripe tomatoes at B&Bs and small restaurants in Vermont that week, so it shouldn't have been hard for an expensive Italian restaurant in Boston to find ripe tomatoes. The Bolognese sauce was bland and lacked flavor. Again, an Italian restaurant in Boston should have flavorful Bolognese sauce as a staple on the menu. My wife did enjoy her zucchini lasagne and our guests appreciated the gluten-free options. This was the first time at NEBO for me and my wife. We hope they improve now that they are able to operate fully again.
Another excellent meal. Service was very good also
Terrible! Horrible! Awful!
I cannot believe how this restaurant stays in business! The staff is beyond incompetent.
We went to Nebo because it was right next door to the Intercontinental Hotel where we were staying. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children.
The first red flag was that it took forever for the waiter to serve us our drink order. My husband and I ordered 2 octopus appetizers and 1 fried calamari for the boys to share. I explained explicitly that the boys were going to share a pizza as their entree to be served with our entrees which were zucchini lasagna and spaghetti w clams. Second red flag… the appetizers took an inordinate amount of time to arrive. Ok. We were hungry. We ate.
Third red flag… the pizza came! Our boys proceeded to eat, we waited. We waited. We waited. We waited. No one asked if we wanted a second glass of wine. I finally stopped the waiter and asked where our entrees were. He literally did not understand me! I rephrased the question and said, “Where is our food?” He said the kitchen is busy and backed up. I asked why did the boys get the pizza before we were served. He replied, I thought they wanted it. I think he forgot to put our orders in! We waited another long period of time and finally my husband spoke to the manager, Brian and explained the situation.
Fourth red flag… Brian was rude, condescending and obnoxious. He was so belligerent and saw nothing wrong that we were sitting there waiting fir our dinners while the boys were all finished with their meal. At that point my husband asked fir the checked and said we were leaving.
Fifth and final red flag, Brian said he took the price of the entrees off of the bill as if he was doing us a favor! I explained to him that we never got the entrees! He threw the check on the table with a sarcastic attitude. I cannot believe how rude he was to us. We went to Smith and Wollensky around the corner and The Palm during our stay and both were exceptional! Go there instead!!!
Stella was amazing, Great service 10/10
We went there for our anniversary in the afternoon. Staff was very courteous even though it was but during the busy dinner rush. Food was delicious.
Waiter was terrific. Good was great. Very very loud inside but atmosphere was still enjoyable.
So many gluten free options …felt like I was “normal” in an Italian restaurant!!! Awesome food
Service was great, apps were ok, pastas were unfortunately just over oily and sadly not very good. Service was great.
We had a fantastic dinner at Nebo last night. We enjoyed the bruschetta aglio e olio and burrata for apps. Parpadelle bolognese and gnocchi for our entrees. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine, some cappuccinos and a deconstructed cannoli for dessert. The food was delicious, but the service was even better. Graziella is what are waitresses should aspire to be. She was very professional and incredibly friendly. She was attentive but not over the top. Graziella deserves a big shout out! 10/10 would recommend!
Always the best. The best Italian food in Boston. The sisters are outstanding hosts. A must if your in Boston. Park in Congress Street Garage(they validate) come in the back door and enjoy!
Great to be back. We really missed it here. The food was great. The veal milanese, zucchini lasagna and arancini are favorites. The service was great and the Pallotta sisters presence and kindness make you feel welcome and show pride in their craft. Always order a pizza or 2 to go for later.
Our Server was amazing and very welcoming to us. It was our first time at Nebo, and my wife has gluten allergies. The server walked us through everything without ever making us feel stupid. The meal was delicious (I highly recommend the eggplant lasagna- This coming from a big carnivore!) and we would have loved to stay and eaten more but had a prior reservation that we needed to make. Next time we visit Boston; Nebo then Legal Seafood are going on the reservation list! Thank you again for an amazing experience!
Always outstanding, wonderful, clean Italian food. The best pizza in the city!
Nebo is always delicious and a celebratory meal! A bit pricey but worth the splurge for a special occasion!
Wonderful experience here at this restaurant. I will say that there was non official kids menu but they were willing to work with us. That being said, the meals came out at adult prices and actually barely filled my 5 and 12 year old.
They were so accommodating but I just would say kids menu and prices would be appreciated is all for families.
Loved it otherwise.
Acqua Pazza was
fresh and flavorful and delicate
Budino is extraordinary!
Lovely evening! Our first time there. Brought a friend who lives close by. The space is great! Good energy and very nice staff! Graziella was our server and she was terrific. Creative cocktails and excellent food made for a fun and delicious night.
We hadn’t been there since before the pandemic and we were very disappointed. One of our appetizers was forgotten about and never brought out. The gnocchi dish we had, the pasta wasn’t cooked fully and was practically doughy and chewy. The lasagna dish was fine as was the pizza but for the exorbitant prices being charged there, I can’t see myself ever going back there unless work is paying for it.
Excellent restaurant will excellent ambience and food which tasted like it was fresh from an Italian village. The wait staff was too notch and very helpful in helping us decide. All the food was amazing but some highlights were the veal cutlets, lasagna and pizzas. Couldn’t get enough. Look forward to going back next time I’m in Boston
Great meal, great place! We had the pasta and pizza, both were delicious. We will be back.
Delicious food. Attentive service. Quiet atmosphere, though we dined rather early. Definite return when next nearby.
Great service and very friendly and knowledgeable staff!!
The food is not appealing. Patrons have to pay for water and bread which sets the tone for the experience. The staff need lots of training. There was nothing good about the experience and I’m a frequent diner.
Great service and people who truly care about your dining experience
Amazing as always!! Love this place.
Excellent experience. Friendly staff, great server, delicious food, redunculous fried dough dessert, good time with family.
I did not know what to expect but wow everything was excellent. I had the zucchini lasagna and it was top notch.
One of my favorite places! Great staff and great food!
Great food. Glad to have this place re-opened.
Service was exceptional, some delay in the appetizers, but all in all a wonderful night, excellent gluten free choices on the menu.
Great service & food was fantastic esp for our gluten sensitivities!! We will be back!
Awesome restaurant, Carla and Christine as owners/chefs are so caring, food is delicious, servers are friendly and courteous, go and enjoy!
Great meal and great service! We very much enjoyed our evening at Nebo's
