NAYA Mezze & Grill
Welcome to NAYA, a modern Lebanese-Mediterranean Mezze and Grill serving traditional Lebanese fare in a contemporary setting. NAYA is a combination of pure tradition mixed with innovation.
Building upon the original techniques and recipes of older generations of Lebanese women, NAYA offers the same respected delicacies from mezze to salads to perfectly char-grilled and seasoned barbecue meats and fish.
Delicious fatouch, amazing mixed grill! If you want to try an authentic Lebanese cuisine, that's the place to go to!!
The restaurant is long and narrow which gives it a modern but cosy feel. Everything we ordered was delicious - muhamarra, pumpkin kibbeh, and the special lamb meatballs in tomato sauce to name a few. Have eaten at NAYA express - their fast food restaurant - which is also excellent! Not necessarily going to blow your mind but generally very good Lebanese.
Service and food were really good. We had a wonderful time.
Delicious mezze offerings. Baba ghanoush, fattoush, hummus, kibbe all fabulous. Muhammara too sweet for me, but I am more used to the Syrian variety. Mixed grill plate was very, very tasty. And loved ALL the sauces that came w all the dishes! Warm service. Lovely place for authentic Lebanese.
I have been at NAYA fo many times and the food has been always delicious, fresh and so tasty! I highly recommend this place.
It was my birthday. Came with my boyfriend and had a lovely dinner. Great staff, quiet ish place with low noise.
Wrote in the reservation that it’s my birthday, and the restaurant staff delivered dessert with candles. :)
No Halal menu vegetarian is the choice or sea food
We (party of three) visited on a quiet Sunday evening. We were seated in what I assume is used mostly as a private function room adjoining the kitchen. It was a quiet, lovely experience with truly excellent food and attentive service. I'm no connoisseur of Lebanese cuisine, but I have some experience of it in other major cities. I don't believe I've ever had better.
The mezze were fabulous. We told them we were there for the Sat/Sun Molokhie special, but they led us to believe they had it, but in reality they chose not to tell us they didn't have it until after we were served all our mezze and were invested in this dinner. I called earlier in the week to make sure they had it, they said yes. We traveled in from central New Jersey specifically for the molokhie, and were very disappointed. It's not a popular item, and it's very unlikely that at 6pm they had run out. We ordered four entrees. The eggplant was swimming in yogurt and only half was eaten, the other half too mushy. The baked kibbe came with nothing else on the plate, just a big round piece of kibbe, very dry, and black and burnt on all edges. The mixed grill looked good and grilled veggies nice. The rice pilaf also looked very good, but NONE of that came with the kibbe. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Great Food. Great Experience. Highly recommend Naya.
The best course was the dessert (Baklava). The mezzes were mediocre at best. Service was just ok to us compared to other tables, which I find to be bizarre.
I keep going back to Naya on a regular basis. The food is outstanding. The service is personal and very attentive and engaging.
I would not hesitate to recommend Naya to anyone. This place will give you first hand experience and flavor of outstanding Lebanese cuisine.
Great food at a reasonable price
awesome place. Food is delicious. Everything I've ordered so far as been fabulous. Highly recommend.
Very friendly waiters, great atmosphere and well priced food!
This time, the food was not great. Naya's food tends to vary from one visit to the other sometimes much better and sometimes a little less. Consistency is important to maintain customers. I will give them another try since they are mostly good.
I was satisfied with my experience for sure! The servers were prompt and polite. The place had a very relaxed and comfortable ambience. Needless to say, the food was incredible! I really liked it because it was unique and definitely felt like we were "not in NYC." Would definitely recommend this place to anyone for any occasion! Versatile, delicious, and inviting!
I love this place. The individual booths are cool for either a date or a place for two friends to just catch up. The low lighting and neutral decor make for a chill vibe.
All together reliable and delicious. This was my 4th time here and I always opt to do a variety of small apps as a meal. It gives you the chance to try all of the flavors and get a real feel for the food.
Great food and service. Highly recommend!
I have dined at Naya's several years ago shortly after opening. I was so impressed as to how they utilized a "barrel shotgun" type of structure and created a magnificent restaurant. A few years later, during my recent visit, the high quality of the furnishings utilized clearly showed---they have remained unblemished---the quality of the food and ingredients they utilize is of the utmost quality, everything was just outstanding. Can't wait till my next visit.
We’ve been to Naya Express on multiple occasions for lunch and expected a different experience for dinner at this restaurant. The majority of the dishes are the same as in Naya Express but almost 3x the price. The experience wasn’t worth what we paid.
We love Naya and visit often! Other than having to repeatedly ask for fresh pita, which was delivered the third time. The experience was outstanding. Will always be a customer.
Truly authentic, inviting, fun, and highly recommend it to everyone and anyone!
My companion is Lebanese and said everything reminded her of her grandmother's cooking and we both enjoyed greatly. The Tabouleh is to die for.
Excellent food and service. Enjoyed the meal completely.
Hostess was hostile and acted surprised as if our reservation didn’t exist; we had to wait 20min past the booked time and table wasn’t ready.
Great restaurant but can’t accommodate parties larger than 2-3 even thought the app allowed me to book a table for 6.
Really unfortunate experience, don’t recommend trying to go there with more than 2 people.
This place is excellent!! Great food and very friendly service! It was my favorite meal while visiting New York!
Had a 5:30pm reservation and requested a table with chairs instead of a booth. I was assured this would be no problem. On my way to dinner I called at 5:30pm to confirm my request. I was put on hold, talked to 3 different people all who were confused. Maybe it was their first day? Finally, a gentleman answered the phone and said it would be no problem. I arrived at 5:30 only to be told I could only sit in the back till 6:30 because they have a large party coming. Fine, we sat at the booth. We left at 7:30pm and there was still no one sitting in the back, so we could of sat there but the staff isn’t interested in being accommodating customers with disabilities (could not get my wheelchair in and couldn’t sit at booth etc.).
Service: We were just handed menus and they are asking for our drink order. We asked for 2 more minutes and the waitress just stood there, tapping her pen, waiting for us. She did the same thing for our dinner order. So, instead of ordering a bottle of wine - we got glasses. Instead of ordering multiple entrees and dinner we got less.
The portions were so small. Ambiance is nice. However, as long-time customers we won’t be back.
Hi Tina, We're very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone and your experience at dinner that evening does not meet our standards. We would like to send you a private message in order to look into the situation further.
First of all the ambiance in the place is very cool. Whoever came up with the concept for the booths was brilliant, because it is an odd-shaped space. The food is reliably wonderful and the service is always very friendly. Neighborhood delight!
Great food and great service!!
Our waiter was very helpful with wine and food recommendations. Excellent service
Great service, great ambiance and most importantly, great food
Food was too heavy and nothing special. Wine was a good size pour but also nothing special.
The chicken shawarma wrap was very dry. Appetizers were ok but wouldn't go back based on entrees.
Food was really good but the service left a bit to be desired.
I have been so many times in this restaurant over the years. The food is so good! Every time that I bring friends they keep coming back. Love this place!!!
The service was horrible. I sat for over 15 mins with no service. I finally was able to flag down the hostess and let her know I was ready to order. After another 10 mins with no wait service, I left. And yes there were a couple of waiters and I saw them going repeatedly to other tables. The food looked delicious on the other tables but service awful. I would not recommend.
Spectacular wait staff and exquisite food!!
This is a great find. Excellent food and service in a lovely setting.
Service and menu very fine especially as we had to do an early dinner
