Went here for a birthday dinner. Our server Whitney was amazing and energetic. We loved having her as our server for our special occasion. We ordered the chef’s board, which she recommended but we already knew about it from eating here for our birthday celebration for the last 4 years. The views of the sound from the restaurant are gorgeous. Even during sunset hour. We love coming here every year!

Very attractive restaurant right on the water with stunning views of the Sound (especially at sunset). Wonderful Southern food with a modern twist, beautifully prepared. Terrific service. Highly recommend.

We had a great anniversary dinner here. Worth the drive up from Manteo! They know how to cook (and not overcook) their seafood. Everything was delicious (lemon dill scallops, steamed shrimp, NC Coast), and great view over the Sound.

The food was absolutely amazing. We had the tomahawk pork chop and the scallops. It was very delicious and exceeded our expectations. It’s very loud in there. It’s just one wide open room. I forgot how loud it was there but overall great experience.

First let me say that we have eaten at NC Coast probably 10 times before this experience. Overall we had a wonderful time as usual. The only issue was the service was mediocre which was disappointing. We will still come back just hope we get a different server!

First visit and I'm sure we'll be back. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the menu, easily answering our questions about preparation and ingredients. The tomahawk pork chop with bacon jam was so delicious. It was juicy, full of great flavor and because of the long bone you essentially get a really great pork chop and a nice meaty rib. My wife had the grilled chicken over home made pappardelle with button mushrooms and broccolini in a mustard cream sauce. Again, terrific flavor, although the sauce could have been a tad thicker.

This is our favorite restaurant in Duck. We ordered the Chef’s Board which was spectacular! Get a table by the window for a view of the sunset. We come to OBX every year in the winter and make a beeline for Coastal.
