Nava Taqueria is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to eat. The food is delicious and fresh, the service is great and the ambience is very nice. We enjoyed sitting on the patio on a lovely evening at The Mill on Etowah.
We finished our appetizer and meal and one of our party had never even received his first drink, not even a water. The waitress charged us for two drinks that we ordered - she brought one drink after we finished our meal (which wasn’t the drink that we ordered) and never brought the other. She put both drinks on our tab, but the manager took the drinks off.
Great margaritas, excellent patio seating, great service, good quality food.
The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Nava Taqueria. From the hostess to our server to the manager, the customer service was perfect. The food was delivered to our table very quickly and was so fresh and delicious. We will definitely come back!
We love going for the food and ambience
We came to celebrate our August birthdays. Three of us had not dined there prior to our visit. All of us came away very pleased with our food, so good and plenty. I love the way food was presented.
A Mexican restaurant that doesn’t serve Modelo???
Great drinks (smokey margarita), appetizers (shrimp), and entrees shrimp tacos and the enchiladas. The service was outstanding, our experience from the host stand, our server and the food was great.
Really good food and service for a party of 7 was terrific.
When you first walk in, the atmosphere seems upbeat and a lot of fun! We were very excited to have an impromptu date night here! We did make a reservation, but once we arrived we saw there were open seats at the bar and let the hostess know we would sit there. We waited almost 20 minutes at the bar to be greeted. Once we were greeted, Caleb had a smile that lit up the room and brought back hope of a good experience here. Unfortunately, they did not seem to have enough staff to run in an efficient manner. Our food took a little over an hour to get to us and when it did, it was the wrong order. The manager came over and promised it would be just a few more minutes and it would be out. We waited another 20 minutes and the manager finally came with our food. I ordered the mahi tacos and my boyfriend ordered the pastor tacos. The food was incredibly underwhelming for me. My boyfriend thought his tacos were just ok but nothing worth the price we paid for our meals. Now, I did order the house margarita and it was actually very good! Still a little pricey for a house margarita, but we did know going into it that the prices were a little higher than average for Tex-Mex type food. Overall, I gave it three stars because despite the shortage of staff everywhere, the food was not worth the price I paid, multi-tasking is key in the service industry and it did not seem that there were many there who could handle that; maybe more thorough training if possible. We probably would not return, but really did like our server who did his best with a smile on his face!
Great food, vegan options, great patio experience.
We were seated and orders were taken. Then, we waited and waited some more. Took forever to get drinks, then it took forever to get appetizers, and then forever again to finally get entrees. Seated at 8 and out of there at 9:30. That’s a normal timeframe for fine dining with courses but not for a tacqueria. The food was heavy, greasy and just okay. The waitress was nice but that can only go so far when the wait time is that long and the food is average at best for the price. It’s local and in a good location, however we won’t be back.
Disappointed advised not restaurant police to serve complimentary chips abd saisa. With somewhat inflated food price
Good place, good food.
Limited menu and overpriced drinks. Our group of 7 tried a wide variety of items and only one was liked by anyone.
Pricey for TexMex!
First off, our Service was great(which is only reason I gave 2 stars, everything else unfortunately was sub-par.
I would expect food to be premium quality for the price.
2 people: 2x 2 Taco meals, Guacamole, and 2 Margaritas -> $81 w/tip
Pork Belly tacos had over cooked meat; Shrimp tacos were cut up shrimp and under cooked; the guac was way too salty… the yellow corn chips did not have a good flavor… + you don’t get nacho chips and salsa automatically like a traditional Mexican restaurant would provide.
We can eat for less and get better food and drinks by going to traditional Mexican establishments. We won’t be back!
Food was delicious! Best carne assada tacos I’ve ever had!!
Love the atmosphere, great addition to Canton dining. Manager/owner (not sure which) was very attuned to my wife not being enthusiastic about one dish. He picked up on it, made it right, and left us happy to return. All other dishes were perfect and really unique. Can’t wait to return.
Table for 4 at 7pm on a Saturday. Somewhat busy but by no means slammed. Service was good but food took a very long time. Tacos all around. Margarita prices were puzzling...frozen cost $3 more than rocks, for exact same drink. Overall was a 3-star experience.
Excellent service from Heidi
Will be back
Food was not great for the prices they are charging. Drinks and dessert were fantastic. Unfortunately, probably will only return if meeting someone for a drink. Had high hopes but it fell way short.
The food was very average although not traditional Mexican. They were four people in the restaurant I understand that’s due to Covid but I would not return
We had an excellent experience. This restaurant is a hidden gem in a very cool area. Our server, Heidi, did an excellent job and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience. We will definitely be back.
Our group of eight had a great experience! Great food and great service!
Our first experience here was great but a few weeks later was very different. We were not greeted by our server for quite a while and only after a manager realized we had not been served. One person in our party ordered soup and the server asked if she wanted it now or with dinner. She said now. Next thing we knew our food came out and the soup never came out. Our server did not come back to the table until we were done eating. We told her about the soup and had her take it off. It took a long time to get our checks and to pay. A totally different experience from our first visit. Hopefully they figure everything out.
2nd time here and the last. Cold bland food. Very little Tequila in their margaritas. $6 for chips that were very stale. Other than that a great place.
Love the fresh ingredients and unique dishes! Margaritas are really good!
Nava exceeded my expectations. Was expecting a typical Tex-Mex yet got a truly Latin inspired dining experience. Service was awesome.
Service was not good, waitress would disappear for long times without checking in. Took 20 minutes to get cheese dip appetizer, multiple things wrong on meal and waitress nowhere to be found
Food was great. Server / bartender was extremely rushed, dropping plates on table. He was wearing a mask but as a hair net for his beard rather than covering his mouth and nose so was constantly guarding my drink from
Potential contamination - made us all uncomfortable since we selected this place partially because of the rating that all staff wear masks. A mask is no good if it’s not covering your face bro. Margaritas are well overpriced for the volume of drink you receive - a small low ball glass full of ice for $12.00 - felt like a rip off. Might return but won’t order the overpriced margaritas and will insist on proper mask protocols.
We really enjoyed our meal. The ambiance is fantastic and the food is off the charts. Highly recommend this gem in Canton!
New place to eat in downtown Canton, GA. Great food, great service, drinks are amazing! Not your typical "Mexican" restaurant - more upscale. Will return for sure!
The best food! Love that they don’t have a typical Mexican menu. Even had some fried cactus. Our 2nd time there and will keep coming!
Checked website for new restaurants in Canton and reviewed Nava. Sounded great so went there and enjoyed our food which was served nicely and our waiter was very pleasant. Will definitely go back and recommend to others.
Went here for a Valentine's Day lunch. I had the salmon tacos and my husband had the chicken tacos. Both were outstanding. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic food and service!
Approach to the restaurant is a little remote but the food, service, ambience - nothing disappoints!
Must try in the area :)
Food and service was great! Nice addition to downtown Canton.
Great Food, Great Service and fabulous margaritas.
We Will definitely go back and make it a habit.
Thank you for helping making canton great to live in with more dining choices.
