   We are locals and decided to try Nativos. The menu looked appetizing so we made reservations and arrived on time. No one was there to greet us initially but a hostess arrived a few minutes later. Instead of greeting us, the hostess looked right at her computer screen and asked if we had reservations. She said she would seat us in about 5 minutes (and left). Over 15 minutes later, she arrived once again and seated us. This would not be worth mentioning, except that there were 7-8 empty tables within yards of where we were standing. Our server was friendly (unlike the hostess) and knowledgeable about the food items. The food was very good! We each ordered a different type of ravioli: lobster and mushroom. The sauces were delicious. There were a couple minor disappointments such as the cheap dinner rolls that were served at our table (think the little square ones you had at Thanksgiving years ago). I would expect a higher grade roll at an upscale Italian restaurant. Another oddity was that we ordered a Caesar salad (to split) and it came in a large bowl with a serving spoon, placed between us. No salad plates were offered, so we had to use our already-used bread and butter plates to eat the salad. In addition, I had to ask for fresh ground pepper for my salad and raviolis. We were seated right next to the bar, and although there was only one couple at the bar, all the waitresses were coming by our table on the way to checking their customers out, which was distracting. Finally, the opera music was too loud and I had to raise my voice for my husband to hear me at our small cafe table. All this being said, we will try going back and ask for a table in the dining room (which we never saw).

   I really love the staff at Nativos. From the greater to the server to the Chef Sam and his associates. Chef Sam always comes out to my table and makes sure everything is alright with me.He even goes out of his way and makes me a special dessert. I highly recommend them for your dining experience.

   I had the chicken Alfredo; not much flavor and sauce was the runniest I’ve ever had in my 66 years. The warm bread rolls were to die for; excellent service and enjoyed my specialty cocktail. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and loved it.

   The meal is always wonderful as usual. We love our server Wendy she is the best. Remembers who we are from Santa Cruz. We try to go there when we come to Chukchansi but not open a lot to make reservations. It's not always open when we come during the week.

   This was our first visit since COVID. Our waiter was Mathew. We were confused about the process at first. He didn’t introduce himself as our waiter; didn’t advice us that we could start to get food and didn’t tell us about the drink specials. Another waitress did educate us on the brunch process and tell us about the specials. However, Mathew did acknowledge my birthday by bringing me a birthday cheesecake slice. Which was wonderful. He did start to warm up to our needs and winded up being very good. I do think the bus person should take plates away without having to be asked. We live in Oakhurst and will go back again.

   Great variety of food. I really enjoy the baby oysters and smoked salmon. This time they had my favorite Chukchansi rolls. I had to save room for a creme Brulé and fresh made crepes.

    We were celebrating a birthday here on our first visit. The food was mediocre at best for the group of five of us. I ordered the NY steak cooked to medium. It was served so well done that is was difficult to even eat. Disappointed with our experience & would not recommend.
