Carla and Christine, the co-owners, were inspired by the home-cooked meals they remember their mother preparing each day when the family lived in the North End. NEBO's menu continues the Italian tradition of sharing amongst family and friends prepared using the freshest ingredients. Enjoy house made bread, rustic Italian dishes and a variety of pizza and drink any of the 100 Italian wines or unique cocktails while surrounded by a view of Boston’s beautiful skyline and the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

Saw this restaurant profiled on a regional New England dining show and wanted to try it. Glad we did. Server was personable, helpful and knowledgeable offering recommendations. Meals were excellent, rigatoni dish and a shrimp scampi dish. Terrific flavor & nice and hot (temp). Pastas were house-made. Spumoni Sundae for dessert is a must try! Excellent dining experience, recommended, will return.
Peter & Ann,
Top service, great food, great environment
Nebo is a reasonable place for dinner. This is near the financial district so it has more of a corporate culture. You can generally get a reservation the day before (friday for saturday) which is rare in Boston. The service is top notch. The staff really wants you to enjoy your visit. Prices are reasonable. Menu variety is good. Stay away from the crazy stuff like Bobby Flay's (? really) awful zucchini lasagna. The calamari appetizer is the best. Very tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, larger rings reduce the ratio of breading to calamari and it's a winner. The veal was an excellent presentation and nicely done. Several exciting flatbread pizzas. We had the prosciutto and fig. The let down was the fig jam instead of a nicer fig preparation.
My husband and I think this is hands down the best Italian food in all of Boston! (My husband tends to be a harsh critic - he’s Italian and he is an excellent cook!)
Another plus of NEBO, one does not have to navigate the close quarters and big crowds in the North End! You must try the ZUCCHINI LASAGNA “Bobby Flay” and the VEAL MILANESE. We can’t help ourselves, we get it almost every time! The service is first rate and you are treated like a valued guest, not a number. There is a dedicated gluten-free menu that is very close to the regular menu - Ie: prepared with the same extra special care as non-GF items, and equally as tasty! It’s one of those restaurants that you remember the tastes and experience for a long time.
Food was fantastic! Service was wonderful. Our waitress was knowledgeable and made helpful suggestions. It was loud, but not in an unreasonable manner.
Great meal. Very noisy.
Amazing experience - perfect service and delicious food
As usual the food was amazing!!! Best in Boston!!! Our waitress could not have been nicer. She was very attentive and right on top of everything. Of course I can’t remember her name but she had her name on her necklace. Lol she was amazing!! I will definitely be asking for her again!!! Can’t wait to go back. Which will be very soon. 10 stars!!!
I had a wonderful experience at Nero. Food was delicious And they were very accommodating? Don’t skip the bread - it was Devine!
So great to be back at NEBO. The food was as wonderful as ever. Still really loud in there.
Really disappointing and terrible experience. Food was bland and super overpriced for what you get. Service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. Go elsewhere. Boston has so many other great Italian restaurants. Would not be surprised if this places closes its doors.
It was so loud in the restaurant it was ridiculous. People
Were actually screaming. Very uncomfortable. Food and service was excellent!
We ate outside a little noisy but nice to people watch
Our server was awesome very attentive
Octopus appetizer was excellent
Pasta with scallops was amazing
My Lemon Drop martini was perfect
A very enjoyable evening
You won't be disappointed
The service is impeccable, the ambience wonderful, and the gluten free menu outstanding- Highly recommend Nebo!
I was there for a business dinner and was given a window table away from the bar. We had a very acceptable business level conversation. The waiter was very patient and accommodating to and with us and gave us time to talk and order food and drinks at our pace. The food was so good - app, salad, entre and desert.
I will definitely go back and highly recommend Nebo.
Our waitress was the best! She remembered serving me the last time and exactly what I got!
Food was prompt and delicious.
I come here often as it is a very safe place for Gluten Free dining.
We were there on a Tuesday night and it was VERY loud...
Very enjoyable experience!
We wanted an evening meal without having to walk to the North End. This was right next to the intercontinental hotel and we noticed it on our walk back. We made a reservation and it was lovely. We ate outside and yes there was the traffic noise but it felt safer. We even had a rainbow! The salads were great and the caprese pizza we shared was sensational. Our server was attentive and the food arrived promptly but we never felt rushed.
Dishes lacked their typical flavor
My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed are dinner out at Nebo last night. Our server Michael was spectacular, very attentive and knowing we were heading out to a concert after, he kept us closely apprised of when our food would come out. The pizza we ordered was delicious and we both felt good value for what we got in terms of food/drink. The noise level increased during our time there, but that was merely the natural result of boisterous diners enjoying themselves around us, but regardless still easy to maintain a conversation. Will definitely return!
Nebo is always a perfect night out. The staff is so friendly, food delicious, and ambiance relaxing.
Nebo was wonderful! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the great weather. At the recommendation of our waitress, Tammie, we ordered the Tagliatelle Cappesante and the Vitello Milanese. Both were excellent! We shared a Caprese salad (excellent, as well) and a bottle of Super Tuscan wine. For dessert we had Espresso Martinis (black). Wines are offered at all price points so the wine list was not at all intimidating and the Espresso Martinis were some of the best we have had. Tammie was very attentive and personable and allowed us to set the pace so we were able to have a very relaxed and enjoyable dinner. We look forward to going back.
This lovely restaurant with brick, yes brick, ceiling has terrific food and a great selection of dishes from antipasti, primi, secondi and desserts. In addition, they have a wonderful bar area and outside dining for those nice days. Our server, Sonny, was great and most helpful. The burrata was sensational and would highly recommend it.
Everything you expect to happen - happened. Seated right away - Waitress clicked with us right away asking if we have ever been at Nebo before and recommended a few things- not pushy at all just a sweet kid. I can’t believe that everything we ordered was yummy - so good that my daughter & I split dessert and my husband ordered another pizza! Just go and give it a chance- FYI my 1st review ever! Probably my last
Great location, layout and food options. Excellent recommendations by the waiter to help new customers! We’ll be coming again!
Lasagne dish was excellent (and award winning!).
Great service, pasta was good, mare shrimp pizza was alright, probably wouldn’t order it again.
I have not dined in Boston in months due to a cutback in business trips to Boston. So, I super thrilled that Nebo has finally reopened!! The quality and service remain unchanged from prior pre-Covid lockdown experiences.
Great gluten free options!!
This is a great restaurant for people with a variety of tastes - everything from pizza to meat dishes. Great gravy. Great desserts!
The good food we expected, and the patio was open - even better for a cooler summer night.
Multiple options for gluten-sensitive dining! I hadn't been to Nebo in a few years, and what a wonderful meal and service we had on our return visit! From their gluten-free menu, I enjoyed the pulpo, calamari, Caprese salad, zucchini lasagna with Bolognese and the torta di cioccolatto for dessert. Food was delicious: especially liked the lightness/non-greasiness of the calamari, and the taste/texture of the zucchini lasagna. Oh, and we each loved every part of the Bellini flight for our beverages. Felt especially grateful to get a table for two by the window: worked well for both sound (not as loud) and distance from other dining patrons.
Excellent Italian cuisine and very friendly and accommodating staff.
The best gluten free menu
Our first time at Nebo was a 9:45 pm reservation due to late arrival in the city. Restaurant wasn’t very crowded so noise level can’t be truly evaluated. Bar had quite a few patrons! Server was excellent! Timely, thoughtful and was very personable. He made our visit just perfect!! I finished my glass of Merlot and decided to have a little of the bottle of Rose that was ordered at the table. He was refilling two glasses and walked away with the bottle - and I thought oh no! He came back with a clean flute for me instead of pouring in my wine glass as I was offering!! So my kudos to him (my apologies that I have forgotten his name as I made a point to try and remember!). The food: Antipasti: Calamari Fritti - light batter, great dipping sauce, just a little chewy. I had the Polenta Con Scampi - shrimp, lemon butter, garlic, parsley, grilled polenta, baccala mantecato - the polenta was like a cloud! Light and flavorful, the perfect match to the lemon, garlic and grilled shrimp. An excellent sized portion - I thought I would have leftovers- but it was too delicious to stop eating. Others ordered Tagliatelle Cappesante - lemon pasta with scallops; Pappardelle Alla Bolognese; Vitelli Milanese - veal cutlet with arugula salad; and a Tradizionale Pizza. Dessert - Spumoni Sundae and Flourless Chocolate Cake. The cake was my favorite! You could taste the espresso to enhance the chocolate flavor!! Perfect ending to the meal. Thank you Nebo kitchen staff & servers!!
The timing of the courses was off - they brought our entrees when we were still eating our appetizers. They took our entrees back to the kitchen “to keep them warm,” but when they returned to the table they had obviously been under a heat lamp and did not look appetizing and were still on the cold side. Our server was great and apologized profusely.
If you want a small amount of average "Italian" food extremely overpriced, then go here. Otherwise, check out a real Italian restaurant.
Gabriella was a wonderful waitress who gave us great recommendations. Food was incredible and we would absolutely come back.
