We recently dined at Naxos greek taverna and found myself with mixed feelings. The ambience is undeniably lovely—warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a relaxed Mediterranean vibe that makes you want to linger. It’s a beautiful setting for a casual dinner or a special night out. The service was friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. However, the food left me a bit disappointed. While the menu promised a fusion Greek cuisine, I was surprised by the heavy use of butter in many dishes. Greek food is traditionally cooked with olive oil, which gives it its signature flavor and health benefits. The excessive butter altered the expected taste and made some dishes feel unnecessarily rich. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with great service.

Great experience! Our server Garett made our dinner even better with his food descriptions and wine recommendations! He checked on us every time he passed by and poured wine whenever a glass was low… huge points for that! The food itself was delicious and cooked perfectly. Flavors were on point and served at the perfect temp to our whole table at the same time. Best appetizer was the hamachi, best entree- so many we couldn’t decide. Dessert- get the pistachio olive oil gelato it was to die for! I will say it was a little pricey but well worth it. I don’t mind paying for top service and great food! 5 stars all around!

We've been here so many times. The food is great and the waiters are always great. But the guy at the front was not nice, nor welcoming. I'm assuming he was a manager. It put a pretty bad taste in my mouth. We had our baby with us and he gave me a look and said , "is it nap time?" The restaurant was less than half full and it was so loud, you couldn't even hear him. He did cry one time, and I picked him up and held him. Then he was fine. No one even looked over because they couldn't hear them. So we won't be back for a long time. Every time we come here, we spend a good amount of money. And to be treated like we'll be a nuisance was unprofessional.

Yanni is the best server. The restaurant overall is fantastic but his gracious attention and recommendations make this one of the best restaurants in town.

This was some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had! The grilled octopus was incredible. The sangria was delicious. Our server was delightful and attentive. I will be back!

Very difficult with a gluten allergy. Mentioned it right off the bat to our waitress and she immediately made a joke about her just leaving. Then proceeded to “recommend” three menu items that clearly had gluten in them (buttered noodles, waffles, and pita bread). Then when we asked her if the crispy potatoes were gluten free she said “yes, they’re baked, I’m 100% sure of it”. We pressed her to ask the kitchen just to verify as my wife and daughter will get very ill if they have even cross-contaminated food with gluten. She came back and said that they were actually fried in the same oil as gluten containing dishes. Overall not a great experience. My wife didn’t order anything because she lost trust that she wouldn’t get sick.
