Located in the West observation lobby of the Picayune Tower, Nativos is Italian food at its best.     This was my first time and I loved it. It is a little hard to find as it is not in the casino itself with the other restaurants. The food was great...especially the Chicken Marsala.

    IT was suppose a nice thanksgiving Dinner. well it was not, it was the worse . The Turkey was dry and to salty as for the ham it was the same. sunday brunch is the best. Better than the turkey dinner I had for thanksgiving there this is the last time I will go there. For any holiday meals no thank you I hope some one reads this. high up at Chukchansi. BJ should this.

    We came for Thanksgiving. Good news/bad news. GOOD: The turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, salad dressing, rolls, antipasto, pumpkin ravioli and desserts were outstanding! Excellent! What I would expect from a fine dining restaurant. BAD: The ham was very salty. The candied yams were mushy - looked, smelled and tasted like they were canned. The cranberry sauce also tasted canned. For an average cook, this would be no big deal. However, with all of the farmland in Fresno County, one would expect your Chef to appreciate the quality of fresh produce. Speaking of which, the green bean casserole did taste fresh, however the sauce was very thin and watery with very little onions. As for the stuffing, it tasted like “quick and easy” Stove Top, or maybe Mrs. Cubbison’s. Again, for an average home cook, it’s okay. I expect more from an Executive Chef. The butternut squash soup was grainy and bland. One more thing… for a fine Italian restaurant, I was shocked to see pre-made, packaged tiramisu. On the bright side, the portions from the carving station were generous. The decor was lovely and everyone, particularly our server Savannah, was friendly, professional, attentive and just great. I understand that an ordinarily gourmet Italian restaurant doesn’t exactly specialize in a Traditional American thanksgiving meal, but if I might make a suggestion, homemade cranberry sauce is cheap and easy to make. Add a little orange zest for some pizzazz! Instead of canned candied yams, just bake up fresh yams cut them in half, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Mrs. Cubbisons make a good cornbread stuffing - crumble in some sausages and pecans or pine nuts for a real gourmet side dish. Prime rib or roast beef instead of the salmon (which didn’t appear to be very popular from what I observed.) Overall, there’s more good than bad, but room for improvement, in my opinion. Hope to spend Thanksgiving with you again next year!

    Thanksgiving buffet was salty, cold and tasteless. Presentation was not what you would expect from this restaurant, the staff was very professional and pleasant. Seating was cramped but sunlight from setting sun was blaring with no thought of lowering the shades making it hot and way too bright. Salad bar was a joke unless you like just tomatoes , large chunks of parmesan cheese, and a toss in of old olives on your plate.

    Service was great. Even the section with sushi was amazing, he made a couple rolls for our group that is picky about sushi and it was such a nice touch. I don't know what was on the waffles but it was the best I have ever had. Seafood was the main draw for us and that was really good as well.

    We had gone for my father’s 90th birthday, as he still loves buffets, our server Mathew was wonderful, very prompt and professional as we had lots of needs and attention. We were a party of 6. He made our experience very special. Will go back and will definitely request him. Thank you, Vicky

    The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 for food, was just that there were not any salads offered. I just feel for the price there should have been a few salads. There was plenty of fresh fruit items and marinated mozzarella balls and tomatoes. Overall the food was really very good and if good quality. I had the extra large beautiful fresh shrimp and crab, which were delicious. Basic omelets were made to order and very good. Their sausage links were outstanding. I also had a slice of prime rib that was pretty good. My drink was a cranberry mimosa that was okay. No garnish just the mimosa. I had the banana fosters crepe with vanilla ice cream. I think the ice cream was homemade. It was pretty good. 4 stars was given rather than 5 for the value/price. I think a $49 price rather than $59 would be more appropriate for this smaller buffet. The restaurant was very nice and some seating outside to enjoy the beautiful view was available. I would return again for a special occasion.

    The Tiramisu Martini was delicious. The Pappardelle Bolgonese was also delicious and served nice and hot. The Chicken Parmesan was overcooked and the Capellini was drenched in Marinara and it was barely warm! And, the rolls were stale! Our server Nicolas was great. William, the bartender was also great. Did not care for the jazzy music.

    We have eaten here many times as we are locals. We were a party of seven which they have a mandatory gratuity for large parties, which we are fine with because we tend to tip more. In this situation, it took 35 minutes for us to receive our drinks to begin with. When questioning our waitress, she said, “you will need to deal with it and don’t make me mad”. We asked to speak to a manager and he was apologetic and said he would write up this in his notes to the GM. When food finally arrived my meal was an extremely small portion. (This restaurant is know for large portions). All of the members of our party received the usual large amazing portions. When I alerted our waitress to my extremely small portion she said, I told you not to make me mad, then began laughing and walked away. Another waitress saw her laughing and saw my frustration and agreed that the portion was very unusually small. Our waitress came back over and began to apologize. I handed her the meal told her to please take it back and I would not be eating anything. I was so appalled at the experience I could not eat. When the final bill came my entree was on the bill. I called over the waitress and pointed out the issue. She laughed and again said guess you will have to deal with it….8 told you not to make me mad!” The. Laughed, and took the bill back and removed the charges. Not sure if this waitress uses sarcasm to communicate in general but I found her to be insulting. Our family has enjoyed this restaurant for several years now, but if this is the direction they are moving in, we will not be back.

    Atmosphere was very nice. Service was spot on. Menu selection was good. Appetizer of calamari and artichokes was very good. There were 6 of us each ordering a different entree and the comments were all...it's OK not remarkable. Most felt it was a good experience once but don't know that we will go out of our way to return. We all traveled between 140 to 160 miles round-trip for a monthly family dinner. We might try it again if we are at the casino anyways but probably won't make a special trip for it.

    When we first arrived we ordered a bottle of wine. We waited 30 minutes and still no wine. The waitress said they had a new bartender and instead of going to get the bottle of wine and bring it to our table she said she wasn’t sure how long before our bottle would arrive at our table so we cancelled it because we had an event to attend at the casino. Our food came out at different times. I was done eating my meal by the time my boyfriend got his meal. At the end we had to wait at least 15 minutes to get the bill. The positive part is the food was really good and the atmosphere was nice.

    I would like to see the following items on your future menu: 1. I would like to see some nice cooked vegetables on your menu to choose from; 2. I would like to see some additional raw salads to choose from on your menu; 3. It would be very nice to add Italian ice cream flavors (Spumoni) on your menu. Your Italian Cheese Cake was very, very delicious!!! Your Pastry Chef is to be commended! The food and service was very delicious and outstanding!

    Everyone there is great! We truly love Jenna and Bartender!!! We love how they both make us feel so welcome and special!!! Jenna is Special!!! Great drinks!!! Matthew was great as our waiter! So helpful! Our food was outstanding, chef was very open to make each dish to our special liking!!! Can’t wait to go back, soon!!!

    Look forward to a return visit but not on a Saturday Concert night. Food was very good and priced appropriately. Our waiter was very nice but simply to busy on a 'concert' night. We couldn't hear each other due to the noise level. We're going back to try some more of the menu items. Our dinners were prepared very well and delicious, served hot too! Nice work for a busy night.

    After the nice hostesses sat us, bread was served and we waited 45 minutes before the server came to take our order. We had to ask the hostess twice and another server before anyone came over. Our drinks took forever to be served, the appetizers and salads beet our drinks to the table. We ordered two Ceaser salads, one came out with only 3 croutons on it and the other had none. When the food was served, the server reached over the table to hand it to everyone and when it. Amd time to put the cheese on, she said hold up your plate instead of walking around the table?!!

    Always good food at Nativos when we can catch them open. Missed the special touches we used to get before they closed though. We have been in the past for anniversaries and birthdays they always offered something special to celebrate with us this time, however no one even offered us dessert. We will still be back because it’s our special place. We will let it slip as a bad night.
