Chef Nasrin can’t remember life before cooking. For her, cooking is an expression of love. In her family’s kitchen in Tehran, she faithfully learned secret recipes and delicate skills from her grandmother and mother. In her restaurant those dishes and memories are transformed into a flavorful experience that transcend borders and time. Nasrin's kitchen menu is a celebration of traditional dishes from all over Iran.

The menu consists of classic stews including her signature Fesenjoon - an elegant combination of pomegranate molasses and crushed walnuts, as well as other beloved favorites like Ghormeh sabzi. Kabobs, vegetarian centric appetizers and savory side dishes also adorn the colorful menu.

Chef Nasrin and her authentic cooking has been featured in several renowned publications: including the New York Times, The New Yorker Magazine, Vogue Magazine, Eater. She has also created memorable catering events for Google, Twitter, HBO & NYC Public Library.

this was my first time having persian food and WOW! the staff was so lovely, and the table next to us helped us order :) will definitely be back!

Service was excellent.. the servers were warm, welcoming and very attentive. Food was decent, menu is hard to find online beforehand and limited when you get there. The plastic table cloth covers are off putting. The stairs up to the restaurant had trash and used gum on it which is pretty disgusting.

Well curated menu. The appetizers were unusual and excellent. We ordered one of each, shared around the table of 5 people and everyone was quite pleased. The selection of non-alcoholic drinks was interesting. The entree selection was limited but each item was delicious. We didn't try dessert, but I will next time. Go there and enjoy.

I appreciated the attention to detail and the friendliness of the entire staff. Food was great and my girlfriend (Iranian) verified that it was!! Presentation and added birthday experience with music and candle on the dessert was a nice touch by the restaurant! Made it memorable, thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Nasrin’s. Uniquely flavored, interesting foods from start to finish. Service was excellent, friendly, informative and timely. It was pleasant to have a conversation without having to shout over noise or loud music. Pretty and homey decor.

A truly lovely experience. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was kind and attentive. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. It felt like a genuine, home-style meal made with care. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Good Persian food with a lot of unique dishes you won’t find in NY. That said, 50% more expensive than other Persian restaurants across the city.
