    Overall we had a wonderful dinner for my Mom’s 96th birthday! It was a little crowded with tables together but otherwise we enjoyed it.

    The food was excellent and our server was attentive without being intrusive which boosted our enjoyment of the evening. We also enjoyed the wines he recommended to us. The noise level inside was moderate and we were able to carry on a conversation without raising our voices. We ordered calamari, scallops with risotto, and halibut with asparagus on the side. The calamari was tender, even the large pieces. The scallops were perfectly cooked, tender and sweet, while the halibut flaked beautifully under my fork and had a nice, clean flavor. The asparagus were just right with a little bit of crunch, not mushy or tough. However the standout might be the risotto which was prepared with a of cheese (parmesan?) and herbs and contrasted with the scallops without overwhelming them. Finally, before we ordered dinner the bar tender prepared a Manhattan cocktail using an orange twist, and a brandied cherry. The scent of orange before my first sip really made the drink.

    Sat outside with our dog, Divot and shared 4 appetizers that were all excellent! Service very attentive and pleasant.

    We had an early dinner there and they weren’t super busy so I asked the server and bartender to surprise me with a cocktail to complement the meal. They came up with a great one. Sort of a spin on a dirty cherry coke. After the meal the bartender came to our table and talked bourbon with us for a while. I’m sorry we didn’t get their names but they were both great. Oh yeah, the food was excellent too.

    The service is just the best. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The food is always delicious and the wine selection is superb.
